I'm posting a very good song, recent, that most might never hear. One of the best guitar players alive or otherwise, and good lyrics. I don't consider any song the best, but this recent one shows what's still being made............ . -
Best Song of Past 100 Years? Your Vote?

One fact that will always stand is that how many people like a certain song means little of how good it is. A lot of people like to dance, and the beat means more than anything else. Look at Disco. Soulless pap for the most part but some of the best music to dance to because of that beat. The same with most pop music now. It attracts for the most part pre-teens and teens. They like the shows they put on, but it doesn't come near matching the musicianship of most progressive rock bands. There are many excellent bands worldwide that most will never hear because of the money involved, and the shows. -

Actually all good music is timeless. Good music meaning good lyrics and musicianship. People actually playing instruments. I lived through the best times music will ever know, those 50's through the 80's, and also some very good from the 80's to now is still being made. -

Good music is timeless, which much music isn't. There are still bands bringing good music out these days, although it's hard to beat the music us old timers grew up with from the 50's to the 80's. Yes, there is no such thing as a best song. There are quite a few that will be at the top, and much of what one sees on music charts these days doesn't cut it. I could name hundreds of songs that are up at the top, although some might not be that into music to know them. Only a couple mentioned here fill that bill. -

Kath was a very good rock guitarist. Too bad he left us so young. Knopfler is about the best all round I've ever seen, along with Bonamassa as far as emotional playing. Check out Knopfler's solo work. -

Frampton is an okay guitarist but Gilmour is more talented. Someone above them is Mark Knopfler. -
What do they have to defend themselves? There are guns in every country, legal or not, and in the ones where you can't own them, others still have them illegally.

Intentional homicide rate is higher here, as is the murder rate., and it will keep rising. School shootings don't happen much here, but they exist.

It's already there.

No, and if you'll notice, there are many school buses, overcrowded, with up to 12 kids sitting on the TOP of the bus. If they cared, this wouldn't happen. Schools start and stop at certain times, and there are plenty of policemen in this country to take 30 minutes twice a day to monitor school crossings so the children are safely across. Enforcing laws , including speeding and using a phone in school areas, saves lives every year in the US. I do see some police at certain schools watching crossings, so it does happen, but it should be everywhere. Spending more money protecting their children instead of on military equipment they don't need is a start.

I'm always one for doing whatever you can to try and make a relationship work, especially involving children, but I've had my share of women who just weren't right and this I actually saw close to the beginning but didn't listen to my heart because of attraction. What Richard and Britman said are truths. Depression makes people isolate, and her thinking Thailand will help is just because it's more familiar to her, even though you can't escape depression problems. Her not wanting to socialize with your family is a red flag not to be ignored. She's your wife, and should take an active interest in your family. The same goes for you if she had any there. Is she on her phone a lot? She might be corresponding with another man back in Thailand, especially one she may have known before. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but we've all been there, and there's only one way out if that's the case. Let her go. What you need to do now is sit down and talk with her, asking her questions about why she's been acting this way. Let her do the talking. It might be menopause, especially if she's at that age, and you can google information about this online for what to expect, but with menopause you usually get happiness mixed with anger, along with these........... Common symptoms of the menopause include: anxiety changes in mood – such as low mood or irritability changes in skin conditions, including dryness or increase in oiliness and onset of adult acne difficulty sleeping – this may make you feel tired and irritable during the day discomfort during sex feelings of loss of self hair loss or thinning headaches or migraines hot flushes – short, sudden feelings of heat, usually in the face, neck and chest, which can make your skin red and sweaty increase in facial hair joint stiffness, aches and pains loss of self-confidence night sweats – hot flushes that occur at night palpitations – heartbeats that suddenly become more noticeable problems with memory, concentration and ‘brain fog’ recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), such as cystitis urge and stress incontinence reduced sex drive (libido) tinnitus vaginal dryness and pain....................................Not wanting you to go with her to Thailand is a huge red flag, as that's not about her missing Thailand and friends. She surely might be bored with the UK, but if she was really into the relationship, she would be talking to you, asking you to do more things with her. Traveling, dining out, movies, concerts etc. Her eating Thai food daily is good, but saying it's not the same is an excuse. Any Thai woman who knows how to cook can create the same recipes exactly anywhere in the world as all the ingredients are available. The weather in the UK isn't the greatest as I've seen many attest, so that's where traveling comes into play. Thailand isn't great either, unless heat and humidity is your thing, along with raining half the year. One's just as bad as the other, besides the fact warmer weather is easier to get used to. Since you have no children, it's much easier to just let her go and not waste any more time with the wrong person. Again, if you can work things out, that's the best approach, but if you can't, letting her go and finding another one is a better future plan.

