The poor child. Neuter the dog, as should happen with all soi dogs, and he may not be aggressive anymore. I blame the dog owner and the cement company. They should remove the dogs, but I honestly don't know what should be done with them. The BMA caught and took away most soi dogs a few years ago. Sadly, they just dumped them in some huge outdoor pen somewhere upcountry and let them starve to death. And of course they horrifically began attacking and eating each other because they were starving. There has to be a more humane solution than that.
Round them up and send them to Lao. Happens all the time in uthan thani.

Thailand’s timing out on welcome tax
BANGKOK, 5 October 2021: The timing is out on Thailand’s announcement that it will impose an additional THB500 fee on foreigners entering the country sometime next year.
Someone has lost touch with the bellwether’s warning that travellers are fed up with the increased costs associated with a visit to Thailand. Yet it is about to add another cost, and it won’t go down well with leisure travellers keen to keep travel expenses down in the wake of Covid-19.
Thailand To Impose New Tourist Tax Next Year
The extra capital is also intended to help the country restructure its industry from mass tourism to a high-value economic model and environmentally concerned type of tourism. It’s also meant to help bankroll budget insurance offerings for foreign visitors and other development initiatives run by the government, rather than the private sector.

Of course they did, anything else would mean the lazy sods would have to do some work.
Just conduct an autopsy and it will show cause of death.

It seems Thailand didn't receive or somehow didn't understand their orders from on high? If you're going to truly "Build Back Better," as most politicians have proclaimed, you might want to consider building collaborative relationships and strengthening internal infrastructure. That means courting your own people with collaborative projects rather than constantly relying on outsiders to solve your financial problems. Just a thought.
I like the idea, rich Thais investing in the countries future. Wonder why someone in power has not thought of this before. Invest in Thailand or invest in china?? Mmmmmm???

REUTERS FILE PHOTO for reference only
Thailand’s health minister on Monday gave the strongest indication yet that expats residing in the country will be included in the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccination.
Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said that all residents in Thailand, including foreigners could even be given the vaccination free of charge.
“The 63 million doses of the vaccination are enough to cover the public, and it’s within our capacity to provide free vaccinations,” Anutin said.
“Our policy is to not leave anyone behind and we must inoculate anyone at risk of spreading the virus, not only Thais. So the vaccines will cover everyone that resides in Thailand.”
Anutin was speaking amid growing criticism regarding Thailand’s slow rollout of the vaccination.
And while the government has outlined the stages for which Thai nationals will receive the vaccination, information on if or when foreigners will be included in the rollout had not been forthcoming, until now.
Anutin said that 200,000 doses of the Chinese CoronaVac will arrive in Thailand later this month, followed by a supply of the AstraZeneca vaccine, Bangkok Biz News reported.
Thailand will then begin domestic production of 61 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Officials have indicated that production of the vaccine will begin around May or June.
By the end of April, a further 2 million doses of the Sinovac will arrive in Thailand, which will be given to those deemed most in need, such as front line health care workers and those with underlying health conditions.

Sensible decision, giving it to health workers first who are the highest risk of catching and spreading it, and people over 60 who are the highest risk of dying. I am happy to wait for my vaccine and have them vaccinated first.
It will upset the anti vaxxer, anti Chinese crowd on this forum but it is a huge positive step to getting back to normal.
I hope it is effective against the new UK highly infectious super covid mutant strain that has unfortunately now spread to Queensland and Perth in Australia.
If it is effective I can see this nightmare being over by the end of the year. The economy needs it.I just wanna go to the Moon

Surely Thailand has committed to building a new vaccine production facility, you know the one announced with big fanfare, "we are the big boys of SE Asia, and we will save you all". Other countries in the region were relying on Thailand to have this facility up and running this year as promised, but now Thailand is ordering 35 million doses from AZ instead of manufacturing them.
Steady on they have to go to the moon first.

How are they going to get here? Swim? Walk?
There will not be enough aircraft capacity to support such a figure.
Walk across the border like everyone else

Migrants are they legal or illegal? Thought we had closed the borders. Or is this needed cheap labour nudge nudge wink wink. Hope they are paying minimum wages and social insurance?

The same that is required everywhere else in Thailand. Go to the immigration website. It is well organised and informative.

Agree, 90 of my food is in our home. I worked out it's cheaper than going to hospital 2 times per year with acute food poisoning

I was a smoker for around 35 years, and quit just under three years ago.
Ban smoking in Condos? Hell yes!
Ten Reasons to Quit Smoking (in no special order)
- You won't smell anymore. Apologies, but there is no polite way to put it; smokers stink. They smell. They reek. Their breath smells like an ashtray. Their clothes are foul and gross. They leave a putrid miasma in every room they occupy.
- You will regain your sense of smell and taste. It is truly an amazing thing; I lived and/or visited Thailand for more than 25 years, but after I quit smoking, Thai food became twice as good. Seriously, twice as good!
- You won't look like a dried-up lizard. Smoking makes your face/skin look old; quitting smoking means putting 'lizard-ness' off for a decade or two.
- If you quit smoking, you don't have to listen to people like me, your spouse, your kids, your friends and complete strangers telling how smoking is bad for you. Wouldn't it be nice if we all shut up? If you didn't have to hear us?
- It is easier to pull/keep chicks. Simply put, it is easier to pull and/or keep a hot chick as a non-smoker rather than as a smoker. Nuff' said.
- You won't get sick as often. Yes, I know, perhaps smoking helps with c-19 and perhaps it doesn't. But, a non-smoker will catch fewer flus, colds, infections, etc. than a smoker; it is a scientific fact.
- You won't hurt those around you. Second-hand smoke kills about 50,000 people a year and damages the health of many, many, many more; don't you want to stop hurting your wife? Your kids? Your friends? Your neighbours? Strangers on the road?
- You'll have more breath. Smokers; when was the last time you climbed three flights of stairs without panting or wheezing? Without some shortness of breath? Without stopping for a sec to catch your breath at the top?
- Money. Cigarettes are expensive and you get nothing (literally nothing) for your money. One example; by quitting when I did, I saved approximately 190,000 Baht. What would you do with an extra 190,000 Baht? Whooo-Hoooo!
- Impotence. It is a medical fact that smoking reduces the lead in your pencil. Further, it is also medical fact that the more you smoke, the more the lead in your pencil is reduced. Simple question; what's better? Smoking or sex? If you chose sex (and you really should have), then it is time to quit.
And a bonus #11; you won't be an addict anymore. Being an addict, whether it is Nicotine, Yaba, Alcohol, Opioids, Meth, Heroin, Crack, or anything else, diminishes a person.
If you quit smoking, you'll be a better person to be around, your sensations and pleasures will improve, your health and appearance will be better, you'll do better with the girls, you'll have stamina again, you'll save huge amounts of money, and your sex life will improve.
If you keep smoking, your stink will drive people away, you won't enjoy food and drink as much, your health will decline, you will become 'Lizard-like', hot girls will laugh at you and throw rocks, you'll be awful in the sack, you'll be poorer and no woman will want you.
Ban smoking everywhere!
