  1. Pretty sure there is, and its covered in earlier posts. There's always a point in thinking ahead here, wether its weed, immigration etc etc. It seems to me that the ones that don't always moan when they then have to 'jump through hoops' I certainly wouldn't wont to take the risk currently of being in possession of weed if stopped without card and script or copy of script. 'Recreational possession: Illegal; any amount without a prescription risks fines up to 25,000 Baht or 3 months imprisonment.'
  2. Why would it be a hassle?, took 15 minutes. I'd rather be on top of things, this is Thailand, Where I buy it from is irrelevant and so is the quantity as my script is still valid and i would not smoke anywhere near 30g a month anyway. I want to be sure if I get stopped by the police i can show them that i am legally allowed to carry weed. Surely people can't be that stupid to think the police aren't going to use the new laws to try and get tea money. Never ceases to amaze me how many people just do not forward think.
  3. That's what i was told when i got my card and script. I was also told that the script can be used at any shop if needed, not just the chain of shops i got it from. If people aren't buying 30g at once, how will they monitor sales, and at what point does the shop(s) retain the original script for their records?. On the flip side, once i got my script i bought 4 grams and my script wasnt taken.....
  4. Correct, already got my card and script, and fully aware you don't have to SMOKE 30 grams lol, but the law seems to say that 30g must be purchased at once. My point was people will need to show a copy of their scripts alongside their card if stopped at checkpoints, as the original script is kept by the shop you purchase from.
  5. But prescriptions are only valid once within a 30 day period for 30 grams, and original scripts have to be handed in when you purchase, so nobody will be carrying scripts unless they havent used it yet. Its the medical card I'd say is what you need at checkpoints, and a photo of the script on your phone
  6. Online sale currently don't follow the law, and are illegal. Dosen't mean they don't happen tho. Eventually legal online sales will derive from the weed companies that will Monopolize the industry going forward.
  7. I have a feeling that once its all sorted, online sales will be allowed from the shops that have onsite Doctors and give prescriptions and cards.
  8. Ok, i understand it was delivered to your house, but a lot of medical weed users will carry it with them wherever they go i case they need it quickly, that's what i was getting at.
  9. What will you do if your stopped by police in possession of weed without a card or prescription?
  10. Do you know if the shops open are asking for a prescription to be able to buy?
  11. Buy it online as many Thai and non Thai do. With some shops closing, the amount of product available will be huge, so online sales will increase, plus its cheaper. Always a way.....
  12. Thanks. I'm in Phang Nga, but Phuket is going to be my best hope i think, and I'm there a few times a week on business. Look forward to your update.
  13. Has anybody been able to get a medical card or prescription yet?. Ive rang two major hospitals, and been into two local clinics, neither are currently supplying anything. I see some online places are advertising.
  14. the medical card thats being discussed in this topic
  15. Err, the medical card that's being discussed in this thread.
  16. Is the medical card standard throughout thailand?, it can be used anywhere?
  17. I'm reliably informed that most if not all shops in Phuket are operating as normal. I think a few may have closed initially after the original announcement, but as of the weekend just gone it's business as usual from what I'm hearing, certainly in the main tourist areas. I also received an order yesterday from my online supplier which was delivered to my location, so it seems that at least two different parts of Thailand don't seem to be affected by any changes.
  18. Its all about discretion and common sense. There are certain places i go where i know i can smoke without any problems. I don't smoke in bars or restaurants, but again, simply step outside away from people and have a few tokes, no big deal, it happens everywhere.
  19. The doctor will fill this out, correct?, not the patient apart from signature?
  20. Thai traditional doctors are attending a training session on July 16th to finalize how the prescription process will work, as it stands, nothing has changed, indeed I purchased yesterday from a shop, no questions asked.
  21. Nothing has changed, most shops are open and selling as normal where i live today apart from a few which have signs saying opening again soon once they have the new requirements, and online sales are operating as normal and offering medical prescriptions which will be accepted at any shop. There's actually a new shop which has just opened which has an on site doctor. It's not going away. Doctor "What seems to be the problem Sir" Customer "I can't sleep and get headaches" Doctor "Let me show you what types of cannabis can help you, and i will write you a prescription" Customer, leaves shop with a bag of herb That's how it will be.
  22. Thanks. And is a new TM30 required with new passport or is that transferred?
  23. Whenever i re enter Thailand i go to immigration within 48 hours, i tell them 'same address', so no new TM30 is needed (will i need to do a new TM30 if i have a new passport?), then i hand them my passport, and 3 minutes later my passport is returned with a new 90 day report slip which has the date of my next 90 day report on. My question was, if i decide to to the stamp transfer the same day, do i do my 90 day paperwork before i transfer stamps or after?
  24. So if i re-enter Thailand with my new passport, i need to transfer the stamps asap. I have to report to immigration anyway as normal within 48 hours of arrival where they will give me a new date for my next 90 day report. Do i do that first, or transfer the stamps then get the new 90 day report date?
  25. Thx, no i dont do anything online, so my plan was to return to Thailand a few months before my extension expires (as normal) with new pp and valid visa in expired pp. So i will produce both on arrival in Thailand BKK. My next step would be to to go to my local immigration to have the stamps transferred to my new pp then at my local office you need to report when you re enter Thailand anyway, so do the new 90 day report at the same time.
