He touches on many relevant points, I think the message has been delivered clearly enough, about not being wanted, (and the senders on the back of the enveloped are hoping others shall adopt their attitude),
I think the "Retirement" label is past history, and the situation is stressful for those who still consider it is a stable ongoing viable option.
It's now just a longer visit visa, because a person may be retired.
Anyone that asked/asks me about "retirement", since Oct 2019, I would respond that the option is not offered anymore, by Custom & Practice. The potential of sudden regulation changes suggested in the video would not make much odds overnight ( ), until a few years of revised Custom & Practice, uniformity of regulation etc. had been demonstrated.
Of course there will still be those hit by the great first impression, burn their boat on the beach, and then read the notice on the palm tree later.
But anyone ???? planning Retirement ????........????
A post lock-down video, should be interesting...
Well said.

Why not ban cars in cities? Cause too much pollution not to mention death and accidents.

It has seemed to me that the laws or rules of international economy do not apply to the Thai economy. Look at some facts. Massive unemployment. Little interest among those with capital to invest in Thailand on a large scale for fear of instability in the country. Vietnam, Cambodia or even Myanmar look more attractive when it comes to investment. The political stability in this country is just on the surface. After the floods in 2011 many industries closed here and foreign capital investment fell markedly. But for people with a lot of baht it is surely in their favor to keep the baht high and valuable. Because if it falls they lose money. Personal vs national interest do not always follow each other.

There's no reason for a curfew at all, it's pathetic.
Totally agree with you.

What roadblocks? I have been told by Thai people I know well that they have travelled regularly between provinces for the past weeks without any problems. One told me, if you are unlucky the police will take your temperature and then you can drive on if within normal limits. It looks like there is one reality being presented in the news while the actual situation is quite different.

The alcohol ban is still in full effect in Phatumthani Province. Is it the only province in the country where the ban is still in force, and why is there no mention of this in the news?

Interesting discussions on Aussie TV how the world has totally overreacted to Covid19 but politicians don't have the guts to admit their mistake. Turns out the costs of suppressing the flu far outweigh the benefits.

Last year there were 10,000 suicides in Thailand. https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thailand-leads-asean-nations-in-annual-suicide-rate
That is an average of 27 per day.
The combined brains of six universities have counted 27 in three weeks when the figure should be approx 567 and most likely more due to the current economic crisis
A very good point. Just shows how data is falsified.

"In the future, foreign tourists wanting to visit Thailand will have to apply a month ahead and must agree to a 14-day quarantine upon entering the country. He said this move may help the private sector arrange quarantine sites for visitors."
The results of serious head traumas are incoherent speech and great confusion. Patients should be kept in semi-darkness with as little disturbance and external stimulation as possible.
No domestic Covid-19 cases in 45 days, five more test positive in state quarantine

The second wave is perhaps 2 months away max 3 months. Then a very possible 3 wave next year. With 6 week lockdowns as has started now in Melbourne. I hope not but the chances are this may happen.
