  1. Friend who needs money is helping with some moving. Need a large hand trolly or two man sling to move a big fridge. Stairs involved so no alternative really.
  2. Lots people with pickups but then would have to make at least 2 trips
  3. In Chiang Mai, going to a village in Chiang Rai about 60 km up the 118
  4. Tuk Tuk won't do as I've got a big fridge that will need a truck. Ive got a one bedroom unit worth of stuff
  5. Preferably within reasonable distance from town centre. Thanks
  6. I have a toaster that's expensive enough to justify repair. Everything works except now you have to stand there and hold it down while it's toasting. I'm in the Chang Khlan area if that helps.
  7. Fair point. I've been in the same place now for more than 10 years so it really does feel like my home.
  8. Apparently I'm too noisy. I pay month to month. Because I'm the oldest tenant I'm still on a really good rate. By booting me out they can get another 2000b in their pocket every month
  9. Not sure how to go about getting the right legal help. Should i start by trying to find a good Chiang Mai lawyer (suggestions welcome), or is there a government agency that helps people with disputes, like the office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB)?
  10. Will be arriving hours before the bus leaves and would prefer to visit Central Festival without lugging my bag.
  11. There used to be a mini mall (now torn down) near Arcade bus station that I think was also called Arcade. There was a Rimping there once which closed. On the first floor there was a unusual Isaan/Thai restaurant with colourful theme, loads of cushions etc. I'm assuming they moved somewhere else because it was quite popular. If you know the new location or the name, please let me know.
  12. Seems highly unlikely given the current situation but need to ask.
  13. Would like to rent an exercise bike on a monthly basis. I didn't have much luck searching Google. If you know of a source, please share.
  14. Sorry I didn't, my mother still had half a tube left which was prescribed to her in Australia.
  15. Can you share the approximate cost. D message me if you prefer.
  16. I need treatment for a persistent basal cell carcinoma. If you've had a good experience at any clinic I'd appreciate the contact details. I treated it myself with Efudex (fluorouracil) and it cleared up really nicely but has come back in a different way.
  17. This was engineered by the bastards you run the dystopian central shopping malls.
  18. High infestation so cure to begin and then prevent. I'm assuming that a more aggressive approach would be required at the start and then settle into some kind maintenance routine. I don't know if the bugs are carried in by the wind from adjacent fields or how they come to populate an area.
  19. I have a Thai friend who tries to grow most of her own veges but says that most die off now due to mealy bug infestation. I would say problem solving is not one of her greatest skills so I'm trying to help out. If anyone has any hands on experience dealing with this problem, I would appreciate any suggestions. Yes, I will google the problem but I find that local people with local experience usually have good answers.
  20. Looking mainly for herbs and flowers that aren't native to Thailand (eg oregano, thyme, lavender), not the packs of common Thai vegetable seeds that you see everywhere.
  21. Hey troll, you just added +1 to your post count which is all that you live for.
