  1. What they do with 3.000.000 baht? Buy toilet paper?
  2. I don"t understand, I had exactly the same stoty as yours. Except that the IMO stamped my pass with a big smile and no overstay, joking that I was lucky to be right on time at immigration despite my flight was 2 hours later rhe following day.
  3. Many chinees owns units in the Base. I booked via booking.com without any knowledge of the owner. The guy happens to be Chinees. He doesn't talk any word of English, neither Thai. Could have helped because my Thai wife is with me. The first day was a nightmare, nothing worked neither airco, tv, safe, lights aso. I asked for two sets of keys and got only one. Also impossible to communicate with the guy. Finally he sent his handyman who also only spoke Mandarin. Luckily he was obsessed by my wife, she led him by the wand (such as me) and gots everything less or more done. But back to the topic. These small units of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen and 1 living make around 20 square meters. This remind me documentaries of the tiny condos in Chinas big cities. Should there be a link?
  4. I am interested, where is it?
  5. My dog gets sometimes bored such as my cat and my kids. That is why they need an adult to keep them busy. And my wife finds me boring but that's another story
  6. Their legs are endless and their prices are also ...less
  7. Are you aiming at a blond Russian lady with endless legs?
  8. bolt taxi cars. Trafic is for everybody and bikes too. You have to think strategically to avoid theses. Where you want to go and at what time of the day and which roads to run
  9. 7-11 brings it to your home with their bikes and at their risks
  10. A motorbike is a ticket not to heaven but to Bangkok Hospital here in Thailand. Definitly not recommended for older farangs whose hearing, sight, reflexes retrograde visibly. I use Bolt taxis so cheap so comfortable so secure and so easy to work with.
  11. Some are not gifted with a critical mindsetting. It are people with let us say a small tiny IQ. And effectivly those people are bringing AN downhill
  12. Call it stupidity or lack of logic or probably both. Yesterday I was at Central Festival in Pattaya. I wanted to change 200€ and because most banks are there and I was to lazy to go to an exchange shop outside I went to Krung Thai Bank. The employee asked my passport. I gave him a copy. He said he needed to see the original document. I replied, are you gone make a copy? Yes he said, I need to make a copy for my file. Well I said here is the copy, it is alrady made. No he said I need to make a copy of the original. I said well here you have a copy of the original. No he said I need to make a copy of the original... and the ping pong went endless on. Finally I said with a big smile and of course the usual wai that I would go to the exchange shop in sai song were they are satisfied with the copy and more give me 20 cents up per euro. In the meantime the local guard woke up and scrutinized the behaviour of that very suspicious farang.

  18. What is the added value of such a kind of OP?
  19. Same tought is their fingerprint database accurate or updated? TIT
  20. How they would know man, do you think their databases are so accorate or updated? I really doubt about it. I would give it a try, and worst case they refuse could you entry. And don't forget you earned 20.000 baht!
  21. I am surprised they didn't mention prostitution. Yes I forgot, since a few years there is no prostitution anymore in Pattaya
  22. I stay actually in The Base for 2 months. The building should be almost 5 years old. Initial price was around 150.000 baht per square meter. I already stayed there begin 2020. What was I astonished when I dicovered the state of this buiding now. In heavy rain the water seeps through the windows which are closed! All the doors are stuck. The interior coverings are already degraded. No water pressure in the shower, water flows from the tap in small streams. At the time of construction I often stayed in neighboring hotels. I'm not a construction expert, but I was amazed at how it was done. For example, they manually stacked bricks and glued cement to outside wall. The majority of workers being foreigners. I wonder the quality aspects and ask myself the financial question, would this have been a good investment?
  23. ok thanks
  24. Thank youGypsy
