    Just want to leave my bike there overnight. Couldn't find any rates for bikes. Also can't see any booking system so guess you show up and hope there's space.

    Anyone know the approximate cost of getting from Udon airport to the border and back, plus the fee for crossing into Laos? I can get a return flight from Chiang Mai to Ho Chi Minh city for only 4,450 Baht. I doubt the Chiang Mai to Udon flight; plus transport to and from the airport; plus entry fee would be cheaper and there is less hassle.

    probably would but Haiter also bleaches the color out of everything. Not to mention, the noxious odour would linger for some days.

    I'm guessing the HP is to kill any germs and the BS to absorb the odor. Might not it be better used one after the other?

    Once upon a time, one of our cats used an armchair as a toilet. The cushions are not removable, so have only been able to wipe out all the crevices. Must have soaked into the padding somehow because each time you sit down you squeeze out a fresh batch of stink. Perfuming will only compete with the bad smell so I'm wondering if there's something available that will actually react and neutralize.

    Obviously it's going to depend on the service provider. I'm using True and the only ways i know of buying a 4g package are 1) sending the package code as a text, which has to be done on a phone, or 2) buying the package via the true website. The problem with the latter it still requires an OTP which is sent to the SIM you are buying the package for.

    I'm not a Mac guy but the M1 chip is amazing. Good to see Apple competitive and forcing everyone else to lift their game.

    Many people use laptops in ways that generate a lot of heat like gaming, 3D, video productions and music composition. Dust inevitable gets in and everything gets hotter which means early equipment failure - even with a good cooling pad. High end notebooks can cost over 100k Baht and you don't need one failing on you years too early because you didn't do some maintenance every year or two.

    LOL, like Exactly. I used to clean out my own desktop PCs years ago. I don't think ppl realize just how tight everything is in modern laptop and getting them open can require a heat gun and black magic.

    Not all laptops are the same obviously. Some are fiddly to get open and don't lend themselves well to cleaning. Last time I had one done it was a dual fan ASUS with backlit keyboard so probably more work than your average. Cost 1500 Baht. I had it back in 2 or 3 hours.

    As far as I can see there's no one official service center in Chiang Mai. Need to have both the screen and fan replaced so quite a big job. I suppose most repair shops handle multiple brands so if anyone can recommend one I would appreciate it.

    I haven't been down to the food court for a couple of years which is the last time I saw it. From recollection The plate was about 40 cm.

    If I remember correctly, there was a challenge in the food court of Central Airport. It was a huge deep fried pork steak with rice and curry. Eat it within a certain amount of time and get it free. Any other challenges that people know about?

    When I applied for my covid extension, I was told it was under consideration and to come back in 2 weeks for a stamp in my passport. Does anyone know if you have to come back on the exact day specified or can you leave it for a while?

    Are the documents for the covid extension the same as for the 30 day extension (passport and stamps, photo, TM30)? Obviously the application form will be different. I'm currently near the end of a 30 day tourist visa extension. I'm assuming that there is no issue getting a covid extension to follow on from that? Thanks

    I'm currently on a 30-day extension (obtained from Chiang Mai immigration) to my 60 day tourist visa. The extension expires 29/7.

    Sorry to bug you again, but is the covid extention available to virtually anyone, even if you don't have a genuine excuse? I'm an Australian passport holder and officially there is no restriction. Obviously for me it would be much easier to go to immigration in Chiang Mai for a covid extention than traveling all the way to Udon..

    So i guess it's best to leave border run as late as possible to get the maximum number of days from your previous entry.
