If warm humid climates mates have some impact, how is the advent of the cold/flu season (winter) going to increase infections and why are the warm humid southern states of the US so hard hit with hospitalizations and deaths?

same reason the countries with highest vax rates have some of the highest c19 infection rates and also, to confuse people like you, which seems pretty common occurrence, and because u don't like me and because people like to troll and because.....

The vaccine works. Spend more time with quality news sources and you'll find out.

    Bizarre

Yes, i agree there seem to be prophylactic benefits, but no way in heck's name do they prevent infection.

If your covid vaccination prevented covid infection we would not be having this discussion and you would stop  stigmatizing the unvaccinated and you likely wouldn't give a rats asz if i or millions of others are vaxxed or not, or if we are recovered from covid. So if, the vaccine is effective and protects you, be happy and leave it at that.

Stop posting misinformation! The vaccine is still highly effective.

Study the vaccine rates closely. Most are for ELEGIBLE people. Not the entire population. Focus on the latter.

Why are you so against this vaccine? Doesn't make sense.

Apparently the vaccines have prophylactic properties but clearly the vaccines are not preventing infection as some people are ramming down your throat. And now u need additional (booster shots) to preserve the "waning" protection syndrome.

Ummm....keep up. The virus is mutating. I sure hope you are aware of this. Seems not.

make a vaccine that works to prevent transmission. The natural immunity which is much higher, stronger, the vaccines are not working to stop the spread, if they are show me the numbers.

Of course, it's a pandemic of the mutations now which the vaccine is of little use. 555.

Have a look at the numbers in countries like Indonesia and make your case for delta and many other countries with surging covid infection despite high vaccine rates.

  6. The pandemic is not slowing down despite high vaccination rates and the poor transmission prevention afforded by vaccines is likely to blame.

The 7 day covid infection rate is 4 times higher (Sept 5, 2021) than it was a year ago and NOBODY was vaccinated yet 75% of eligible people have a least one vaccine dose now! Massive increase in covid infections despite more than half the country being fully vaccinated. This is a pandemic of the vaccinated as the data would imply, since the vaccine has done nothing to slow the spread.

Don't like this or believe it....check it out. I have more data, and links.

  7. Perhaps we don't really know since the MSM and others try to distort the data to fit the narrative of the day.

    https://www.thecollegefix.com/despite-95-vaccination-rate-cornell-today-has-five-times-more-covid-cases-than-it-did-this-time-last-year/

The 95 percent metric is falsely high because when the data were collected, few were vaccinated and, by necessity, the majority of those hospitalized were unvaccinated. Then breakthrough cases were no longer counted, yet states continued to collect data for another month or two. If breakthrough cases were being ignored, then only unvaccinated cases were counted, falsely creating that 95 percent figure.

The problem is when data are cherry-picked to present a pre conceived self serving  narrative. That is when science turns into propaganda. As the Seattle Times noted of the 95 percent figure, a “misguided and dangerous statement.” Going further saying, “But it’s not that simple and to oversimplify by calling it a ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated’ will only make the problem worse.”

  8. Recent studies are out recently showing that vaccinated have the same viral load as unvaccinated. This means vaccinated can spread the virus and some studies show the vaccine helps slow the transmission of the delta variant.

I think the jury is still out on the waning/longevity equation of vaccine protection as the FDA ponders 3rd injection booster. I think no one really knows for sure how long vaccine protection is afforded by moderna and other vaccines.

  9. The big nothing burger here is that vaccinated people can both contract and transmit covid infection, especially the delta variant. Just a fact, vaccines DO NOT prevent covid transmission 100%, but it is argued they can slow the rates and there are anomalies as have occurred in Israel and some sporadic high percentage breakout infections among vaccinated in various locations globally. And more recent developments indicate "waning" pfizer & moderna vaccine protection with the possibility of 3rd vaccine shot (booster) becoming necessary to ensure some measure of protection.

  10. One August 6, 2021 UK’s Public Health England published this document on their website (see attached link below):

SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and variants under investigation in England Technical briefing 20

The report indicates: Out of the 742 deaths, 402 were fully vaccinated. 79 had received one shot. Only 253 were unvaccinated.”

