Did you mean Voters or are you in Pattaya

You think the folks at the US embassy are talking out of their rectum?

The United States strongly supports democratic governance around the world, and appreciates Thailand’s recent seating of a democratically elected government.  While the United States does not favor or support any particular political party in Thailand, more than six million voters chose the Future Forward Party in the March 24 elections

We were upgraded on Friday (Maybe we are the first?). However only my netbook can  see the 5G option (supposedly). we now have 2 wifi options, 5G and 2.4G. the other computers and phones are on the 2.4G.

You do know the difference between 5G broadband and 5 Ghz wifi ?

And no, you must have been one of the very last that had their router upgraded to 5 Ghz wifi, others had that years ago.

If you did have your own farm there is now way that you could live on 500 baht a month.

Out of that 500 baht you will spend for your electricity bill, you will have NO smart phone or internet at all, 500 baht /30 days means that you will HAVE to live on 17 baht per day for everything including food. Still think that you can do it.

I still wonder if the guy you are replying to is a troll or someone who enjoys baiting everyone on this forum. because 90% of his posts don't make sense at all.

Apparently, the Captiva LS that is advertised at 499k is now out of stock....

That is according to my sister in law who is in a Chevvy group on Line App !!

Would still be worth going in to your local dealer to check in interested...

Of course they are out of stock.

This is nothing more than a publicity stunt with very limited stock left.

Do you really think GM is that desperate?

Izuzu and GM split a few years ago, the Colorado is not a D-Max.

    https://en.chevrolet.co.th/cars/colorado/model-overview.html

    2.5L DURAMAX TURBO DIESEL ENGINE

At the heart of Colorado revs a 2.5L Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) Duramax engine.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duramax_V8_engine

The Duramax V8 engine is a General Motors Diesel V8 engine family for trucks. The 6.6-liter Duramax is produced by DMAX, a joint venture between GM and Isuzu in Moraine, Ohio.

The fact you purchased a 1 yrs old pickup with only 10k on it for 325,000 speaks volumes as to the quality of the vehicle and how they are perceived by the buying public.......... little wonder GM has sold up shop in Thailand !!

The first Chevy colorado released in Thailand was an Isuzu D-Max with a different front grill and the chevy decals. Everything else was D-Max, so apart from the front grill and decals it was the exact same quality as the Isuzu.,

A colorado, although lookin nicer with the double headlights in my opinion, would go much less than the same isuzu in second hand.

So far for the price being based on the quality.

i was taught to always HAVE TWO HANDS ON STEERING WHEEL at ten to two !!!

As CGW mentioned the correct way now is the 3-9 position.

This is mainly because of airbags that can cause serious damage (de-gloving) if hand are in the old 2-10 position.

I have used the 3-9 position or just one hand with manual since the day I started to drive a car, now more than 40 years ago.

The only people who I see use the 2- 10 position are the 80 year olds who sit so close to the steering wheel that 3-9 is uncomfortable to hold

I've seen more than one post about the box getting hot. Not sure how a box with surface mount technology running off a 12VDC power supply will ever get hot (other than your house being struck by lightning).  Not to mention having a fan blowing on the external plastic/composite case is pretty much a wasted use of a fan. Devices that have fans pull the heat out of them not blow into them.

looks like you have no idea at all about the subject. First of all Android boxes run on 5V not 12V.

Every budget box overheats in tropical Thailand, but you are not aware because you can't measure the temperature.

The heat is produced by the processor, and you will know that ANY processor will produce heat when working.

A PC has a large heat sink installed on the processor with a fan on top and has a large casing with many more fans inside blowing air through the casing.

An android box has something like this glued on the processor

    image.png.12f9ce9310ccab284e8fdecdbf407202.png

I have seen heat sinks 2 x2 x 0.5 cm glued on those processors.

Further more the Android pcb's are installed in a small case with no air space inside, with the smallest now the size of a bank card, and are made of plastic.

Plastic works as an insulator, not as a conductor, so all the heat stays inside the small space and increases.

So with the ambient temperature in Thailand Android boxes start to overheat after 30 minutes of use.

Once they reach 70°C the processor will go in protection mode to prevent melting the processor. Therefore it will start by lowering the frequency of the processor and reducing the performance of many other components including your Ethernet adapter and video frame rate.

If you think that boxes don't run that temperature have a look at the screenshot from a very popular box called T95Z
