  1. It is true, the value of money has inflated. Having million dollars or euros now is not the same as in the 1980s. Besides it is not like that money is usually directly available in one's bank account but in assets like property and stocks.
  2. I agree with you but Israel does not have the highest percentage of vaccinated people, not even close.
  3. Of course, that could mean almost anything when the Schengen borders are not fully open. Also it could be in some cases reciprocal if other countries are limiting access into them. Most importantly however you can enter if you have received a full course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine no matter what country you are coming from.
  4. https://valtioneuvosto.fi/en/entry-restrictions This seems to be the norm now among the Nordic countries although I haven't studied every case in detail.
  5. What countries require that from vaccinated people? UK, China and a few more? My country will let anyone in without a quarantine and tests (provided they have a valid visa if that applies) if a person is fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine. I stopped reading here. They just don't understand that genuine tourists won't be jumping over all their hurdles.
  6. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-58394898 https://news.sky.com/story/ryanair-sees-passenger-numbers-recover-to-three-quarters-of-pre-pandemic-level-12397290 I think we can stop worrying about people being too scared to fly for the tourism sector to recover as long as there are not too many restrictions set by governments.
  7. I deal with enough people both in real life and online to know that what you say is well in tune with what they desire. The most vocal pessimists have often isolated themselves maybe too much and so focused on covid that they have become myopic and haven't been able to notice that the world around them is starting to move forward again. According to reports for example the European tourist destinations have been packed this summer, and not only of domestic visitors unlike a year ago.
  8. Not everyone has friends and family, but ok, no one outside the circle of their loved ones.
  9. Millions and millions of people die of different reasons not related to covid every year and no one bats an eyelid. Sure, if some people want to stay home waiting for 110% of the world population to receive 10 vaccines against covid they are free to do so but just don't expect everyone else to put their lives on hold indefinitely. Children won't need mass vaccinations as far as I can tell based on various experts, or at least it certainly won't happen anyway for various reasons, not for many years at least. It is not the fear of disease that is keeping people off traveling but the restrictions and inconvenience. Without them I would live my life as normally as ever and I see many many people feel the same.
  10. Not everyone is so scared of the virus that they can't leave their house even after getting vaccinated but it is inconvenient and difficult to travel which is putting off many people.
