  1. Maybe he crawled into a hole somewhere to bleed-out and remove himself from being stain on society. Or more likely, it was a superficial wound that was "self repairable". He's likely used to treating knife wounds. That really is not a lot of blood, especially since his heart is pumping from a fight. If a stab made it to his heart, liver, even lung, likely would have collapsed rather quickly.
  2. Really? Perhaps you should review the dissolution of democratic rights rights in the EU. Simply expressing disagreement with the govt can now earn jailtime and national censorship. Or you don't think what's happening in the UK, Germany, and France counts? And you aren't aware of how democracy is alive in the US? Didn't Trump just get (re)elected and sworn-in as President "47?
  3. Hey, when the Viagra kicks-in, you use it while you've got it!
  4. You are soooo wrong. Here are some facts about the effects of THC: First of all, THC causes paranoia. Paranoia= psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution, irrational distrust, impairment, insanity, and homicidal tendency. When ISIS and other terrorist groups go on a massacre or suicide bombing, they first get wasted on hashish to create the "mood". In fact, the word "assassin" comes from Hassasin, smokers of hashish. They were the original cult of killers out of Persia who regularly used murder as their primary political tool against Arabs, Turks, and Christians.
  5. Yeah, I can see that happening. We've got idiots negligently shooting themselves on livestreams in the US nowadays, so I have no doubt morons in Thailand are capable of similar stupidity.
  6. This story smells. Nobody, not even a Brit, would play "solo" Russian Roulette, especially by pointing it at his own forehead where he can see into at least 4 of the revolver's chambers to scan if they're empty. Either it was a really, really incorrect attempt at suicide, or more likely, attempted murder by the Lithuanian or someone else. I'm glad to read in this article that the police will be checking the roommate to look for gunshot residue.
  7. It is. Probably ethnic Chinese refugee ejected from Vietnam during the "Boat People" crisis and settled in Kowloon. And those tats makes him a Japanese Yakuza enforcer, probably at war with the Hong Kong Triads. Do the Thais only know "mafia" for every criminal?
  8. No sponge, make him clean all of the paint off using only his face.
  9. 30 is really late to start as a Muay Thai boxer. He never had a chance for his system to toughen up like a lifetime of training would have. A kick to the right could have damaged or outright stopped his liver. If that shuts down from trauma, he'd never recover. A shame.
  10. I've spent considerable time in Cambodia starting from my NGO work in the early 2000's. The reason why Cambodians may speak "better" English is because they had to start from scratch after the Khmer Rouge were defeated, and everyone was motivated about education and re-joining the world. You will also note that Cambodians will speak "better" Chinese and Japanese.
  11. Some of you guys will put your willies into anything!
  12. Former? I'd say that Yamaguchi is still Yakuza.
  13. He bit a woman on the lip? That's aggravated assault, or even sexual assault. I don't know Thai criminal law, but there must be some equivalency for these attacks.
  14. No biggie. These tourists are a blight anywhere they visit because of their behavior. And they barely spend any money outside of their tour packages and linked shopping trips. Good riddance! Besides, if all those gambling centers do get built, tens of millions of new Chinese will visit, and actually be willing to drop tens of billions of baht at the tables. And they won't even leave the casinos, preferring to sleep at their casino hotel rooms, and eat at the casino's Chinese restaurants. The only time they'll go outside is to get in a taxi for the airport back to China.
  15. Wonderful. Instead of one, Thailand wants four separate Casino complexes at the same time. Gee, I wonder where the financing will come from? I don't think Thailand will be recognizable in 10 years.
  16. Actually you are completely wrong. To be hog-tied, the hands and feet are bound together so that the prisoner is completely immobile and helpless. It can be in front of the body, or behind which is especially brutal. It is usually a prepatory step before slitting the victim's throat.
  17. Hellhole. If I was locked in that, I'd start looking at the towel in a different way.
  18. German criminal laws are more forgiving, focusing on rehabilitation instead of severe penalties. What may be lengthy-to-lifetime convictions in some countries may only be 3-months to 10 years in Germany. https://apnews.com/article/germany-child-sexual-abuse-19e743b19057aa7345bf3cba4a8f6fff Article with stats & figures for German pedophiles https://vtforeignpolicy.com/2024/12/germanys-ruling-coalition-plans-to-legally-normalize-pedophilia-and-molestation-of-underage-children/
  19. The Passport Card is intended for use by Americans travelling through most nations of North, Central, and South America , as well as many Caribbean nations. It would be completely useless in Thailand and the rest of Asia.
  20. I say 60/40 suicide/murder. His crime was obvious, even captured on film IIRC, and shaking-down drug dealers isn't the sort of crime that threatened the higher-ups, so there doesn't seem any real need to "shut him up forever". And, why wait 3-years when he could have easily been shivved in the showers by someone long before. Besides, there exists CCTV video of him alone in his cell when this happened. However, as he was accustomed to a life of luxury before his imprisonment, his depression may have built up to the point where he literally couldn't take it anymore and a knotted cord seemed a way out.
  21. Amazing! Only the Thais can manage to screw-up a cash cow money-maker like casinos. Other casinos, when dealing with different net-worth gamblers, simply have separate wings or floors for their high net worth players.
  22. Notice that this time around, there are no Thai Pols claiming that the "Uyghurs asked to be returned to China!" They finally figured-out that even professional liars couldn't pull that one off.
  23. If you understood "rich", they have Money Managers as well assistants that fetch their coffee for them. People in Starbucks don't even realize that they're paying premium prices for shyte coffee.
