  1. Sorry my reply should have been for the writer of the Original Post! ASpologies.
  2. My Brother had Pigs Valve inserted 40 Years ago, aged 37, no min invasive surgery then. Been fine ???? Are you going to see a Cardiologist? I paid 18K for the full examination, incl ; X Ray, ECG & Echocardiograph.
  3. Yes, In my case its in a valve in the heart , not the artery. I am 79 BTW. I hope Carlyai is ok and takes your advice and see a good cardiologist.
  4. May I comment that your concern regarding heart attack are true ?. I have been diagnosed with (and I quote) " Severe calcific trileaflet AV causing severe AS........." I wasn't aware of any issues (Except High BP) and the above was diagnosed recently as a result of an Echocardiograph. I an currently on Meds to lower my BP, and Cardiologist will review again in September. The recommendation is that I may need a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implementation (TAVI). Cost is estimated at 2MB +. Hope this helps.
  5. As my old Dad used to say... "the road to hell is paved with good intent".
  6. Cash on Delivery in my case., If not an option , I look for another supplier that does.
  7. Did a one day course at Liverpool Fireman's Training Centre with a colleague, as we were appointed Office Fire Wardens for our respective "Floors". We were tasked with putting out a tray of burning oil, and then re charging the extinguishers and repeating. Can't remember if it was powder or not, but, it didn't do the job as we didn't recharge the extinguishers correctly. On the way home, my colleague remarked, "Good job we wernt packing Parachutes eh?"
  8. That is exactly the same as my experience. One point; I used my wife's phone, and got though and did the "security" checks in under 4 Minutes for 135 Baht.
  9. To quote Josef Stalin, "Its not the people who vote that count, Its the people that count the votes that matter".
  10. Motorbike drivers and their passengers are required by law to wear helmets. A survey conducted by the Thailand Accident Research Center in 2009 found that out of the 3,757 motorbike drivers and passengers surveyed, 15% were unaware that passengers must wear helmets and 32% did not wear helmets while riding as passengers. The payment for breaking helmet laws depends on the authorized officer issuing the fine, but is usually between 500-1000 baht. Quoted from Thailand Law Forum if that helps.
  11. I did mine at CW January 18th 2023, and was "under consideration" until 8th Feb 2023 , After I checked my stamp, I went back to see the IO as I understood it was "under consideration" for 30 Days, as the previous years, she said my stamp was correct. Didn't want to pursue the issue any further. Now Inked in until 1st FEB 2024. .
  12. "....after the election... " That's the problem, that, IMO is what Prayut and his cronies (EC & NACC) are planning to do to PT and MFP.
  13. Add to this the wrong "Photos" of candidates, wrong Electoral Number assigned, and "Ran out of Ink" to the list of the F@@@ery the EC is up to! There were 9 Instances of "Skullduggery" quoted in an article today that the EC have been asked to amend!!
  14. This Gov / Junta, gives subsidies to all manner of things (Travel, Shopping etc) How about Farming subsidies / cheap loans to buy machinery to harvest crops? BTW, always making sure the subsidy isn't used to buy the latest Pick Up.
  15. Correct! My brother worked in Israel doing Pipeline Surveys. His next job was in Iraq, which meant he had have a 2nd passport, without an Israeli "Stamp" in it.
