You mean “hospitElity”. A friend of mine who came from France in early January and tested negative before boarding his plane, was tested positive after arrival in Bangkok. He had to stay at a really crummy “hospitel” in the Phayathai area. The chow was horrible and we had to bring him some decent food (there were many bags at the reception so he was not alone in this predicament). He stayed there 10 days, got some treatment and was eventually released after testing negative twice. I find it outrageous that the hotels that are requisitioned to take in quarantined people are not checked to make sure their “guests” are properly treated. Quarantine is already an unpleasant experience so the food could at least be decent, especially considering the money those people have to cough up ( pun intended).

If its ever legally recognised in the future, will foreign men married to a thai man be required to show 400K to qualify for the marriage visa? ????
We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.

If you ask me - I prefer they legalise cannabis first...

I have crossed Phuket, Pattaya and koh Samui off my list of places to visit or to stay at a long time ago and have warned friends about the rip off scams in those places.

Leaving is no problem...The problem is that you want to come back!!
Quite so. Too many uncertainties regarding the return, especially regarding the insurance requirement. Will my Cigna insurance be accepted, for example. They have changed the rules for Non-OA but what about Non-O, I am still unclear about it.

This is a cop out (pun definitely intended). Religion offers a very convenient way to show remorse.

The penalty for taking in such a felon should be immediate abandonment of the temple and monastery, and mandatory destruction of the entire complex.
These temples should never be above the law, and it is not the example anyone wants to see, when they engage themselves in this kind of cover and lack of judgment.

Look at how many unconcerned people it takes to inspect a Zebra crossing ! And none of them know the answer as to what to do so they want to get rid of it !! Pathetic.
It would be comical if it weren’t so tragic! It reminds of a Belgian joke: how many people do you need to change a bulb on a ceiling lamp? Answer 6: one holding the bulb and tive to move the chair around.

Absolutely. These minivan drivers are totally speed crazy. I would never dream of taking one. I warn anybody I know coming to this country to avoid them at all cost (especially the cost of their lives)

Give the guy a break. He was blissfully unaware that he could have slowed or stopped the truck by use of clutch and gears.
The truck looks quite new, as Mutt said, poor driver or poor maintenance.
No, give him a BRAKE!

What prevented her from doing what (almost) everybody does and do her TM 47 every 90 days? After 3 years in Thailand, she should know the score. Now she has to face the music. Besides, don’t tell me she didn’t know about the consequences of flouting immigration rules. So, yes, no sympathy.

And wouldn’t have gotten any, had she asked for it. People like that should be sent to jail for a few days, heavily fines and deported.

Note the condition of the truck tires. They are never checked and brown envelopes make sure that nothing is being done.

Either that or driving too fast, as has been noted many times some people forget that Ice is heavy and can cause the vehicle to be overloaded there by reducing normal steering & braking capabilities
Don’t expect them to know anything about the laws of physics and anyway, laws, whatever they are, are meant to be broken, consequences be damned.
