Rexiprocol agreements buddy. That's what governments do you know, look after their citizens when overseas. Any nationality in UK is given A&E free of any charges. Thailand wants it all and more. Bangkok hospital should be ashamed of their action. There's making money and ripping you off.

Through in jail then deport him. Confiscate the Thai boat and put the captain in jail then fine him. They both knew what they were doing.

Where is the safety aspect?
Crime?
Violence?
Road safety
Corruption?
For me, Thailand's rank would be just in the middle over all.
And it's true. The best country is Portugal. After selling my/our house here I'll move there.,????
Absolutely correct Portugal is the no.1 place to be. Look at surveys by the professionals who deal with retirement.
Thailand was safe and cheap but not any more.

It's called "Building Regulations" and law. Compensation is already set by the governor which is not even enough to cremate the dead let yet alone compensate the families.
God bless those who suffered and lost their lives for the sake of stupidity and ignorance.

I'm sure they meant with foreign tourists.
How about a link to the original in Thai, maybe a mistranslation.
Let's not attack the alleged culprit so soon.

too many young people die on the road.. Why do parents allow them to ride a bike in the first place?? I see kids from primary school class 5 or 6 sometimes driving a motorcycle and when i see them in my class, sometimes injured I tell them that they are not allowed and if theyhave pain now I hope it will be a lesson.
Secondly the police is doing nothing about it.. High fines or confiscate the vehicles, that would hurt them and people only learn when they are hurt by things like this.
Why is it impossible to let people drive with a helmet?? In other countries no problem but in Thailand .....
and than not to forget if you see people on a motorcycle, it seems that they are sitting at home on a sofa and talking to eachother, looking backwarths to pilon driver, checking their phones as if they are important businesspeople,. In the beginning I felt sorry for the young wasted lifes by motorcycle accidents, but now after almost 20 years in Thailand, I don't care anymore.... Stupidity can't be cured.
Well said that man and I could not care less either. Stupid is stupid and it is self propergating within Thai society.

My journey to Surat Thani from Hua Hin in overnight executive class was not an experience I would repeat again. I skipped my return and flew to Bangkok and took a taxi back to hua Hin.

"So what is stopping the government from implementing digitization on a grand scale?"
Common sense, intelligence... I'll stop there ????????
Digital = less people. They need to keep people employed at all costs always been the case always will be. Just look at the banking sector which has many similarities. It's a case of if you don't like it go somewhere else.

A bit late for that,
If Thailand does anything that upsets China much they can just turn off the Mekong river...
Why worry about Thailand and Chinese control. 80% of Thais are Chinese anyway.
I'd rather be a chink than a yank they say.

Try wearing a mask with a hearing aid and spectacles. Thais put mask on when they leave home so you see them with mask and no helmet. If you understand Thais, they put it on so they won't forget to take it. Don't be so hypercritical about the Thai culture as a nation of inhernt risk takers, it not your life or country.

He says Pattaya correctly, listen to how the Thais say it and read how it is written - พัทยา
That is how the guy says it, so many westerners pronounce it as 'Pa-thai-ya', or something like that, which is not correct.
I've been saying Bangkok for 23 years and Thais when talking to each other will not call it Bangkok. And basically who cares, if I got in a taxi and said Pataya in Geordie I would get to petheya in Thailand.

Jail the man, fine the man, shoot the dog, I hope I got this in the right order. Local governer pays for full rehab of the girl until mental and physical scare are gone.

Jail him, fine him, shoot it and government pays compensation and full medical costs for the poor baby until scares are gone both physical and mental. Years of treatment for her unfortunately.
Known vicious breeds mandatory muzzles.
10k or a month, we're having a laff he will run off to the Wat & "wai aye" for a month and all will be we good.

Go to the immigration website (English) and it details exactly what paper work you need and the cost of a renewal and multi entry visa.

24 years using thialand as a base and 79yo, so far too late to up sticks and move somewhere else. So Thailand it is, just got to trim the budget.
Definitely NOT the the country of choice any more with prices on the rise, crime going crazy, formula 1 roads, exchange rates down 30% and price for medical treatment through the roof.
The poor Thais are struggling to live the median are up to there eyes in debt.
But ganga is going to save us all.

To me, they need some flashing lights at these crossings as drivers just don't stop for faded white strips. Failing to stop happens every where in Thailand, and the people or kids crossing are very scared as they don't know if they will make it or not.
They tried that in Hua Hin but many people just drive through the red light if it's clear on their side. Just been through it this afternoon and 6 young Thais crossing the road had a green light but had to wait on cars going through the lights on red. Thais thinks cars always have right of way. Same as the kamakasi roundabouts, you take your chance.

No surprise here. Let's get rid of the masks. If the authorities want to keep them, to make sure the fear and paranoia remain, let's just say NO! The lack of science in this debate, and situation is stunning.
It is really about keeping the people scared, at this time. Numbers continue to drop, standard cloth masks have limited effectiveness, wearing them outdoors is downright silly, and this ultra paranoid behavior has to stop. The government and goons like Anutin are largely responsible for an environment of fear at this stage of the game. This is about maintaining paranoia, control, and fear. After all, you would not want the people to get too comfortable. They might take to the streets again, and show their disdain for this thoroughly toxic, and nearly useless administration.
Questioning the narrative is essential to life, prosperity and well being. Being a lemming is not a desirable trait. We all know how minor the effect of a cloth mask is. Defy nonsense. Be disobedient. Defy stupidity and big brother's diabolical scare mongering nonsense, every chance you get.
If it's endemic gov stop paying. Not about anything else than saving money.

Thailand has strong fire-safety laws, so why do deadly nightclub blazes keep happening?

And insurance to cover any person setting foot in the building, then the owner would not need to offer a pitiful 25k for a dead person. Not necessary or mandatory for running a business in Thailand.
