This happened to me a few times at 7-11's frequented by tourists in Pattaya. When they see that you don't pay attention to how they scan the items or are talking to someone or in a rush, they may inflate the bill. And of course they won't give you a receipt. Even when I asked for it, she lied some BS. Has this happened to you? Now I want to catch them red handed. I will pick lots of stuff and check the prices and then pretend that I am in a rush or talking on the phone and don't care about what they are doing. And then confront them with clear evidence.

Bypassing passport control
JoseThailand replied to 10years's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The majority of people visiting Thailand are legitimate tourists who come for short vacations. For them that would be a breeze. For the rest 1%, they will find a way to scrutinize them, don't worry. 😉 -

It helps getting sleepy but I don't need the stupid "high" associated with it, with all the weird thoughts, stupid laughter etc. -
I have noticed that sometimes the way a person thinks when they are really high on weed can look a lot like the thought patterns of someone who has schizophrenia. Both experience a sense of confusion, where normal ideas start to feel jumbled or out of place. For example, when someone smokes a lot of weed, they might suddenly think everyone around them is talking about them or planning something. This can be very similar to the paranoia that some people with schizophrenia feel, where they believe others are out to get them or that strange forces are at work. Another thing I have seen is how both being high and having schizophrenia can make it hard to tell which thoughts are real and which are not. Weed can spark daydreams that feel incredibly vivid, almost like mini-hallucinations. People with schizophrenia also have vivid hallucinations or beliefs that do not match reality. Of course, these are not exactly the same experiences, but the feeling of being trapped in your own mind, unable to separate real from unreal, can feel strangely similar. There is also something about the flow of thoughts that ties the two experiences together. A person who is high may jump from one idea to another without much connection. In schizophrenia, this can show up as disorganized thinking, where the mind leaps from thought to thought in a way that is hard for others to follow.

Inexpensive clinic for sleep disorders in Pattaya
JoseThailand posted a topic in Health and Medicine
What clinic can you recommend for treating sleep disorders in Pattaya? Something not as expensive as Bangkok Hospital. Most sleeping pills in Thailand cannot be bought over the counter, so I need a doctor's prescription for that. -
Because I live in Bangkok and Pattaya. I did my first 90 day report in Pattaya to avoid the Bangkok immigration hell. (In hindsight, I might have just skipped it.) As for the organized border runs, I don't wanna mar my passport with a stupid Cambodian visa, while at Poipet they allow evisas without a sticker. Plus I need a little bit of time to roam on the Cambodian side before going back into Thailand.

Oh, for sure it can still be AI! AI detectors aren’t perfect, and honestly, they’re just guessing based on patterns and structures they think are typical of AI-generated text. The thing is, AI models, especially newer ones, are getting really good at sounding human. Like, scarily good. They can mimic different writing styles, throw in some quirks, and even make their writing look less “robotic” on purpose. So, yeah, they can totally fool these detectors. It also depends on how you define “AI.” If the text was written with help from AI, even if a human cleaned it up or added their own spin, is it still AI? Detectors can’t really tell the difference between something an AI wrote on its own and something that’s been heavily edited by a person. They just look at the final product. At the end of the day, these tools are helpful, but they’re not the ultimate judge. If something feels too polished or a little off, it might still have AI fingerprints on it, even if the detector says 0%. What do you think? Have you seen something like this happen?
