Exactly! The DTV visa is the kind of proper visa we all "permanent tourists" have been waiting for.

People with tourist visas actually get denied entry sometimes for "staying in Thailand too much". But not with a DTV visa, as it is a proper visa to stay in Thailand long time.

So many people already exited and re-entered multiple times on a DTV visa, no problems reported

Actually I asked about an extension just because I was there for a 90 day report.

I went to immigration in Jomtien to ask about a DTV visa extension. From what I can tell, they were not super happy about it. One nasty lady at the information desk outright lied to me that they don't do DTV extensions and I need to exit and reenter. Of course, I didn't buy this BS and went to ask the information desk "boss" (the older lady sitting on the left). After a few shouts between them she told me that I can extend it but need to come within the last month of the current 6 month stamp.

How could you use the Sri Racha office for reporting online?

Naah. Thailand is only cheap if you eat crap and live in crappy rooms. Decent quality food and accommodation in Thailand costs pretty much the same as in the West.

Why pay in advance if you can pay the same 2000 baht after the fact?

Have you heard of anyone fined for skipping a 90 day report during their previous stays?

So my understanding is that it's the same as with TM30. If you never show up at immigration, you don't need worry
