No
You have to apply at the designated embassy for where you are located.
looks like i have misconstrued the use of the Thailand MFA online evisa website if it is inapplicable when one is not physically in country of residence. ie OP cannot apply for said online evisa when he is not in UK (what about Thailand Pass?).................not the first time i have misconstrued thai immigration.
maybe visa exempt + extension better option for me.

You have to apply to the Thai embassy in the country where you are at.
hi joe,
OP being from an eligible evisa country (UK) can't the SETV be applied online without the need to attend the thai embassy where one happens to be?
this SETV online evisa is more onerous then the attend in person mode.
i'm a perth oz resident which is not an eligible online evisa country so i have to post application/passport/etc to canberra or sydney but am waiting for oz online evisa eligibility status.
have heard more countries to be added in november

check out UK embassy website and or Nepal embassy
google SETV requirements from Visa Agent websites
hopefully somebody with SETV experience will post
if still unsure pm me for my untried suggestions

Did you tick the box "I hereby acknowledge that I have read etc"
It's a bit faint.
Then "CONFIRM"
you are not wrong, i have since detected the faint outline of a click box. got registration midday 5/11 uploaded the oz Vaccination QR Code and hoping for QR Pass today or sometime this week. my google and internet explorer browsers had issues but microsoft edge sailed thru.

Does your hotel booking include the PCR test and Transport from the Airport to the hotel ?
Sunshine Hip Hotel in Pattaya is also a registered AQ hotel (thus - when applying use the AQ option not SHA+) it should be including the PCR test and Airport Transfer in the booking.
Thus: just use the Booking Reference number the hotel provides with the booking conformation and submit a JPEG of the booking conformation as reference (no need for SHABA cert).
You have plenty of time...
TP already applied for via SHA option. uploaded hotel booking confirmation states 1 night quarantine package including airport pickup and hotel covid pcr test. i have plenty of time if TP rego system doesn't get any worse. interesting to see whether the booking reference is the SHABA ID.

Is your hotel in Bangkok or Phuket ?
In genreal:
SHA+ hotels are in Phuket - a PSAS Booking is also for PCR tests (on arrival).
AQ Hotels are in Bangkok - The PCR test is included in the package (AQ hotels are partnered with hospitals).
IF you have submitted your Thailand Pass application and have received an e-mail verification then you are simply waiting for approval from Thailand Pass. This has nothing to do with the hotel.
The ‘other’ thread highlights how the Thailand Pass system has been extremely buggy and problematic since roll out. IF you are not travelling for another few weeks there is plenty of time to receive the approval.
As per the OP: the SHABA code from the hotel is needed to submit the PSAS PCR test booking so that he can submit his application for the Thailand Pass.
The hotel have to ‘apply for the SHABA Certificate (its an online system I think) - but it shouldn’t take more than 24 hours - Hopefully the OP will get his certificate today.
IF he is not travelling for another few weeks there is plenty of time (I know this plays on peoples minds - but its the nature of the beast at the moment).
my hotel booking is 1/12/21 with sunshine hip hotel in pattaya (SHA+) such accreditation is pursuant to Thailand Pass requirements. given that the hotel never provided me with a SHABA ID am i to assume that the booking number is the SHABA ID (via online system)? if not and i get rejected will have to start again when i'm provided with a SHABA ID.
-
i have same concern - no SHABA ID as per example on thaiest site. can anyone confirm whether it is required for Thailand Pass? l have SHA hotel booking confirmation stating 1 night quarantine package confirming airport pickup and PCR test which i have already uploaded to Thailand Pass registration and now waiting for the TP QR CODE. i have emailed hotel as to their processes re this matter but no response as yet.

I found the two main issues when applying for the Thai Pass.
One, convert your doc, s to jpeg. Do not send pdf.
Two, Do not use Hotmail. Use g mail.
Once I did that. Got the pass in two hours.
Hope this helps..
on test run my google browser mode had issue, so tried internet explorer mode - no such issue - but next day when i had all my info, internet explorer mode raised some other issue. i then tried microsoft edge successfully. now i'm concerned that because the SHA Plus logo didn't appear on my print out of sunshine hip hotel booking confirmation i won't be granted TP QR Code. will find out "within 7 days".

