Short answer is, "I couldn't enjoy the same quality of life in UK" However without going into pages of comparison I can live a far better life in Spain than Thailand with hardly any cost difference! The average monthly wage in Spain is around €1200 so if your income is more or less the same then you could live comfortably in Spain, where you can purchase and own outright property, you can work (pre Brexit) with no problem. You can buy a 1 bed apartment with sea view (if that's your thing) for as little as €40,000, rent a 3 bed 2 bath penthouse with sea view for €420 plus utilities.

The same reason nothing works 100% here, 'corruption' and corruption will always be prominent until all people across the spectrum are paid decent wages.

I agree it's wrong but if he's not the brightest bulb in the box he won't know or care (until.he has a hefty fine to pay). But after landing the first fish the skipper whom I assume is local and would be up to date and abide with all the rules and regulations should have pointed out the error of his ways! Unless of course he didn't bother so long as he got a share! I wonder how many byelaws were broken on the same day by Thai people? They don't particularly want is here and are quick to jump on any infractions no matter how minor.

Your forgetting the golden rule in Thailand, "Money number 1" empathy and sympathy are well below money in Thai culture!

A good start would be for the wage structure throught the police to be published in doing so it may promote applications. Then publish the last 6 bank statements from the cop in charge of the station right up to the top of the pile. Become totally transparent then there may be a chance of public support returning. Provided the monthly wages and monies in bank tally up! The chances of this happening are as we all know are zero

It really comes down to the majority of workers receiving inadequate wages a lot of these factory workers are on less than €500 a month with overtime! The law expects them to have vehicle insurance wear crash helmets etc etc. The majority of Thais would possibly do this if they were paid a fair wage ! Whilst not condoning the actions of the loan sharks in the long run it may jolt the company owners to give pay rises.

My ex told me mom owes money to the government she must pay ex amount (i cant recall exact amount but it something like 30k) once every year, it turns out she is apparently paying 10k a year I asked how long ago did she borrow the money ? 26 <deleted> years ago! No I didn't help simply because there's mum, 3 daughters and a son if they couldn't come up with 30k between them in 26 years why should I? BTW this is one of the reasons she's my ex ????

When I first came to Thailand I asked my friends Thai wife a serious question, "How old do you have to be to drive a motorcycle in Thailand "? Her reply, "When your mum says you can"!
