At least with the temples you get a takeaway trinket for your donation baht.
Unlike the west.
Put money in a plate for nothing, then years later feel very sick about the sort of "activities" you might have been funding.

I'm overseas at the moment and will return and stay in our house in the GF's province, where I don't usually reside.During the 2 weeks before going back to Phuket I'll spend at least 2 nights in a Bangkok hotel, stay with friends in Lopburi and another hotel either in Chonburi or Hua Hin.
In theory I'd have to report the one night spent with friends and 4 times at the provincial Immigration office; the two other trips out should be reported by hotels.
No chance!
hope for your sake its not 800baht per offence.

No reason was given other than "my boss reject you sorry ka". Yes I was able to get back in after greasing a couple palms so to speak. I was definitely sweating.
so just out of interest, if you care to tell..
what was the "greasing" ball-park figure?

Reminds me of the new you-beaut Thai made generator.
Can run an average house for 24 hours just after cranking the handle a few times.
how do people keep falling for this pie in the sky stuff?
lol

Why are people posting and allowing mis-truths to go on about this?
If they have valid METVS, granted from a Thai consulate in their home country,
obviously having been vetted and passed all the requirements,
then there is little or virtually NO chance of being knocked back.
You guys know very well, Its only the perpetual free "Visa on arrival" attempts that carry any risk.

rue they didn't want wait till the van filled up but
WHY didn't they take a phuket limo taxi for around 1,000 baht
why take the van at all?Um, as the article said, they couldnt be bothered waiting??
Maybe tired and grabbed the first option that presented??
They probably also figured that was the better/safer option than trying to deal with sleazy BS private car touts that would of been falling all over themselves to get to the sek-ka-see farang.
Anyway, those girls probably pull in good money in Aus.
A taxi from Melb airport into city is probably equivalent to 1500baht so maybe they thought a van for that price was ok.
Remember they are not like the Thaivisa kee-noks saving coins for the baht bus!!

The video always smacked as a bit patronising to me.
A bunch of already rich/succesful people being signed on to promote the oldest idea in history an and claiming..
"Ah,... yeah, BTW thats exactly how i made it..my secret to success personified"
lol
Whether they were being paid for it or appearing for nothing doesnt matter as both are just pandering to the ego and craving attention.
The rules work more to a "knowing" than projecting anything. And they are rules that cant really be taught.
The world and reality doesnt work so easy as just wishing shit into existence.
The world isnt obliged to just pander to your ego, because you greedily envision something you want, every night before sleep.
And if its money and fame you want..
look for it in the world only.
not spiritually!!
And good looks means more than anything in that superficial world.
Drop Ego and your half way there.
..if you give to a beggar, do you look around to see whos watching?
..if you hold a door open for someone, do you always look back to see if the person acknoledges or thanks you?
Thats EGO..and its what blocks you from being true to yourself and attracting what you NEED..not WANT!!

The TM30 was never "a thing" years ago and the IMM laws have never been altered, just the enforcement.
Im sure some officers use it as a bit of a "A-hole tax" for big mouth foriegners.
they are very easy to pick.
Ive known plenty that have never done it, never been fined and never even been asked about it.
I suspect this OP has only just read about it and is doing some trolling.
Try getting into places like Australia, then you will really understand the meaning of getting "dicked around"!!
Anyway, Good luck in the Phils O.P
I think they will eat you alive the same as Thailand
and in 6 months time you will be looking for PhillVisa site to troll on.

I am kind of curious as to why Nigerians flock here to do their scamming ?
Is this a problem in Vietnam, Indonesia or the Philippines too or is it just here?
Going by the news, there seems a larger percentage of Thai women get scammed by that "Import tax duty" scam.
ie. the small tax Thai women pay when these guys are gonna send them lots of gold, Iphones and money.
Im not sure if its been a thing for such largish numbers of females getting duped so easy in other countries?
As always, it comes down to 2 things.. greed and stupidity.
They are clever enough to go where the easy marks are, and they can live here reasonably cheap.

Where did you get this "Text book", amazingly accurate, description of the Thai male character?
Whats even more amazing is you could use pretty much the same text book for the Thai female character!

Does the USA realise that Cambodia is NOT actually a part of the USA, but an independent country in its own right?
Not suprising, considering thier reputation of being the wannabe world police.
Its been a bitter pill for them to swallow, realising that laws they pass in their own parliament dont neccesarily have to be followed by the rest of the world.
So now its all sanctions. Thats pretty much all they got.
And watch the dummy get spat as other countries decide we dont have to abide by the USAs sanctions, and trade with the "bogey-men" regardless!

