He won't last long at that price as they cost 42 baht per bottle to buy, out of your 2 baht you have to pay staff, elec for fridge, air con, lights etc. What are the prices of the other drinks as this must be a short time promotion.

What happened to Sweden? They never had a lockdown and life went on as normal but we do not get any news about how they are doing. Just curious.

Now they are trying to kick the bars while they are down, no customers so no tea money so they will enforce laws that have been ignored for years. Nice one Thailand.

Quick close down the country again just in case.
-
I own a bar and rarely sit with the same customer for more than 20 minutes because I like to mingle so if all my customers did the same my bar should be safe therefore using the above logic I should be able to open TODAY!!!

Why were they not tested before they left Kuwait???

What about Pattaya and Jomtien beaches or are they more at risk than Bang Saen. Remember Pattaya has not had a case of the virus in over 45 days.

WE have a lot of expats living on the darkside of Pattaya who would love to go to their local bar for a beer with mates, there are many bars on the darkside who only cater for expats so for those of you who think keep the bars closed as there are no tourists that does not apply to everywhere. there are a lot of reasons why bars should open, ladies get to earn money, in turn they spend money on food carts, the bars buy booze and ice from the vendors and the list goes on. Also a hell of a lot less people waiting for food parcels.

I use a double blue light mosquito zapper on the farm and it works great, the only downfall is my 2 dogs hate the zapping noise as it kills the mozzies.
-
So the crowds are allowed back into busy markets but I cannot go to a quiet bar and have a beer with my mate, go figure. There are a lot of ladies and vendors in Pattaya on the poverty line because the bars are still closed.

I would love to see the list of questions asked.

Better isolate the province just in case and put mosquito netting around the borders so none escape. As I have posted in the past in excess of 1 million people die from mosquito bites worldwide every year but they do not close countries down because of mosquito's so why are we closed down now???

Open the bars then they could really go back to work.

So you can travel in a bus for 12hrs but you cannot go down to your local bar and have a quiet beer, seems a bit one sided to me. Open the bars and let the ladies start earning again.

1000 baht a day sounds a lot, is that each or between them. If that was each surely there would be no vacancies to fill.

From what I have read the majority of offenders are Thais so I hope the govt doesn't penalise us all for the few.

Everyone seems to be over thinking the problem. 167 live cases from 165 million population I cannot see why everyone is pannicking. Why don't we just close the country off to the rest of the world and be done with it then we don't have to put up with foot and mouth disease, bird flu, the horse virus and any other imported diseases that affect the country. The virus is under control even with everyone traveling home for the holidays, overcrowed BTS trains, overcrowded trucks for building site workers just to name a few. Get your heads out of the sand and lets get the country back to normal. I expect to get some flak but this is one mans opinion. Thank you and be safe.

In excess of 1 million people die of mosquitoes world wide every year, that is far more than covid 19 but we do not lock down the country or the world for mosquitoes. Just another problem we have to live with.

Just been from Chaiyaphum to Pattaya 4 road blocks but none manned. Return 2 days later and no road blocks, traffic normal. Dates, left 30th April return 2nd May. Route, 331, 304, 24.

Look at the figures, 3.1 million infected world wide from a population of 7.8 billion people. Not bad odds.
Thailand 228 under treatment from a population of 65 million people, F...in great odds so why does the whole country still have to be under lockdown??? Sure keep the borders closed but let the people of Thailand get back to living their lives.
-
Why do they need to postpone holidays? nearly everybody is out of work anyway.

Most of the cash handouts go to the wrong people anyway, you can do without many things but you cannot do without food and water.
-
Forget about the 5000 baht handout, set up food banks around the country and feed everyone that needs it. That is a win win for everyone and also creates more jobs for people to help prepare the food.
-
Only 2 left in hospital, open Buriram and let people make a living again, keep road blocks in place but why close all shops for 2 sick people???
