By Goong Nang(GN) 1,128 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Chonburi today 4,016 positive ATK (rapid antigen) tests were reported but all require a second confirmed PCR test before being counted as official cases. The ATK positive tests are just “possible” cases until confirmed by PCR. TPN notes, however, that second confirmed tests are no longer mandatory except for high-risk groups. 1,386 (PCR) and 3,202 (ATK) recovered and were released from medical care Three new deaths The Chonburi Department of Public Health announced 1,128 new and confirmed cases of Covid-19 today with three new deaths, March 21st, 2022. This makes a total of 64,128 cases (PCR) and 91,417 cases (ATK) of Covid-19 in the current round of infections, with 11,854 (PCR) and 38,891 (ATK) people still under medical care/supervision, and with a total of 116 recorded deaths in Chonburi since the start of this recent round of infections at the beginning of this year, January 2022. Additionally, 1,386 (PCR) and 3,202 (ATK) people were also released and recovered yesterday in Chonburi. 52,158 (PCR) and 52,526 (ATK) people in total have now been released from medical care and recovered in Chonburi since this current wave of Covid-19 began at the beginning of this year, January 2022. Tourists on Koh Tao and Koh Phangan have a variety of problems in relation to the ongoing war in Ukraine after the Russian invasion. Russians have particular problems transferring money and paying for their holidays, said Surat's deputy governor Suthipong Khlai-udom. Flash flood warned for 12 southern Thai provinces until Thursday People living in low-lying areas and close to natural waterways in 12 southern provinces of Thailand are being warned of possible flash flooding, from today (Monday) until Thursday, as a consequence of a strong low pressure cell in the southern part of the Bay of Bengal. People living in low-lying areas and close to natural waterways in 12 southern provinces of Thailand are being warned of possible flash flooding, from today (Monday) until Thursday, as a consequence of a strong low pressure cell in the southern part of the Bay of Bengal. According to the National Water Command Centre, the 12 southern provinces at risk of flash floods are Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Phatthalung, Krabi, Phang-nga, Trang, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat. Relevant agencies have been instructed to monitor weather conditions closely, especially in areas where accumulated rainfall is more than 90mm in 24 hours and in flood-prone areas, and to adjust water management plans appropriately. They reported that the woman known as Ing - now in her mid 30s - is the chairwoman of the Pheu Thai party's Engagement and Innovation Advisory Board and widely seen as the head of the "Pheu Thai" family. Thaksin has been in self imposed exile since 2008 after being tried in absentia for corruption. He was ousted in a coup in 2006. Ing played down her possibile candidature saying that it was not all about her. But she said that the party was ready once again to serve the people. In an interview she spoke of the 23 year history of Thai Rak Thai and how it morphed into Pheu Thai. "He's not in charge of Pheu Thai any more but we always consult him of course. "You wouldn't expect anything otherwise in a close family like ours". Thaksin's sister Yingluck also served as PM of Thailand before she was ousted by the current government of Prayuth Chan-ocha whose tenure has lasted since 2014. Wrapped in the BAAC bank sign were rotting human remains. Keng Hang Maew police, in Chanthaburi eastern Thailand, were called and discovered that it was the remains of a man who had been wearing Nike Zoom shoes. He'd been dead at least a month. Picture: Thai Rath Phasi Charoen police and rescue services were called to Phutthamonthon Sai 1 just after midnight this morning for a double fatality. It happened outside the Chaba restaurant when a Hyundai van was leaving and entering the second lane of the three lane road. The Honda CBR 650 skidded 100 meters down the road. Dead at the scene from a broken neck and facial injuries was 29 year old Jatupong. His pillion passenger was not carrying ID and Thai Rath didn't say if it was a man or a woman but was also dead. Both were taken to Sirirat Hospital for autopsy. Phasi Charoen police took the driver in and he was over the alcohol limit. He was charged with DUI - other charges may follow. Sorawit, 58, had been doing some personal business and was in his Hyundai H1 van and was about to cross the Phayathai Intersection inbound on Sri Ayutthaya Road. He nodded off and hit a concrete barrier then plowed into a height restriction sign and ended up on his side. He smashed his way out and said he was lucky to only be slightly injured. Poh Teck Tung rescue saw him to Phayathai 1 Hospital.
