Just spent all day at MTT for a 60 day covid extension only to be hit the dreaded "come back on December 7" as was basically everyone else. Everyone who comes back will no doubt be stamped for 60 days but I need to ask what the hell is the point, why do they like to create additional work for themselves?

Go to immigration and have your stamp to the 22nd changed to November 30th. You should do it as soon as possible.
Then in November you will be able to a apply for a 60 day extension.
It’s free right ?

Hi I went last month and got stamped for a 30 Day extension until the 22nd of oct before the amnesty extension was announced, do I need To:
go get another stamp before or on the 22, or before the 31st, which is what I believe the amnesty was extended to?
- an extension that will roll over until November 31st and if so is it free? I thought I read something about Immigration honoring extensions to rollover for the next month
What action should I take? Do nothing, get a stamp on or before the 22nd, or the 31st? Tourist visa btw entered in late March. Working on the volunteer or education visa atm should I even consider this and are indefinite 30 day extensions a thing until the borders open or they declare amnesty has ended finally permanently?
thank you.

I was talking about the regular tourist visa extension that I have now used up, not the embassy letter extension.
Ok, oh. Can’t you get basically just get a medical unfit to fly medical letter instead which is almost the same thing though? I’m the from the United States and I was able to receive my embassy letter over email no reason needed, but if you really need to, you can get yourself a medical doctor letter and it acts as the same thing.
Does anyone know if these extensions are indeed unlimited?

Evidently that was an immigration official talking out his butt since both the US embassy and MTT told me there was no directive for what would happen after Sept 26.
No, there was an email with the word “unlimited extentions” which implied you could just keep renewing until they start allowing tourists in the old way and border runs were back to normal. If that’s the case then I can’t complain.

Is making posts like that your way of compensating for your smallness in other areas Mr Max69xl?
Anyway it's not just about the money but the fact that I wasted a lot of time and I won't be able to use that extension again.
I was under the impression that there are “unlimited” tourist visa extensions every 30 days until the borders are open or until further announcement.. you didn’t waste anything because you can go and get another one every month, I thought?

Are you suitably embarrassed by your blunder?
Did your pharmacy run out of your prescription again? Nothing official has been made, there is no “blunder” and it would make zero sense to extend the amnesty only 4 days at the last minute. Use your brain.

Official announcement where? Did you even read the article?

Hi,
im going to get the 30 day extension today with an embassy letter, how do I get this special tourist visa there? I read that it can be applied for an embassy.

You are too late to get an ed visa. That process takes at least 3 weeks. The deadline for most schools was late august.
Ok fine, but can I still get one? I can 30 days extensions for a long time until I get my education visa

Also, can I get an education visa without leaving the country? I will attend a language school no problem, not trying to cheat it at all.

You mean so people at the age of 48 encountering visa difficulties can pay 8334 baht per month to stay in Thailand, then when they turn 50 and having paid a total of 200,000 baht of the agreed 500,000 baht they stop paying and then apply for a retirement visa ?????
BTW: A long term Tourist Visa has just been approved by the cabinet (9 months I think).
Though I suspect one can only apply for this from outside of the country - it seems to be aimed at brining in tourists.
Note: If you are ‘in country’ I’m not sure you can switch from ‘whatever visa’ you are on to a Thai Elite Visa.
I am holding a Thai Elite Visa, but under the Emergency Decree could not enter on this and had to enter on a Non-Imm Type O visa which will expire in a month. I am unable to revert back to the Thai Elite Visa without leaving the country (obviously not an option) and thus will have to apply for the 12 month extension).
For whatever reasons - switching visa types within country cannot be done between ’some visas’ while for non-Immigrant visas it can.
Can you tell me more about this? If I’m already here, what can I do to receive such a visa? Is this only for tourists out of the country?

I want to get a 5 year visa but I don’t want to front the 15k USD all at once. Do they let you pay monthly? If not, do services exist that cover the cost and then you pay them monthly?

