  1. This is my peeve, especially in Chiang Mai. There are signs at the entrances to most temples. Appropriate dress and behavior is just that. Are these same people sunbathing/wearing swim wear at their churches/cathedrals/mosques/synagogues? If you don't want to comply, there's absolutely no reason to visit temple complexes.
  2. Might I suggest that you don't visit a country that you feel contempt for? Would you wear this and sunbathe at the Vatican, or on your church lawn?
  3. Actually, there have been studies about this & the microplastics are interfering with hormones.
  4. You say that like it's a bad thing. Why bring others into a capitalist hell?
  5. WTF is wrong with you? Please go back to your own country and leave your toxic masculinity there. I wouldn't touch you with some one else's p*ssy. Women can make their own choices today; so m*n like you don't stand much of a chance. Are you one of the men who asks how much a wife/girlfriend cost?
  6. Maybe women are choosing not to have kids. All the work falls on women & why bring kids into a world when all they will do is struggle on a dying planet?
  7. Leave Disney and crap in the US; or wherever your home country is. More of that crap isn't needed/wanted anywhere else. World population tripled in 70 years, people know what sex is; they partake in it; they watch porn. Honestly, travelers know Pattaya for a sex destination. It's been know for sex since before I started visiting Thailand, over 30 years ago. Your "sex is bad" religious viewpoint is best left in your own country.
  8. Never saw drunks from any other country, like the ones beginning with U(S or K)? Happy fools always condemn "the other" to take the onus from themselves.
  9. What the hell is wrong with you? If you love war so much, go be a mercenary somewhere.
  10. Obviously you've never visited Russia. It's lovely, great museums, music, the arts, lovely people, good food. I understand they've translated a lot of street signage, etc., making travel better for most nationalities. I was lucky to have taken a few Russian language classes years before. I wouldn't visit since the war, but I thoroughly enjoyed my month there (2010).
  11. Yet last year, 12,000+ Thais ended up hospitalized. Just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean it doesn't affect anyone.
  12. How about learning some Thai and not arriving here just to objectify the women?
  13. This, my good white man, is the definition of a loser. I know you're from my home country, probably ex-military?
  14. Wow, what a draw, exploiting poor women is easier.
  15. If this isn't sarcasm, I'll respond with, I'd rather see stoners any day than drunks.
  16. You don't know many women, do you? Or you think that men are all they crack themselves up to be.
  17. My home country needs to try harder, they're number 2. Well, that could explain a lot.
  18. When people opt out, not only do they control their suffering, but their money. In the US, they keep you alive al long as they can to suck your last cent.
  19. I absolutely agree. It's our life & we have a right to end it if we choose. This needing to be "resilient" 24/7, ad infinitum, is ridiculous. We could allow it in a respectful way (Soylent Green, Edward G Robinson death scene) or make it as horrid and messy as possible. Sadly, all societies choose poorly.
  20. Are you fluent in Thai?
  21. I eat Thai 90% of the time, well, toss in some food from Myanmar & make it 98%. I don't see it as the same at all.
  22. Where do you get this information? I've been vegetarian for 30 years and find your comment preposterous.
  23. Really? She's following you around? Amazing.