Hopefully the failure of this mess will make them think again about all this tripe and come up with something sensible.
unfortunately this guys "observations" speaks volumes as to why they will not come up with something sensible. same, same conceited facesaving nonsense.

I was with you until you threw in the insurance or adequate finances! Have you ever planned a trip long or short vacation to an destination that required those items?
nearly always on my trips to thailand over 15 years pre covid - insurance and adequate finances. one year spent 10 days in bangkok pattaya hospital and was covered but i'll throw it out to keep your support as a couple of others apparently prefer the COE/TP requirements to mine LOL.

And they verify that how? do you wait in line at the airport while they try to verify your documents? or do they just take your word on it?
But I agree, they should have beta tested the Thai Pass website and app, before they introduced it to prime time.
IMHO i was thinking verification would be presenting hard copy of those few documents that i have mentioned together with the accepted pre covid documentation. not much more than normal arrivals/departures.
PS. QR coded vax certificate shouldn't need further verification.

As expected! ZZZZZZZ
And someone actually got paid to come up with this stuff! no doubt created by a Thai who is still on Thai time! As I said if I leave Thailand for a short planned trip with a specific date to return and they say Thailand Pass will get back to you in 2-3 days as long as I got to deal with this type of nonsense I will sit still until everything is drop and I highly suggest everyone don't travel to Thailand then only then they might finally get a hint but that would only be dreaming with these leaders!????
children trying to do adults work. they should toss in the towel no COE/Thailand Pass and only require double vax, negative covid test prior arrival and insurance or adequate finance in addition to pre covid requirements.

Just upload tgia in the first instance (keep things simple and try not to confuse them).
it might be ok for the online registration but when assessed by a "person" maybe the lack of general health cover will be noticed and QR pass not given stuffing up ticket, sha etc. .
-
will having two insurance policies (oz allianz general health AND tgia covid19 - cos of age 81) be a problem when there is only one box to input policy numbers. ie will it accept two policy numbers in the one box. just checking before taking the plunge in about two weeks for about 1/12/21 arrival.

The OP says you need travel medical insurance. However, the attachment they provided just states a requirement for "covid insurance". These two are not the same thing. Can anyone clarify what you need exactly?
Of course, to be on the safe side one would just get travel medical that includes covid. I just want to understand the exact requirements.
the thailand pass insurance issue has not always been precisely presented. however, there is a reference in todays thaiger news stating other medical insurance is required in addition to covid 19. this is consistent with 2 articles in yesterdays bangkok post

yeah ,thats why i am so interested in this thailand pass insurance requirement. my pensioner mate is nearly 82, been stranded in oz away from his pattaya condo for the last 18 months. his o retirement visa/extension lapsed in march 2021.

So forget about TGIA -- It just means that, if you have a general medical policy that covers Thailand for $50K+ coverage, the policy has to have verbiage INDICATING covid coverage similar to this letter from AXA:
yeah thats the one i will be using for my thailand pass. period of cover (and cost) depending on if i go tr60 or visa exempt.

"All travelers are required to purchase valid travel insurance that covers medical expenses including COVID-19 treatments of up to 50,000 U.S. dollars. The previous coverage required was 100,000 U.S. dollars."
This seems to imply that a COVID only policy - such as shown on https://covid19.tgia.org/
is not allowed. Is that correct?
correct. see todays bangkok post for further reference, even last weeks quoting the gov't senior spokeswoman.

i have a booking with SHA+ hotel in pattaya as previously posted. however when i did a print of the booking confirmation the SHA+ logo was inadvertantly cropped out and uploaded to Thailand Pass application. Registration was 5/12 with no further response to date. i am concerned that as such a Thailand Pass QR Code will not be granted.