People from the west have been trained to think that ‘diversity’ is a good thing, when historically, homogenous nations have been the safest, and most successful places. Just look at Japan. It has a greater than 95% Japanese population and virtually has no crime at all. Sure, they’ve got other problems, but my point is: Every people has a right to their own lands. Thailand is for Thailanders. Common people have a stronger bond with each other.
So, as far as the outrageous and draconian rules regarding staying here, that is their right. Thais have a right to not want to have foreigners here. This is something Western nations can learn something from. Just look at the racial strife in America right now. Had America been a homogeneous nation and not a ‘melting pot’ mishmash mix of tons of cultures, things would never be this way. You call it xenophobia, I call it “every race has a right to their own lands.”
Similarly, If Thailand doesn’t want to welcome foreigners, they can. This idea that every country has to allow unlimited foreigners into their country and shift their demographics, is nonsense. You should be more appreciative that you are allowed to be here, period. Thailand is more evolved than the west in this regard because there is no one with ulterior motives forcing foreigners and ‘diversity’ down their throats, which isn’t a bad thing.
Homogenous nations are always better, safer, and more successful than non homogenous nations. Let Thailand make their own rules.

Just because. Took 3 minutes online to get one from the US Embassy. No reason required. Don't think too much and go get yourself one. I got one the day they started being issued and no explanation was required. If you don't feel comfortable with it, that's up to you. Go fly back.
Can you help me with this? I’m from the USA and I need that letter to. How to get it? Got a link?

I can’t stop relapsing. I’m going to attempt the Sinclair Method soon. I’m tired of waking up feeling like <deleted> every single day. Ugh, this sucks so much.

Update: I’m doing fine now, practically no drinking for at least 7 days. Just had some soju and a beer with my girlfriend 2 days ago but since then no real desire to drink because I realize how terrible it was making everything. No physical dependency, it’s all mental here, and I’ll probably be able to stop or heavily cut back to maybe once a week. The 3-day hangovers and sleeplessness aren’t worth it.

you can buy it legally at bkk shop.
what the hell are you talking about? You can’t buy weed here legally, least of all for foreigners. Not even allowed for foreigners medicinally.

And that’s the worst part. When the care stops. When you just don’t give a <deleted> anymore... like you could just die tomorrow, and that seems like it would be ok with you...
I need help, but I can’t do it on my own. I’m not strong enough. I was sober for 44 days - and then suddenly, relapsed. A bottle of rum. Every night. Fighting with my girlfriend. Passed out on the Sofa. Late on my bills. Nothing else mattered. Except alcohol.
if you told me 4 years ago that I would become a slave to alcohol, I would have laughed in your face. But, things happen, and here I am, sharing one of my darkest demons on a forum of strangers.
I haven’t had a bath in ten days. I live like a caveman. I told my friend what I’m going through, and he said “I know that you’re going to Heaven, because now, you’re spending your time in Hell.”

Lmao, even if your qualification is a photoshop editor, you need to go through a basic training course where you’re going to experience bad things, one of which is being in a crowded room and breathe in riot-control substances like pepper spray and gas grenade fumes.
I never claimed to be a badass spec ops, I’m just saying that a bit of sanitizer in the eyeball is nothing to cry about it. It’s no worse than a squirt of lemon.
-
Oh for God’s sake, what a little baby! I’ve been pepper sprayed and CS Gas’d as part of my military training, getting some sanitizer in the eye is NOTHING. She’s being dramatic, it maybe stings for a moment and then evaporates. It’s like getting some citrus in your eye, it stings for a moment and then it’s gone.

No chance. The reason why white guys like Asian women so much and vice versa, is because opposites attract. You don’t see many farrangs retiring / vacationing in the Middle East but you see plenty of them in Asia. Wonder why that is?
Asian women are generally thin, submissive, feminine, and genuinely appreciative of good guys, not piece of <deleted> bad boys covered in tattoos. I swear to god, every single one of my Sister’s friends (we are from California) has at least one or more tattoos, I really don’t understand their obsession with tattoos.

Sounds like the old farts are on here scared as hell of it since they’ve already got one foot inside death’s door anyway with their drinking and smoking and choking down food.
