The HP Deskjet 2676 uses a HP 680 inkjet cartridge. That is available online at both Shoppee and Lazada, or locally at Panip (40% more expensive) and at the IT cluster at the NW corner pf the moat (also upcharged but cheaper than Pantip).

Buy a tv setup that included a mini-dish; cabling - and then - while I am NOT a fan of TrueTV, they have one thing going for their boxes - included in your list of (free/included) channels is Fox HD. That channel is not available elsewhere from another satellite box.

My wife purchased a top of the type LG 2-tub 3 months ago. It has a problem last month and we were told the 1 year warranty applied only to the motor and transmission, and since or problem had to do with the pumps, we were SOL. We had a different company come in and check it out. A 3,000 Baht repair charge later, a lesson learned.
There seems to be a massive difference in warranties from company to company in Thailand. On the face of it, they do appear similar - just be sure you have a good Thai reader check the warranty before you buy.

A quick update:
The Amphur Wiang Pa Pao made the National news on most stations last night. Apparently a record rainfall - 512 mm in less than 8 hours. Guess that's why it seemed a bit wet. Highway blocked in many places. both by washouts and by simply too-deep water on the road.
Yes, the Mae Lao River has not been getting the attention it deserves here. "Repairs" to the banks and dredging has taken place along about 3km of the river (of it's 30km length in the WPP Valley) - but not yet in the central valley area. That was scheduled for last winter but get sidelined by other more worthwhile projects, we have been told by out local headman. Now that a "once-in 3 decades" flood has happen, I am certain that other more worthwhile projects will now taken precedence.
We understand Highway 118 in now open, although VERY slow going along 4 major breaks in the highway. Repairs are still underway but traffic is being allowed through.
We were very lucky - the water did not enter the house (right to the back door, but not in (by about 2cm). Our garden house (that also housed our freezer (anything salvageable was given to the community to cook immediately - the rest unfortunately went to the dump) , air compressor, laundry machines, etc; all a write-off. Oh well. My wife's great-uncle (93, they grow them a long time here!) says he has never seen anything like this before. The last flooding was 1999 - and relatively minor compared to this.
Back to cleanup = at least the pressure washer survived....

Part 2 now. The river is full and plugged with debris in several spots. Looks like the surrounding villages are in for it. At back door, about 30cm water. The local soi is impassible. Hway 118 blocked in at least three locations that we know about. Likely more.

We live in the Wiang Pa Pao Valley. The Mae Lao River overflowed last night and we were hit by a flash flood. MUCH damage.

Does she ever go out in the sun or only stay inside hunched over a computer? If she does go out, a test is not necessary.

Couldn't agree more. Had that happen to me during a visit to my kids in Houston. The hospital bill was 17,000$ (can't remember the exchange rate then), 2 days 3 nights. A loverly US restaurant.
Must admit tho, I had been forewarned. Seems the US of A had more case of food poisoning than any other country in the world - and 11 times that of Thailand.
Glad I live here.

I must post a quote from another case (the Nonthaburi Immigration Officers case):
"Police General Chakthip Chaijinda the Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police has always made sure that police work must be done with fairness to the people according to the law. The people must be able to rely on the police and officials must not act like thieves by using their power in the wrong way."

I propose that all topic starters who are being PAID by TV for their service state that in each and every post they make. Unfortunately, many members believe all the posts here are "just people expressing themselves" and do not understand that such is not the case.

Stay local - for many reason, most of them rather self-evident.
The best way to find a local builder is to ask people living near where you plan to build. Anyone who has built/remodeled/added-on recently will give you the lowdown on local "contractors" (a rather loose word in Thailand).
This is how we found out builder; how our friends found theirs, and how the non-farang locals do it too.

You have many choices. I had both done, and my only complaint was the meeting just prior to the surgery - when I was asked if I wanted the regular lenses or the "good" lenses. Bait and switch at it's best (worst).
I stuck top my original decision and have never regretted it. Especially after having spoken to several other foreigners who had been convinced to decide for the multi-focal implants - and very much regretted that decision. Your eyes will continue to change - and you will need other glasses, but correction with "normal" lens implants is rather simple - correction with "specialist" lenses may be difficult or even impossible.

WAY too little. Think real problem - and the cost to fix it. I suggest a TH emergency fund of B2 Million with and equivalent amount in your home country.
Any less is dangerous.
A North American living in TH (what he though was permanent) gets a rather mild yet damaging stroke. Cost? 1.6 Million. No time to head back to his home country; cannot wait the waiting period; stuck.

Sheryl, you mentioned the keywords in your post - "legal" and "work permit". The vast majority of the Myanmar workers here are 'undocumented" (illegals, in government parlance) thus have less that zero rights here. And of course, no hospital in CR would dare to provide free care to them. We had a Myanmar temp worker seriously injured and eventually die on a jobsite not far away - the local hospital refused to treat him until someone could prove he could pay.
As per several posts above, TIT - and unfortunately, TIR (This is real) as well.

That's the one - thank you.

About 15 years ago, I bought a Thai pop CD in CM that has now been lost. The singer was Beau and the name of the album was something like "10 Million" or "10,000" or something like that. While the album was quite popular, one of the songs from it has stuck in my mind - Called "Mai pen rai". I have been unable to find any reference to the singer (which I may have misspelled) or to the album or song.
Does this happen to ring any bells for someone?
Thanks

For this location, you are very right. If only they were as up-to-date in more areas of Thailand. A good example would be the new highway from Bangkok to Korat:

Popup and in-place ads here have really gotten out of control recently. This series of pages really doesn't even touch the real extent of anger at the ads, probably the worst I have seen in any website. While this has been the subject of MANY complaints, the admins of this site appear to be following their owners wishes to maximize income from foreigners in Thailand, likely to make up the income disappearing as advertisers abandon them.
But... the new recent addition of multiple trackers is beyond comprehension. So much so that I have had to install an array of anti-tracking add-ons. Of course, I could just stop coming to TV, and if this continues, for many of us may be the only option left for us.
