  1. Well, you are 62 and doesn't sound like you've ever studied MA before.  One big issue with real MAs, whether grappling or full contact, is that you'll do a lot of falling.

At your age, it's too late to learn how to properly fall, as your bone structure has not been built-up, and you don't have the flexibility & reflexes.

To put it bluntly, if you fall a lot, especially with a sparring partner landing on you, you'll break bones -wrist, ankle, hip, injure your spine, or worse, you'll hit your head and die.  Yes, die.

If you want to learn an applicable martial art, I suggest something like cane-fighting where you learn to beat on people with a cane (or umbrella), including learn control techniques, and throws.

  2. Strange, most Asian guys on vacation usually keep their valuables in that ugly manpurse they wear in front - like in his photo above.  I usually see them gripping it tighter than a granny grips her handbag whenever a "insert minority here" walks by her on a bus.

So how did any Ladyboy manage to 'pickpicket' this guy when his valuables were in his manpurse, and he was sitting across from his buddy?

  3. Mental illness exists everywhere.  In some countries, such as Thailand, government provided mental healthcare is very minimal and the mentally ill are expected to be cared-for by their families.

But since the mentally ill have easy access to alcohol and drugs, it only exacerbates the problem, often to the point where families can no-longer care for them and have to throw them out into the street.

And this leads to the OP's observations in this thread.

Police and rescuers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation arrived at the scene and discovered that the dead man was a foreigner. The man was wearing a black T-shirt, long black trousers and trainers.

Due to the company’s rules and conditions at the dock, rescuers were unable to recover the body there. They had to drag the body to the Bang Kajao Nork temple dock and retrieve it.

I know most of you guys can read, but some of y'all need to work on comprehension.

Everything seems to have been done correctly.  The discoverer contacted police and rescue.  It was they who decided to move the body to where it was easier to retrieve from the waters.  I don't know how long the body has been in the water, but if it was bloated, retrieval in one piece has to be carefully managed.

-Or did you complainers worry that all the fingerprints, footprints, blood splatters, and DNA samples would be disturbed a the body in the river was moved?

That's what made me post the question, there doesn't seem to be any detailed info on that part.

I think it's purposely left that way to allow police to have more leeway based-on the circumstances.

In English laws, there's the concept of "intent" which is used to determine whether you are simply carrying a chef knife to go work at a restaurant, or to murder a crazy 'ex'.

  6. I've always carried a knife when I travel, and before 9/11, I walked right onto airplanes with them.  I've even carried a Thai e-Nep when trekking the forests without getting a 2nd glance.

Thai laws don't define clearly what a "weapon" is, so police have a lot of discretion when they encounter Farangs with blades.  Just don't be acting like an @ss and you'll probably be allowed to continue carrying one.

Worst case, only carry what you're willing to surrender, and don't argue over a fine if you get one.
