    Unfortunately a lot do what they want, relying on the urban myth that because of the alleged corruption of the police you can buy your way out of anything.

    Sad state of affairs, I would love to know the reason (which the insurance company surely must have provided) why they are refusing to assist. If possible the name of the insurance company.

    Not nice for the parents, a waste of what sounds could have been a productive life. Other than alcohol I've not taken recreational drugs, that's not to say I haven't been offered or around them. In this day and age I think it would be nieve of parents to think their child hasn't been offered or tried drugs. Some come through unscathed others may not be so lucky! In my opinion it's all down to choices made and luck.

    Someone other than the DJ stole his phone but he ends up fighting the DJ? It's reported that the security guard has been fined by the police shrewd move? it puts that to bed. The Yank is lucky it wasn't in USA he'd be a statistic. Get drunk and start fighting with a Thai this is often the result.

    It appears that the lad had some insurance! The problem is that the insurance company will not pay his return to the UK, because they BELIEVE he wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the accident! Possible solutions are a few depositions stating he was seen wearing a helmet prior to accident. It doesn't state if his treatment in Thailand cannot continue. If that's the case let the Thai hospital take care of him.

    I've actually taken the time to read a lot of posts! I wonder if someone with greater knowledge than me could answer the following:- Name one leader of Thailand who hasn't been corrupt? Those who see this as an opportunity to 'bang on' about other leaders, please read the post again! Have a great weekend one and all.

    Thailands image is constantly damaged because of the handling of the 'Red Bull' case! Along with all the other blatant corruption! They bang on about tourism yet the powers that be seem to think that all the bad publicity stays in Thailand and the rest of the world is ignorant.

    Cctv would clear this up in no time. There's two factors to this story that make me think the worse! Thai girl + money = in most cases!
