No company paying. I know 150K baht per month sounds a lot but 350K per month sounds a lot more ????

My original comment was on the current state of the rental market in Phuket, nothing more. What I can or cannot afford is irrelevant. ????

Not 4 of us sharing (not sure where you got that from?) Also, different landlord, but an "identical" villa to the one we were in.

Over the four years, yes. We did our research before moving here and that was the going rate for a villa of that standard in such a great location. Was "happy" to pay that, but what is happening in the market if pure craziness.

This is <deleted> crazy. We rented a 4 bedroom villa in Sai Tan at the top of Boat Avenue for four years for 150K per month, both pre and post pandemic. Private pool, very nice villa Left nine months ago. Similar villa (not as nice) on the market now for 350K per month. We are not "poor" but over GBP 8,500 per month in Thailand - WTF???

Ralf, it is really quite easy to calculate how fast he was going. The lady looked like she just came out of a 7-11 so we can calculate the average length of a store front of 7-11's in Patong. We know the make and model of the white car that drives through the frame ahead of him so we have the dimensions of the vehicle and can easily calculate the speed it was travelling as a benchmark for all other vehicles in the frame. Looking at the clip we can see the guy in the yellow T-Shirt is walking at a very casual pace so we can calculate how fast he was walking. We know the make and model of the bike the "gentleman" in question was driving so we have the dimensions of that. Putting all the above evidence together we can make a fairly accurate calculation of the speed he was travelling. It was TOO FXXXXXG FAST. Happy now?
