Christ almighty, this should have been done weeks ago and if the Thais chose to stay in Italy why take them now, makes no sense. It will be impossible to find a doctor available in Italy to do a pre flight CV19 certificate so we will have another wave of infections coming from the most infected country on the planet....

Accurate forecast for the NE, we've had a few thundershowers in North Isaan.
Lucky you...

The Nation has ran this same story/photo for the past 3 weeks. Still haven't seen a drop of rain in Chiang Mai. If they publish the story every week for next 2 months they should get lucky 1 week...

I doubt that there are many test centers in Isan, so we will never get a true number regarding the impact of the jobless returning to their family villages...

Agreed, absolutely appalling this morning. I woke up this morning and the bedroom air purifier reading was at AQI 40 and 150 downstairs inside the house. Govt. needs to ban the sale of mushrooms to help alleviate this problem burning. Never happen of course, to many thick brown envelopes doing the rounds...

Usual annual claptrap verbal diarrhea from the Govt. No action taken against offenders, they are just marking time until the rains come in May. Rinse, repeat..

Anutin is the leader of the main coalition party and from a monied family so his job is safe unfortunately. Apparently he is being touted as a future PM, god help us, there would be a mass exodos of Farang.. ????

Forget about CV-19, the Govt. should be more concerned about the poisonous air people in Chiang Mai are having to breathe on a daily basis. Shoot the arsonists, make an example of them. I would hate to be a patient in Samoeng hospital if suffering from pneumonia, the air inside the hospital today would be enough to send you over the edge.

Cats out of the bag now, thousands roaming around now with the virus. As if anybody is going to contact the authorities, the people in charge have no idea about the common Thai people. Thais don't give a hoot about rules and regulations, partly because they have never been adequately enforced in the past... Som narm naa..

Those N95 masks are badly needed in Northern Thailand. Netizens have been breathing poisonous air on a daily basis for the past 2 months and worse is still to come. The powers that be don't give a monkey for anybody outside inner Bangkok. 50-60 people killed daily on the roads, thousands with lung cancer due to the annual smoke inhalation, Govt. response Mai mii pen ha, collateral damage. A couple of people die from Chinese Flu and the country gets shut down <deleted>?

Whatever happened to all the masks the Govt promised. Various Ministers were saying that mask factories would be working 24/7 producing millions of masks. Total bull <deleted> lip service per normal from the publicity seeking morons in charge...

With xenophobic Anutin at the helm of the so called " Dream Team", there is no way that he will seek assistance from more eminently qualified dirty foreigners.
In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti. Amen....

Alant... if you hover your mouse over the flag that best suits your area you will see that the air quality monitor figures come from Govt. offices, schools, hospitals. No doubt the numbers are massaged to a certain extent so having your own personal AQI monitor would be best. I've had one on order for Lazada for more than a month now, still waiting...

Quite a number fires West of Chiang Mai. It's going to be smoking tonight and 2moro IMHO...https://www.airvisual.com/air-quality-map?lat=18.7446293&lng=99.0861594&zoomLevel=15

It would not surprise me if C19 tips the mall owners, who I believe are an English company, towards just shutting the whole thing down.
Actually Promenada Mall is owned by a Dutch company called ECC Int. Real Estate... Probably why it was doomed to fail by the xenophobic Thais..

As usual Thais being reactive instead of proactive... The borders to China should have been closed months ago but the Govt. only thought about themselves and lost revenues..

So funny, Anutin photographed with the maskless WHO doctor... This WHO doctor must be getting some nicely padded envelopes, he clearly needs to get out and about more before he starts praising Thailand for controlling the spread of CV19.. How can Thailand be praised when it is only reporting 1 death, which is hard to believe given the fatalities in countries around the world..

The air pretty bad everywhere today, especially in the city...

Chiang Mai number 1, the CNX Governor should be so proud. Where are all the N95 masks, they are badly needed for people in the North. Those cloth masks that the Govt. keep harping on about are useless against particle pollution...

The CNX Governor is ineffective he should be the first to be transferred. AQI is above 200 most days, no masks or hand gel to be found in the pharmacies. Also there are very few confirmed cases of CV19 in Chiang Mai which is very dubious.
Following the PM's latest edict, the province Governors will deliberately hide all the true numbers of virus cases for fear of being chastised by Prayut.

If the Govt. really wants to restrict the gathering of large amounts of people why are the shopping malls still open and 7-11's? Will never happen as Central and CP families don't want to see their profits plummet.

Pass the vomit bag. The only people that will be taken care of are the Govt. Ministers, Generals, HiSo Thais and all their cronies... Everybody else will have to care for themselves.. What happened to all the face masks and hand gels, cannot be found in any pharmacies in Chiang Mai. Everything has to be ordered through Lazada at inflated prices. So much for the price monitoring by the Govt. usual BS lip service to the press, TV.

No worries on electricity supply, minister assures

Every time a moronic Minister opens their mouth and says "don't worry we have it all under control" an educated mind can read between the lines... In the words of Private Frazer from Dad's Army...
