Hey, are you just asking because you received a PM advertising IPTV??? Because I did last night. Is that it? I don’t know if I’d trust too many people on here except for maybe a few. Be careful
I didn't receive any PM, I only ask because in another thread there was a long time member who was positive about a service he used, but when I asked for the details he didn't want to provide them.
And since you have now repeatedly used the words " here " and " this forum " it seemed obvious to me that it concerned Thaivisa.
So it now sounds to me as if you know more about something going on here, but now don't want to spill the beans.

Well I don’t know something tells me that you already know something about that.
Sorry, now I'm completely lost.
First post you indicate you are aware of some scams on here, then you actually say you don't, and now you try to say that I know of them?
So if I know about those scams you had in mind, then why would I ask you?
Like I said, if you don't feel comfortable with posting it here, you can send me a PM.
Anyway I will not bother you about this again, I'm out of here

There’s just been people going in online forums offering fake stuff and services that aren’t real asking for money in return for an item you’ll never receive. Nothing big, just typical online scams that occur every day. In fact my Thai Bother in Law was asking me about a Facebook scam message he received today from Yemen!!! Someone claiming to be a US Soldier!!! Well he knows that I am a retired US Soldier so my Brother in Law showed me in private. He really wanted me to keep it between us because I suspect he was a little embarrassed because he was slightly believing it but he wasn’t sure so he asked me because he knew I was a US Soldier in my previous life before retirement happened lol. And it was the typical send me money scam someone posing on Facebook as an attractive female Soldier with a Yemen address probably the Rebels resorting to scams and crimes since their Iranian money is probably drying up, just like every other terrorist group does when the money dries up resorts to crime. Just like the IRA and the FARK in Columbia and many others. But I told my Brother in Law that it’s nothing to be ashamed of I see scams like that online all the time. Phishing scams, Facebook scams we all see it.
But just beware because the predators are out there!!! They no TV in Thailand is changing again so we’re fair game for scammers so just beware before you buy or send anyone a large sum of money. If it’s too good to be true it probably is. And verify before you buy anything because apparently IPTV is sometimes a little shady here apparently. I’ve seen a few IPTV offers that were clearly scams but mostly on Facebook. Just exercise caution!!
Thanks for your reply, but I understood from your previous post that there were scams ongoing on this very forum.
Everyone on here would of course appreciate if you could forewarn them with some details.
If they are too sensitive to post on the forum, please feel free to send me a message.

Like I said already, this has to to with the village fund.
Thaksin gave 1 million to every village in Thailand, and i think it was repeated once thereafter, but they had to use the funds to to improve the community.
Some villages would issue interest free loans for 1 year, and if you pay back at the end of the year you can qualify for another loan on the same conditions.
At least that is how it was explained to me several years ago

I can try!
The "asset" (Tesco) has been valued at 9 billion max, probably by an independent valuer?
The Thai billionaires may offer only 6 billion, then they may eventually negotiate a price that both sides find acceptable, that is my understanding.
Tesco sets bid deadline for $9 billion
This is what I don't understand, why would a business put a upper limit on the bids it want to receive?
-
I don't know the details but I have heard the same story many times over the years from Thai people living upcountry.
It has to do with the village fund.

Thai tycoons in fray as Tesco sets bid deadline for $9 billion Asia business

I'm not a native English speaker, but to me both quotes seem to have opposite meanings, where the first to me means starting bids at 9 Billion, and the second maximum value could be 9 Billion.
Anyone can explain?

They do not have HBO and have not had it for years. Can check online On their website have channel line up
Barry was talking about the IPTV service he uses, and for which I inquired, not True visions.
That said, I can understand his comment about the previous member he referred to being abusive, as i notice from his posts in this thread that that guy suffers from a serious mental condition.

The above said, when I went looking for a car 4 years ago, I walked into Chevrolet "twice" in two days and no one would serve me
Strange that someone who would not want one for free walked into the sales room twice when they weren't even in promotion.
From the response of the staff it looks as if they know you ????

Last week i bought toilet paper at Big C, this week they are selling it as "buy one get one free" - I want my money back!
I guess their main concern is that the neighbours will think that they bought a car for 500k instead of one million, massive loss of face to buy such a cheap car.
The first line in this post sums everything up nicely.
Buyer beware.
There is no case for compensation here.
So you want to claim that you would get compensated if the same happened in your home country?

What’s the name of the service or box you use? If it’s what I think it is I’ll have to get someone to program it because I think I had that before and it didn’t work. If it’s what I think it is.
The service doesn't have a name. It's provided via an individual who, as I wrote, sets the box up. I had to do nothing except plug it in and turn it on.
Hi Barry, are you sure they have the HBO channels and it is a credible service?
If positive could you please PM me the contact details also?

Yeah very socialist of him. Take from the wealthy give to the poor and use tax money to do it.
Since when do the wealthy in the US pay tax? Didn't your "hero" awarded some huge tax cuts on the already minimal tax they already paid?
So obviously the money comes from Joe sixpack

It seems that Central sold it's stake in Big C Thailand to TCC
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-thailand-big-c-supercenter-m-a/thailands-central-sells-stake-in-big-c-to-finance-vietnam-deal-sources-idUSKCN0Y10GP
Central, Thailand’s biggest retailer led by tycoon Tos Chirathivat, is expected to gain at least 50 billion baht ($1.4 billion) from the sale of its 25 percent holding, said one person close to the sale process.
The deal will allow TCC to cement its control of Big C Supercenter without worrying about interference from Central which founded the Thai retail firm in 1993 before selling a majority stake to France’s Casino (CASP.PA) six years later.
