Understand that every immigration office has the latitude to shape the policies and procedures for their office, and a baby hippo is what your local office says it is 🦛

In Udon Thani there are a number of good restaurants, 2 that stand out are Country Grille and Irish Clock. But really there are a ton of good recipes on Youtube/Facebook/etc. Toss out your microwave, get an oven and a couple of cooking plates, stock up on good supplies at cheese2meatu and/or ud villa. The final step is to let your woman see what a disaster you are chopping most anything; she'll kick you out of the kitchen and learn to use YouTube to make those meals your inner WesternMan™️ craves. Make sure and compliment her liberally - I find what works best is "you even cook better than my mom".

About 5 years ago I bought one of these cheapie tablets in USA and was definitely satisfied with it. The wifi was on the slow side but what do you expect for 5 years ago? I strongly recommend you buy from Lazada instead of Shopee. They have the 2100b versions you refer to, or you can toss in another 1200b and get a Samsung Galaxy plus you get it shipped from within Thailand, and if something goes wrong you get decent customer service. Expect shipped from China and a long wait from Shopee.

I always buy used company desktops, preferably thinkpads or dell. SSDs are so cheap the first thing I do is put in a new SSD and load it with a clean OS (google Windows 11, Ive found it for $10 us). You can never have too much RAM; sooner or later bloatware happens and 8G memory is just not enough. DONT buy hp laptops; the amount of bloatware they cram in is incredible. Finally DONT DONT DONT buy a Windows 10 machine.

You have a time sensitive matter, spending time on the internet listening to "experts" is not your wisest idea. 1. go to the canadian embassy in bangkok and ask them what to do. Document what they tell you and follow their instructions. Ive found my countries embassy to be very helpful when "issues" arise. Try to get the email address of a person there who can help you; make copies of your emails regarding this and save everything in a dedicated folder. 2. go to your local Thai Immigration office and ask them what to do. You really need to bring a person fluent in Thai along with you. Document and email (if necessary just email to yourself). Using email for this is preferable to line. Dont forget to attach relevant documents. Good luck

@Lolothai Take your wife to your local Immigration office and ask them, ideally meticulously documenting what they tell you, and do what they tell you to do. You are just asking for trouble using anything else as your source of information. You want people helping you who have seen your face, who make decisions, and know that in the future they will deal with you and your visa. I know this from painful experience.