Your Girlfriend's Average Sandwich Quota

Would you rest easier if I had said sweetened condensed milk? Or milk "product", seeing it has only 2 ingredients, milk and sugar ? It's still condensed milk to I and most of the rest of the world. I used to drink unsweetened condensed milk when I was young, but I can't remember the brand name. I did drink carnation, as well as cook with it, and it's the same thing sold and used here. A play on words doesn't detract from everyone looking at it as condensed milk. I'm not sure if they sell evaporated milk, as in dried powder, although someone said they did, in Thailand. This is from Wiki.....................Condensed milk is cow's milk from which water has been removed (roughly 60% of it). It is most often found with sugar added, in the form of sweetened condensed milk, to the extent that the terms "condensed milk" and "sweetened condensed milk" are often used interchangeably today.[1] Sweetened condensed milk is a very thick, sweet product, which when canned can last for years without refrigeration if not opened. The product is used in numerous dessert dishes in many countries.[2] -

Actually I've been right all along. If you'd like, I can go to the nearest coffee shop, 6 kilos away, and take a picture of the Carnation condensed milk they use. It's the same as all the links and pictures we've shown here. You can't say someone is wrong when they're showing proof. What are these pictures and links of if it isn't carnation condensed milk? This from Villa in Thailand....https://shop.villamarket.com/product/5400?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_IOs3pLHiAMVz6RmAh1eNCNjEAQYAiABEgKVsfD_BwE -

This is your original statement...........They don't have condensed milk in Thailand. I and Richard showed that they do indeed sell Carnation condensed milk in Thailand, at at least 4 places, and I saw it at coffee shops as soon as I moved here. No one said it was a Thai product, but it is sold here. -

You said no one has produced a link showing condensed milk sold in Thailand. I showed 2 and Richard the header for many stores. Carnation evaporated milk is condensed milk. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere? -

I just made it easier to end a fruitless argument. I know many here don't know what Thailand has or doesn't have, including myself. When I saw Carnation after I moved here I was thinking at least they have some foreign food. -

Most of the coffee shops have Carnation condensed and this is what they use for sweetener besides sugar syrup and the rare one that carries Equal. -

No one here I know knows what a sandwich here is besides my girlfriend who I made some for. That's one thing I really miss from the US. Sandwich places in every town and some top of the line. Especially a Jewish deli like GG mentioned. Hard to beat. Quizno's chain is a good one. Subway kinda generic but okay if you add things. NY style pizza, deli sandwiches, Texas BBQ, sourdough pretzels and others are things I'll be looking for come November, and a lot I'll be bringing back when I return. -
Teenager injured in Pattaya youth clash, mother demands police action
fredwiggy replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
One thing that seems constant in all the stories like this I've read about for over 6 years, is the mother doing the police reports, or sometimes grandma. I rarely if ever remember hearing that a fathers involved, and this is always the result. Boys growing up with either no dad around, an abusive one, or one that doesn't bother to teach respect for life, and what you hear is one stabbing another, knives and machetes worn here like a part of the outfit they put on before leaving the house. No discipline, especially from a court system that allows those under a certain age not to be charged. -
I was just asking out of curiosity. A lot blame the shots and I had symptoms and didn't know without testing if it was the vaccine, Covid or just a seasonal thing or allergies. When I was found positive, I had the regular symptoms of cough, sore throat and congestion, but I also got these from allergies so you never know exactly what causes things unless it came on, you were tested, and don't have allergies or a simple cold. I'm 68 now, and in good health but with Covid I didn't want to take any chances because of all the healthy people I saw dying or getting real sick, so I went for the vaccines. If they've done any damage I don't know.
