Western men average a bit taller than Thai males, but there are plenty of Thai males that are equal to the western average of 5'8"-5'10". We are certainly bigger, but most of that is from fat (not me lol), and Thais, although usually on the thin side, are not carrying that layer of fat like most western males are. Attraction means just that. Some women like fat males, but most like a muscular man, like a swimmers body. As far as handsome, although I see most Asians looking quite similar in features, there are handsome males in every country, and no country has the top position on this. Western men usually have more money, especially if you leave out the hi-so's that don't work but cheat their way through life by moving money around, are involved in illegal activities,destroy the planet by development, are into corruption or other things not so positive, and having more money is attractive to Thai women, especially if they are poor, but if they are independent, they usually prefer their own, meaning other Thais. Thai women that are the regular everyday type, meaning they work average jobs, live at home, have a kid(s), are single because of being aware of how locals treat women here, live in the country,etc, will look at western men because they see how their peers have been treated by the average Thai male, which isn't too swift. I'm leaving out farmers because farmers that are with farmers are usually okay with their lifestyle if that's all they want. Buddhism looks at women as inferior, and that translates to treating women as secondary, a somewhat slaves, to clean, cook, take care of the kids and give them sex. If the man is loyal, they'll be okay with this, but as happens so much here, where the males leave after sex, and especially after a baby is born, a lot are tired of living this way, and seeing their peers doing the same, they hear that a western man will treat them better, which is usually true but not always, because there are some bad men everywhere. Some Thai men might not like to see us with their women, especially the prettier ones, but that's plain insecurity, and isn't just a Thai thing. Men here are promiscuous because the court system lets them get way with not paying child support, although it is supposed to be added when a child is born. Thai men usually won't go with a Thai women after they've had kids with anyone, western or not, unless they can get sex, because they don't care, knowing they'll be gone soon anyway.

That's skinny. There is no "normal". Everyone has preferences. A woman doesn't have to be muscular but curves, meaning a shapely woman, is a sexier, mature look, and not a thin, bony girl who's never exercised. This girl is attractive, although I prefer a woman with more "meat", but if she doesn't get into resistance exercise eventually, she will lose whatever muscle she does have, which isn't much, and either gain fat, which will make her look worse, or get thinner, which won't be good for her health and a bony woman is not attractive.

Although attractive, she's still skinny, and when she gets older, she will either put on weight and look better,especially if she exercises, or lose weight and look worse.

And looked down on from prejudice and jealousy, one of the main reasons I'm moving myself and my daughter from here. Girls do not do well here, and part of that is from the Buddhist belief that women are inferior. They aren't, and those that think they are, are inferior.

Weight training makes muscles harder. Fat over the top of muscles can always be lost, but if you don't train with resistance of some kind you won't have a good shape, or maintain it. In the gyms for 50 years, I see most of the people that go are overweight, which is why they are there, but many if not most don't realize what you look like is 75% diet and 25% training. Staying out of the sun is mandatory if you want to look younger longer. Here, they are in the sun all their lives if they are rural, and that makes the skin look old. My ex's mom is a few months younger than I am, but looks 20 years older because of that, along with a diet too high in rice, which doesn't help her diabetes.

I have been saying that all along. I said things are getting worse here, and they have been for years. It has nothing to do with being in the gym business as I see women every day, for 62 years in the US, and here for over 6. Women here after 50 look older than women over 50 in the US. They weigh less, but look older. I mentioned reasons for this. Women on average are slimmer here, for now.

40 kilos is tiny, and anorexic looking. A normal women above 5'2" should weigh from 110-120 lbs . We aren't talking about teenagers here but mature women in the 25 and above range. Meaning 50 kg is normal.

I've been in the gym business for over 50 years, training and training others, and have seen what's in and out of the gyms all that time, and know all about obesity percentages worldwide. It's like I said. Things have been changing here for the worse for decades, and obesity here will rival a lot of western countries for those reasons I made. The average Thai woman might be, for now, a tad smaller than western women, but it's changing . The only reason more aren't fat here is the lack of money for good food, but as that increases, so will the dress sizes. There are many more farmers here than in western countries, which mean more are doing daily farm work with that less food intake. I observe because that's my thing, being in shape, and it's what I've been seeing since I've been here. Most Thais are gaining weight, especially after their young bodies begin to age. The same things happen in the west, but again, more gym memberships, more money and more knowledge of diet gives them a better chance of staying thinner. This means things here are approaching what's wrong back home, and will continue indefinitely. People love to eat, but most do not know or care what they are eating and how it affects their bodies. The longer I live here, the more fat women and men I see, especially after 50 but even younger, because most people again, do not know or care about what they are eating. I lived in the US 62 years, and daily saw women in the 50's that still look good. Of course more were fat. Women aren't looking like men because they get fatter. They just look like fatter women. Thai women age rapidly after 50, much more than western women because of the sun and harder lives here. Western women have to their advantage more knowledge of skin care products and are more likely to use them at that age than those after 50 here. Yes, more Thai women are slimmer . for now, than western women, but again, that's changing daily.

