with implications for the reputation of the police force and the rule of law in Thailand?  My goodness, that would be awful! One shudders at the thought the Thai police force’s reputation might be tainted! And the rule of law! What is the world coming to! Remember the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah with God asking Abraham  to find 10 righteous people to spare the cities….you know what happened! One can’t help wondering how many righteous cops….

Not sure anyone believes they were the murderers, imagine that, being in prison for a crime you didn't commit

Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo are as innocent as the day is long, many people from that area know what the truth is, that the son of the headman of Sairee Beach is a serial killer, and David and Hannah are not the only ones he's taken out.

These guys were framed, this is a super rich family who own the police, and this entire thing was a big setup from the beginning. It is a despicable situation, where truth and justice have never mattered.

What else is new, unfortunately? TIT. Compare that with the way the criminal “Boss”, was let go with the complicity of police and others . One can only hope justice will be done somehow (karma?). The scales of justice eventually balance out.

American 19, caught abusing horses in Phuket. Thalang Police to grill suspect after disturbing allegations & CCTV evidence. Appointment made with father’s consent. Cruelty or abuse charges loom.

Thai police are to interview a 19-year-old American man in the Thalang area of Phuket over sexual interference with horses. An appointment with police was made after officers with Thalang Police Station and tourist police met the man’s father this week. It followed a reluctant complaint by local horse owners in the Pa Klok sub-district over the young man’s repeated behaviour. The complaint included CCTV evidence to support the claims.

Thalang Police are actively investigating a disturbing complaint involving a 19-year-old American man made by locals.

A local couple who breed horses allege that the young man is committing indecent acts with animals. At length, their stable is located in the Pa Khlok sub-district of Phuket.

The worried owners Chatcharo Lek-Awut, 50, and his wife, Ms. Praphada, 43, initially reported the ongoing incidents to the Thalang Police last month.

has there been any info on what these health issues actually were ? or just the usual excuse game.

Indeed! In the meantime, a civil servant who used an official for his personal use for two years gets a 50 year sentence!!! Mind-boggling but, again, TIT “justice”.

If we were to have any discussion up to your standards then they would be held in a court room with access only to undisputed facts - this is not the case on a forum which is specifically designed for discussion.

Although its clear from all of your posts (on every thread) that you are unable to arrive at any conclusion of your own instead rigidly believing anything written in what is often a poorly written article very thin on information, others are capable of 'making assumptions' based on experience and information....

I also suppose bias comes into it... and my bias is that when there is a pickup loaded with people travelling at speed, its usually driven by someone who isn't particularly careful or fastidious about safety, especially in a country where safety its not a priority...    So, assumptions can be drawn for the purposes of discussion...

You clearly do not like people discussing these assumptions and are only willing to discuss what is written in an article, yet you forget that what often is written in an article is often someone else's assumption or interpretation of what has happened....

IF you only want RIP comments, you should perhaps start reading obituaries, if you don't want discussion read the news...

All legitimate questions and the answers are well-known.

I would like to hang him up in his wrists, use a good

or bad knife, open up to some scars on his front and back

body, mid section. Then use a LOT of salt and hear him

screaming for mercy, for which he won"t get. Over and over again!

And of course, a little bit of salt in open scars at his genitals!

                                         No mercy from me!

No, no! Let him die in prison. The death penalty is too lenient à treatment.

As a Brit I am not going to defend a drunk Brit abroad. They are an embarrassment to themselves and the country they are from but I have seen many drunk Thais going around our village and they are dealt with so well by the locals in the main. These cowards really do hunt in packs don't they and worse still run when the Police arrive. Why I always stay armed with something in this country just in case some anti foreigner gang decides I am an easy target. Having said that this country is still way less violent than the UK. The UK is lost.

Use BOLT taxi service, app is super easy to use, a little cheaper than GRAB.

Bolt has options of car with full taxi branding, motorcycle or 'econo' car, meaning basic car in good condition and very clean, no taxi branding. I use 'Econo' car, about 10 to 15 Baht cheaper than branded taxi.

One item: BOLT curently only accept cash, soon to be changed to have QR code etc. Drivers always have change.

Can add extra details of location of pick up in English, their app automatically/immediately changes your message to Thai for the driver.

App shows where the car is all the time.

    BOLT driver's courteous and focused.

Agreed. I have used them several times. Excellent service.  Bolt is also present in Paris: cheaper than Uber.
