Can't buy, can buy, can't but, can buy - this is Thailand - can always buy somewhere.

Seen a few of these around town, but you would need to be super hungry to order food from one. Health & cleanliness did not seem to be high on their list of regulations. Saw servers outside the truck smoking then going back in to carry on preparing and serving food - there was no washing of hands or gloves worn. The mind boggles at what other health issues are not being followed...

There is never any justified 'reason' for hitting students...with a stick, or anything else. Back in secondary school in England, I once cracked a joke in a music class and the teacher called me out. He had a reputation for hitting students on the hands with a gym shoe. As the shoe came down, I pulled my hand away and said, "Are you sure you want to do this? My dad will be here tomorrow." I was told to sit down...he never used the shoe again - in my time at the school anyway.

No sympathy from me for the two restaurant ladies mentioned...got no time for anyone who just tries to rip people off because they are not local (even if it it just a few baht). Some locals just don't get it...if they treat us fairly (as many do) they sure get a lot of custom. Popped down to Pattaya a couple of weeks ago and the same pint of beer was 100 baht more expensive than my regular pub in bangkok.

I am quite amazed that people do not check-up on their rented properties. I rented a house out a few years ago, but made a habit of calling in once a month to check on everything. Plus it was nice to get to know the tennants.

Pity the family and friends had not caught him first...he may not have made it to the police station.

I have read previously that the majority of tickets go unpaid anyway, so is all this going to help?

Had to laugh when I saw the headline...Bangkapi and 'resort' in the same sentence.

Most of the ambulances I have seen in recent weeks (quite a few I must say) have been so stuck in traffic, that if the rear doors did come open, the body would land on the car behind.

It is sad that places are having to close, and that people are losing their livlihoods...but, I have just arrived in Pattaya for a few days - and it is heaven. Maybe a bit selfish on my part, but this is what it is right now.

A good idea I suppose, but then they should think about training the other millions of drivers who have had no proper training.

Hard luck for him, but lucky in that he didn't cause anyone else injury or death.

See it almost everyday...one person driving the passenger in the front with the kid on the lap - no seat belt. Also, we get lots of weird looks from cab drivers as wifey and I get belted-in in the back of cabs.

There will be someone sitting behind a big desk doing okay out of this issue.

Let's just hope he doesn't drive it like that...

The unfortunate thing is, that many drivers are totally oblivious to what else is on the road or around them...and people still sit in the back of these vehicles.

Nausea...I think your problem is - you don't spend enough time in BKK. I have never had any throat or lung problem in almost 30 years here.

All the more reason to keep wearing your mask...as long as you have a good one, not the pieces of cloth I see being sold on many roads around town.

The 'new normal'...well living in bangkok - life is as life was. The only changes I have had to make is to wear a face mask and get temp checks on entering some places. Out yesterday in the mid-Sukhumvit road area - many more people not wearing masks these days, and not everywhere is checking temp when entering. I must admit that I did not like wearing a mask at first, but now it is an automatic action to put it on - just like you would a helmet to ride a motorcycle...but then...many <deleted> don't do that.

I used to ride motocycles all the time, and unless you are going like a bat out of hell, or just not looking...these things are spotable.

If he killed himself due to his own recklessnes...fair play. If he suffered some kind of medical issue...unfortunate. But he sure did a job on the car.
Run for health campaign proves fatal for two men
in Eastern Thailand

It sure is okay running for health, but one should still et a check-up before if you are not a regular runner...and even regular runners over a certain age. RIP these two and the other guy who also fainted in another run...and died.
