    I have not come across the "No TIN then no money transfer" issue yet ,but more and more international financial institutions are requesting your TIN when dealing with them. There is a global tightening up on tax evasion which I believe will only get tighter and tighter. I suppose it depends on the complexity of you finances whether you will need one sooner or later.

    Get it checked out. I have had two removed and tested and both were cancerous. Made me much more aware of protecting the skin area that seems to be prone and also now get checked every 6 months. 🍻

    The exchange rate may be slightly better but when they tried to charge well over $100 for the transfer it raised my suspicions so I made the transfer from my offshore bank the very same day and ended up with more bahts in my account than Wise had quoted. I don't know how else I can put it - I got more bahts than using Wise.

    The only time I looked at Wise for an annual international transfer a few years ago, I actually got more in to my Thai account just using my offshore bank than I was quoted from Wise. Never looked at them since

    When I did my annual renewal at Phuket Immigration in December they picked up that I had stayed in Ranong for a couple of nights and did not get an updated TM30. They asked me to contact my landlord and get a new one there and then. 🍻

    "especially when you are over 60 or so" It is difficult for us "over 60's" when we cant even walk in to a room without forgetting why we went in there in the first place. 🤣🤣