These are all personal opinions, like I made when I talked about their eyes, brown skin and good cooks. There are millions of western women over 50 that still look great and take care of themselves and actually a larger percentage will do what it takes to take care of themselves than Thais will, as gyms are a lot more prevalent there than here, and Thais are less likely to go to them over 50. Obesity is larger, for now, than Thailand but it's slowly creeping up because of the influx of western food here, the propensity for eating too much rice and nothing to do after they reach 50 because farm work gets harder as you age. Wrinkles might happen in western world more, but here it's skin turning browner and dried out because of too much sun exposure. Before I moved here, and a little afterwards, I thought there were a lot more thin, beautiful women here but after being here 6 years, I see more of the opposite than I do the beautiful because I'm more exposed to village life than before. And like said, obesity is increasing yearly, and sooner than you think, it will come closer to western because of the lack of people going to gyms, more likely to just sit around because farm work isn't as easy when you get older, and again, the rice, every meal, every day, which has to be burned off before stored body fat is in order to stay lean. When Thai women hit 50, they lose it fast. Not all, most, the same as western women, but western women are more likely to again, hit the gym and know more about diet than here.

Many make decisions based on very little information or personal experience. All races have beautiful, fat, small, huge, disproportionate, bald, beautiful and ugly women. Just like some thinking all Americans carry guns and all Brits and Irish are fall down drunks, Blacks are all big down below, all Mexicans cheat, all Muslims beat their wives, and other generalizations based on little experience.

Asian eyes, brown skin, love the way they speak English (accented), more likely to give you a massage, good cooks (if taught by mom).

Only thing anyone has is faith. Faith there's a heaven waiting for believers, and maybe something not so good for those that don't. Enlightenment may not be all it's cracked up to be.

They told me I couldn't have a credit card, and when I tried to get the APP, just to use my account, it didn't work two times, and they couldn't explain how. I think it was a matter of them not knowing I could have both, but didn't understand their jobs fully. My branch has a few ladies working there, and one, the manager, you could tell she didn't like foreigners just from her attitude, while the others are always cordial to me. When you're dealing with people, what they bring into their jobs could be prejudice, hatred, a bad mood because their husband was bad to them or just a bad hair day. The same with all officials that have your business in their hands. One will allow something, while the next will say no. I have friends who have other banks, and they have credit cards and the APP. My girlfriend has an APP for her bank, and she doesn't have much of a savings in it. I got Bangkok Bank when I moved here, as I was married back then, and I think I couldn't get a credit card back then because they knew if anything happened to me, my wife could drain the account, so they said I couldn't have a card. I've since opened another account at the same branch, but the APP never worked and I still couldn't get a credit card. they never said anything about a secured card, just that I couldn't get one. Politics or ignorance.

Another life, this one worth $326 USD. Last week one died for 20 baht. All throughout my life here, people are killed, daily, over little to nothing. The jails kept full of those thinking another's life was meaningless. Reason number 43 why I will move, with my daughter, back home as soon as possible. Hopefully something will be done soon, to teach some here that life is precious, that you only get once chance, and you're not coming back if you fail at this one.

My APP never worked, along with them not allowing me to have a credit card since I get my SS transfers from the US.

Almost every time I go to Lotus or another grocery store. people in vehicles will not allow me, the pedestrian, right of way. This is a law back home, and you will be ticketed, yet that will never happen here, because of the lack of concern for others I see daily. I get cut off on the road all the time, and I've had many people pass me on the right, when I was on the right lane, going over the speed limit by a bit. They would rather head into oncoming traffic, risking not only their life but others coming in the other direction, than go around me in the left lane. Thinking they own the road, and I must move out of their way. I come from New Jersey, home of the defensive drivers, and you don't see this behavior anywhere near as much as I do here. I've had people in cars come within inches of me a few times while I was driving a scooter in the scooter lane, going way over the speed limit. It's like you aren't there. This is yet another reason I will leave here with my daughter way before she's allowed to be on the road driving.

I just pointed out that most accidents, usually around 85%, involve bikes, and the reasons why so many die daily, have been, and will continue to, until laws are enforced. There are many that die in single bike collisions, where drinking, speed and incompetency factor in. Most of which involve not wearing helmets.
