This is not a rare occurrence in Thailand....
Unmarked road works.... no warnings, cones, lights, barriers.... and no accountability for those workers leaving the road in this condition, no accountability of those supervising them and no accountability at all of those in positions of authority and responsibility over such construction.
Its one of the reasons I will not ride my motorcycle at night.
Its one of the reasons I will not drive on high-ways outside of cities at night.
Years ago, the first and last time I drove at night - I saw a strange, odd looking shiny thing in the distance, I slowed and drove right up to it...
It was only then I saw the 'end of the road'... the road has just stopped and was marked with branches and CD's... I was able to go around, in some area's they'd managed to put up some lights (fluorescent strip lights) to mark the road works...
I'm quite sure someone that night would have hurt themselves driving into the ditch in the muddle of the lane made by road workers carrying out some task or other.... but with no regard anyone else after they finished for the day.
Until people in positions of authority, company owners, and managers etc, are held accountable, these issues will continue to happen the the innocent will get hurt.
This isn't an issue of 'careless driving'... no one expects there to be a huge unmarked hole in the road...
Do you really think something will be done? Don’t hold you breath, it would be suicidal.

The police should take this seriously and charge the man with actual bodily harm with intent.

These guys were framed, this is a super rich family who own the police, and this entire thing was a big setup from the beginning. It is a despicable situation, where truth and justice have never mattered.
What else is new, unfortunately? TIT. Compare that with the way the criminal “Boss”, was let go with the complicity of police and others . One can only hope justice will be done somehow (karma?). The scales of justice eventually balance out.

Really, how is a 23 year old Thai cop going to come up with that kind of cash?
He could ask those policemen allegedly getting 100,000,000 baht per month in bribes from illegal businesses. No problem.

You wanted more and more visitors, millions of them, right? You exempted citizens from China, India and other countries, right? Well, deal with it now.

Thai police are to interview a 19-year-old American man in the Thalang area of Phuket over sexual interference with horses. An appointment with police was made after officers with Thalang Police Station and tourist police met the man’s father this week. It followed a reluctant complaint by local horse owners in the Pa Klok sub-district over the young man’s repeated behaviour. The complaint included CCTV evidence to support the claims.Thalang Police are actively investigating a disturbing complaint involving a 19-year-old American man made by locals.
A local couple who breed horses allege that the young man is committing indecent acts with animals. At length, their stable is located in the Pa Khlok sub-district of Phuket.

Exactly. Thaksin would never have accepted to come back knowing he would ACTUALLY spend time in jail. The whole thing is a sham and a slap in the face of the Thai people.

In Belgium, it seems the Islamist danger is not taken seriously. Moelebek remains, to all intents and purposes, a nest of extremists. However, saying that in Brussels would immediately qualify you as islamophobic.

Indeed! In the meantime, a civil servant who used an official for his personal use for two years gets a 50 year sentence!!! Mind-boggling but, again, TIT “justice”.

Pedophilia in the Catholic Church has been well documented because the omertà was lifted. There are good reasons to believe it is rife in other religions, too, but the fear of revealing incidents involving religious figures, as was, and still is, the case in the Catholic Church, has deep cultural roots.

Although its clear from all of your posts (on every thread) that you are unable to arrive at any conclusion of your own instead rigidly believing anything written in what is often a poorly written article very thin on information, others are capable of 'making assumptions' based on experience and information....
I also suppose bias comes into it... and my bias is that when there is a pickup loaded with people travelling at speed, its usually driven by someone who isn't particularly careful or fastidious about safety, especially in a country where safety its not a priority... So, assumptions can be drawn for the purposes of discussion...
You clearly do not like people discussing these assumptions and are only willing to discuss what is written in an article, yet you forget that what often is written in an article is often someone else's assumption or interpretation of what has happened....
IF you only want RIP comments, you should perhaps start reading obituaries, if you don't want discussion read the news...
All legitimate questions and the answers are well-known.

But take it back or not it shows all investors one thing & that is you can count on nothing stability wise in Thailand.

Why I always stay armed with something in this country just in case some anti foreigner gang decides I am an easy target. Having said that this country is still way less violent than the UK. If you want outrage go to a Western pride event where you will find all sorts of deviance done by adults in front of children or the fact the US is largest human trafficking country in the world facilitated by its own government.
“Deviance done”? I didn’t know one could “do deviance”. As for the US being the “largest human trafficking country in the world”, well, prove it with facts instead of resorting to baseless assertions. I have the feeling we are dealing here with a sexually repressed or otherwise closeted individual.

French Demonstrators Rally for Trans Rights Amid Controversial Senate Report

Quite so. This trans lobby is dangerous. The book “Transmania”aims at warning people about the dangers posed by unregulated medicalized transitions without supervisions. Some ten-agers, some say even kids, are encourage to undergo the procedure only to realize later it was a mistake and being mutilated for life as the operation is alleged to be irreversible. But wait until the Moslem brothers come to power in France: Sharia is already enforced in some areas (witness recent killings in that country of mine) and the disease is spreading. Trans, feminists, LGBTQRSTW…et al will be the first victims.