Thousands of expats suckered in by the " never put even 1 baht in a thai bank' mantra on TV and kept cash offshore
Idiots !
Yep, it will now (roughly) cost an extra US$4500 to put 800k baht in a Thai bank,
compared to the rates of just 12 months ago.
You gotta take ALL advice given here with a pinch of salt there are so many Wallys around.
Remember, these are the guys that actually skirt around Thai laws, by buying houses and businesses and then cry when they get duped!
And then if you should suggest renting is the smarter choice than buying a condo,
they will be lining up to have a shot at you!
yes, idiots indeed!

I cannot belive any Thai Appartment manager would kick you out like that if they had the chance of collecting extra days of rental income.
So you obviously done something beforehand to rub them up the wrong way.
You could have unknowingly tried to get fresh with someones wife or gf?
Since most problems start with women here, I noticed you dodged the question as to whether youve been taking bargirls back there, so that could be it.
Also they probably spent a lot of time packing up your junk and smelly undies, which they surely wouldnt have enjoyed.
Since you were in the wrong in the first place i really dont get why you would be jumping up and down, kicking luggage and what not.
It didnt occur to you to just be calm, say sorry, and offer the rest of the weeks rent in advance?
No wonder so many farangs end up in trouble, arrested and/or bashed up here.
You guys wouldnt even try to be so belligerent to folks and home.
why do it here?

More likely another childish stunt like previous..
when he hired a luxury car for a day and drove around telling everyone he just bought it.
We will probably soon discover that place is some upmarket luxury B&B setup that he scraped up enough dough to stay there one night.

The baht will never drop.
There are many reasons.
Thailand as a business has low labour costs.
They do have various exports, not only rubber and rice.
If all else fails they will always have ideal weather for agriculture, and they seem to have managed water a lot better than other countries.
Economies will soon be chrashing everywhere due to out of control household debt, and the massive wealth shift that is going on.
Thailands problems will always be relatively minor compared to those of other countries, so the Baht will always be a safe haven.
It aint over yet, be prepared to see your exchange rates shaved off another 10-15% against the baht in coming years.
-
Well who can really blame them?
Considering TiT, i wouldnt be donating any more than 40baht either, assuming maybe 10% might actually get to where its supposed to go.
-
Sounds like typical Isaan logic:
if have money:
him not paedo-him very good man, take care very good
if not have money:
him paedo-very bad man, not take care

So if my wife takes on a loan in her sole name with no countersigning or guaranteeing or any other input from me or knowledge about it, you're claiming that her debt automatically becomes mine also? That's novel.
There have been a few reports here where the Thai wife has racked up gambling debts unbeknown to the husband...
When the payments are left to default, the wolves will come for the house and theres nothing the husband can do about it, other than pay up OR loose the house.
Id say its a tactic Thai women use on purpose to push a "no longer usefull" farang out.
One famous case,a few years back, where the sharks even threatened to kidnap a guys kids.
I think in that case, the ex-wife forged papers and sold his expensive property(s) very cheap to people who were in on it.
The guy end up in Bangkok protesting at Prayuths office i think.
And dont kid yourself. there is always ways to help Thais win against farang.
In Isaan the lady only has to have friends or family working at a district office and its no problem processing house papers, documents, whatever, with the farang husbands signature forged.
You would well to quit scoffing at everything and open yourself up to what could happen unless you yourself are caught un-awares.
Id say theres been many a guy who thought it was BS..until it happened to them.

You have done what many others would have avoided at all costs.
That is, marry a Thai and have kids. As long as you are here you are completely trapped.
I dont know the answer for your situation.
The only way you will come out unscathed is to do it Thai (man) style, do a runner to Australia and do not look back.
Sadly, even when married most Thai women cant understand that money is not a never ending commodity.
The thing with you is, being married means you are liable for half the debt she racks up, and she knows it
Thats why she will go on spending spree, buy up assets, businesses etc
knowing they will eventually force you to pay for it all
When you run out of money and go home, you cannot take houses, cars and business with you right?
Thats when she will sell up and cash in everything you paid out,
and probably do it a 50% loss.
Doesnt matter to them at all as its all free money.
do a runner now while you still have your sanity and money.

Thailand Elite Visa and immigration
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
As it is essentially an unlimted entry visa, surely they would not require you to report you address on each arrival?
If it was in the rules, im sure they would not enforce it.
Imagine the uproar if folks paid that sort of money and immigration wanted to fine them 800 for not reporting.
lol
