  1. Whatever anyone wants to believe was the cause, whether justified or corrupt, if a police officer draws his gun, the reasonable response is to stop and put your hands up.

Just give up, pay the fine, and make your apologies so the cops will regain "face" then move on.

The only smart thing I saw was when the second brother (they're both surnamed Day), unloaded the pistol and threw it down.  Don't give cops a reason to shoot you.

  2. If the first doc said you have sprained muscles, then start from there.

Just throwing a ball, the motion isn't as injurious compared to a fall, or some sort of impact injury.

If it's just a sprain, you are likely dealing with an inflammation of the shoulder joint area.  If this is all, a couple of cortisone injections might be all that you need.

  3. Get the MRI.  It will give you an omnidirectional view of what's wrong, a d you can view it as a video or as individual pics.  The ortho putting your knee back together will know exactly what's wrong and what needs to be done.

An ultrasound won't give you anything close to what an MRI will pick up.  And, depending on the angle, might even miss things.

  4. Not my business what y'all eat, but I am mystified how some of you can manage to not eat Thai food ever.

Is this true for all Asian foods?  Other SE Asian cuisines or Chinese/Korean/Japanese food?  Hong Kong style?

I couldn't survive without a good mix of Asian & Western cuisines.

  5. Air purifiers are nothing more than a fan with fancy electronics.

It is the HEPA & charcoal filter that does all the work.

The 2 things you need to consider is:

    1. The total area you want to purify, and buy a purifier rated for greater than this; and

    2. Availability and cost of replacement filters.  It's the HEPA filters that will cost more than the purifier over the lifetime of operation.

Tip.  You can vacuum the outer charcoal filter to remove accumulated junk and extend its life, but when the HEPA is full, you need to replace it.

Really, how will it be proven?

It will be a case of he said, she said.

If you weren't aware that verbal agreements are enforceable, you should speak to an attorney.

As for this situation, since the renter continued to pay rent and live in the rental after the original expiration of the lease, it is entirely reasonable that both parties had verbally agreed to extend the lease by another year.

If the renter breaks this agreement, then the deposit will be kept by the landlord as Liquidated Damages.

  7. Verbal agreements are legally binding, especially since you don't have anything written.

And since you are breaking this agreement, the landlord can keep your deposit as Liquidated Damages.  This is kept in lieu of other legal mechanisms such as using the courts to force you to comply with your one-year verbal contract.

Just walk away.  You broke an agreement and expect the Landlord to be happy about it.