(refer to Table 5: pg 18 to 19)

No conspiracy in facts, unless you can convince me the website link is fake and/or the data contained therein is incorrect.

I think that yesterday there were about 50,000 tests so the positivity rate is more than 40% which must be one of the highest in the world. Various data are shown at https://ddc.moph.go.th/covid19-dashboard/,  the number of tests is the last bloc in brown.

Yes, very high proportion of daily positive covid cases, probably the highest case rate in the world as of Aug 20.

Interesting to note that Thailand's covid testing rate has increased only fractionally since recording data but covid positve case rates have soared recently, (>42% on 13-AUG) after looking at the data in the link you provided. These numbers are very troubling for Thailand, (or any country).

I have done this (sort of).

Received 1st AZ shot in Thailand, then travelled to work and received 2 Pfizer shots (1st one a month later, 2nd one a month after that).

Personally, I don’t think there is any risk with ‘adding shots’ they are just vaccines.

The issue of course is getting someone to agree and sign off on that,  try and get a Dr to sign off that its ok to eat a tub of mayonnaise after a Covid-19 vaccination and most will be reluctant - my point there is whenever colouring slightly outside the lines there are very few who would put their name to it, thus others will interpret that as dangerous.

IF you really need to get a vaccine certificate of an internationally recognised vaccine the do not tell them you have been previously vaccinated.

Options depend on your nationality and availability of vaccine in that country.

i.e. if you are British and go to the UK you should be able to easily get a vaccine, although I suspect you may not get a choice and given either Pfizer or AZ - other countries may be different.

I’m not sure if there are any options to pay privately for a vaccine and get a choice yet.

When did you take the Thai AZ vaccine, in June?

So, (3 vaccination doses in about 90 days?)

  13. Has anyone performed some speed tests from Thailand (ToT, 3BB, or TRUE) using NordVPN OpenVPN and Wireguard protocols? Interested in know how well it performs when connecting to US (LA, NY, Florida) and UK, Germany, France, Singapore & Thailand server locations.

  14. Pattaya needs to open up YESTERDAY but unfortunately covid is ever present and NOT improving in the transmission numbers.

The various doom and gloom propagandists are alight with predictions of much worsening predicament due to covid, and the current situation in Thailand and other locations is not surprising and I do recall warnings & predictions of the current dire situation globally with a few bright spots scattered around the globe.

It's a juggling act, finding a balance with economically reviving the economy and managing pandemic crisis. Many lives depend on Pattaya economy for sustenance, especially tourist dollars.

    Thanks for passing it on.

This offer started on the 8 August and the British Embassy sent you the email at approximately 1.00pm on 11 Aug which is 3 days later. The offer closes tomorrow 12 August at midday and applicants will be offered the vaccines on the basis of first come first serve. The embassy has done us no favors here! ☹️☹️

And, pay now BUT eta for this vaccine is Q1 2022, which means u might wait until March 2022 to get vaxxed.

NordVPN has the split tunneling feature. Mine is set so apps/software use the VPN by default except for the exclusions I manually add to a list. On my PC I have chosen not to use the VPN for Microsoft Outlook, VMWare Player and Edge. I excluded Outlook because I was getting "Undeliverable" errors when sending some emails to <user>@outlook.com type addresses. I excluded VMWare Player so I can connect to whichever suitable VPN connection I need within a particular virtual machine. I excluded Edge so I can do online 90 day & online TM30 reports via Edge without disconnecting from the VPN, which is permanently on. I use Brave browser for all other www access.

Nordvpn service blocks traffic over the insecure port 25, so use other commonly used e-mail ports, such as 587 or 465.

Try changing the incoming/outgoing server port settings in OUTLOOK.

  18. Very interesting, hitting on some key trends and developments on a vaccine that needs to be renewed for each new variant. CDC estimates 106M people were infected with covid, pre/post vaccine is unknown, but it's becoming more clear natural immunity is vital in managing covid and not euphemistically referred to as variant dependent vaccines.

Some in the know, scientists, doctors, are now citing vaccines as likely promoting new covid variants.
