YIM NGAM Photo on Chang Klan Road across the road from Wat Upphakhut (a bit hard to find but worth it).

Being a avid bridge player, bit 7 notrump once in my life. Made 6. Shucks.

Carabou Dunkel is ... well... not wonderful. It tastes like their regular beer with a touch of something dark added (probably molasses).

Beer is definitely a personal taste item. I would never lambaste someone for stating a beer they personally like (even Archa drinkers... which in my opinion is (almost) as bad a Bud). Have tried all (most it would appear from the pics I have seen in this thread). Full Moon is NOT my taste, for example. Stella is - on a HOT day when a light beer is thirst quenching. But people, if you can get a Lao IPA (ask your 7-11 - they carry it in some markets). Try one. Well worth the effort.

One of the absolute best tastes (available in TH) is LAO IPA. Very nice blend of ale taste with a slightly hoppy head - pour gently into a frosted mug.

We are most pleased. That you are gone. -
Selling "gold"? The prices being quoted are for the Thai equivalent of real gold. Not North American fakes 10/14/18k.

I noticed there was no mention of Americans. But then, that's probably correct. They seem to be busy in animal culture. -
We drove that route 3 weeks ago. The Highway 4 routing to bypass downtown Bangkok works fine and is quite fast. Just avoid Highway 35 (Rama 2) at all costs! We had to go through Bangkok on the way back to visit friends. 35 was a disaster - took 4 hours from the Highway 4/35 interchange to the Kanchanaphisek turnoff - about 45km.

Bye bye Electric & Hello Hydrogen?
Rotweiler replied to eezergood's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Last summer during the peak of the heat, we (who are in a rather moderate climatic part of Thailand) had rolling brownouts. Our PEA suggested it was due to the new number of electric vehicles sucking power. This year is supposed to be hotter. I wonder if the brownouts (or even blackouts) will happen again? With even greater frequency or intensity? I am an electric can fan, but....... I have a hybrid. My electric bill is not affected. -
We went though the passport process for a minor son (17). A note from me and the presence of my wife were required. Not the physical presence of both parents.

No, both not required. Yes, photos are taken electronically at the office.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Rotweiler replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Came across an interesting article (from a reputable source) about the negatives of electric cars. Well worth the read (watch - it's a video). https://www.dw.com/en/fact-check-myths-about-electric-vehicles-busted/video-67587929 -
UPPF has a subsidiary / distributor in Bangkok, so I would assume it is available in Thailand.

So... TV aka AN is now permitting spam?

Next time check the rates posted at the office - they vary depending on which country's passport you travel on.
