Not wrong in the West, but in Thailand, it's spitting in the face of Thai culture.  When in Rome, do as the Romans.  It's that simple.  Many farangs behave--and dress--disgustingly in Thailand.  You cannot deny this.

have you been down some of the soi,s in pattaya?,

    what the thais wear,

  2. my wife has a butchers shop in our village sited on her mums road frontage, i made the shop all sectional steel bolted together, i was a welder by trade,

    no one has copied us,

weve had the pig farm for about 10 years now and sold to buyers, but they started to mess us about so i said f££k them we will open a shop, have the pigs slaughterd and sell the meat, wish we had done it years ago,

my wife opens 6,30 am till 9 ish then 3,30pm till 6 ish that was the busy times so thats what she opens,

we could sell pig feed as we buy that direct from the mill at a fraction of the cost of the feed shops, we do sell a few bags here and there but to be honest i dont like other pig farmers coming round, if someone comes for feed they wait at our gate till we bring it to them, they dont come onto our farm,

it would be very hard to copy us as we buy piglets in, raise them up and sell,

Shouldn't that be 'Would you pay to have a swimming pool built on land owned by (insert Thai national's name)?'. The pros are that doing to would (temporarily) improve your relationship with said Thai person. The cons are that you wouldn't own it and would likely be responsible for all repairs and maintenance, but could use it for as long as your relationship with the owner lasted.

    i feel for you,

    sad

I've never understood the fascination with pigeons until I saw these photos. Some of those birds are beautiful! I particularly like the black and white ones.

    Now I understand

Mate to see the racing home from a race is a great feeling, knowing you have bred them looked after them trained them and they come home forvthe love of there home is a great feeling

  5. hi guys just thought i would share a picture of our carrots they need sandy well drained soil, i incorperate well rotted pig manure in the ground too, but they grow very well and to a good size, these are in the open too, some parts of my veg plot has shade cover and its just a matter of trial and error to find the best place, but with carrotts its all about the soil preperation, they like loose well drained soil, you could make this better in a raised bed, concrete ring for example

  6. If your talking about maize then it's about 5.5 to 7 but a kilo, cheaper if still on the cob,

I buy it in for the pigs and other animals we have, we also get my in-laws to grow u think odd couple of rai and I buy it off them.

I've got a machine that will grind even the cob to a rough powder as well as the corn,

    Good luck

  7. hi lickey,

im just glad your still about mate, i hadnt heard from you in a long time or seen you on here,

i must admit when i go and kill a couple of our cockerals they dont look as good as the chicken in tesco all trusted up nice, but ours sure does taist a lot better, if there older ones they go in the curries, if nice and young ones for all other dishes,

our pork, well i know what they have been eating we sell 30 ish a month when we chop them up i allways keep the loin for us we must have 30 loins in the freezer,

our pigs do get baged feed as i buy it straight from the mill now, but they also get veg, tomatoes, sweet potato, corn, they get what ever is ready to eat for us and them,

i was even thinking of doing a couple just for me and giving them plenty of malasis to see if it made them sweet, i give them all a bit of malasis as a treat i soak cork in malasis water for a few days, take it out put it on card board cover it over and it starts to sprout they go mad for it, i used to give my racing pigeons in england sprouted barley very good for them, so i thought well the pigs can have just about the same but with corn,

take eggs, our duck eggs are the best eggs ive ever had, ( they get the sprouted corn too), they have a run of about a quarter of a rai, they do have pellets but they also get ram mixed with malasis, they too get veg and they eat what they want to find themselfs, you want to see them jumping about getting them flys when its rained, you know the ones that just apear in there millions, they love them, but as i say there eggs, wow,

we have 3 typs of duck, karkie for eggs, peking for egg amd meat, and moskovies for eating and sitting the others eggs,

im glad your ok lickey, i used to love reading your writings years ago,

    take care old pal

jake,, busy earning a bit extra in scotland, yes i still go away now and again,,lol
