  1. Thank You for all the responses,

we're still working on the situation, but the parents don't agree with any of our suggestions. They have the final call, but the tough love goes both ways, if they don't want to try and fix the situation then they need to understand not to call us for help when it all goes bad...

We really just want the kid to turn out alright, there are many honest hard working field hands in Thailand, If that's how he turns out it'll be OK, he needs to stop the stealing and dishonest now!

  2. The running away and stealing suggest this needs professional intervention. The local hospital might now some organisations where one can turn for help.

If not, I would perhaps call the paveena foundation and see if they can direct you to an organization in the neighborhood.

But I would act quickly. The longer it stays this way, the more problematic it will get.

I agree, He's 12 years old and he deserves a chance to straighten out his life before it's too late. He runs away and hangs out with a much older crowd who's influencing him in a wrong way. My wife is going try Paveena first. Thanks very much for the info, we would never have thought of them!

I found this contact info, I'll update later with what they say:

  3. My 12 year old brother in law is having problems and we're not sure where to turn for help.My wife and I are abroad and his Mother and Father honestly have no idea what to do. My wife has heard of rehabilitation/ therapy help but we honestly do not know where to start.

Last year we sent him to a boarding school but he only stayed when my wife was there to keep him inline and now has stopped going to school completely. He has ran away from home many times and is now stealing from his Mom and Dad. The most recent theft was serious, he took his mothers ATM card and drained their account. Not very smart of him, he was caught on video doing it and the police were notified. There may also be drugs involved but we honestly do not know.

The in laws are farmers and not really equipped to deal with this. If any one can help with a phone number or any other place to start I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks

  4. My wife had hers done in Sriracha at the hospital by Robinsons. EXCELLENT!!! It was about 80K, but that was with two nights stay in a private room. The doctor was very knowledgeable and offered a variety of silicone options. We went with the implants that have the individual cells rather than the single big bag. High quality silicone. They did the operation with a VERY SMALL incision near the armpit, so no big scars or anything. The wife complains that they aren't big enough, but they look great and are huge for a Thai and look like they could be real natural big ones....

    Wow, That's good information! Thanks...
  5. All of my favorite ladyboys have had theirs done at Yanhee Hospital in Bangkok (including the two I met last nite, who had beautiful breasts). Some also recommend Pratunam Polyclinic (however others say Pratunam is better for the "snip" and Yanhee better for the bolt-ons. They are both large aesthetic surgery centers in Bangkok and have detailed info to n English on their websites.

I know you were asking about Pattaya but you may want to consider these world class plastic surgery centers as well.

She's looking in to this now, we were just curious about Pattaya for the convenience...

Good experience from BKK / PTTY, operation about 6 or 7 years ago, no issues. At the time it was about 70K but with the exchange rate then being a lot better than now not bad value for money.

The girls in the ago go's are not a good judge for the success of the operation, a lot of them i have seen over the years are like 2 half coconuts, as hard as them too!! The reason for this is coz they go straight back to work and are too lazy to massage them - this is very very important for the best long term results, massage as much as possible for as long as possible as soon after the operation as possible.

You also need to bare in mind this is a pretty big op, make sure the missus knows it will be painful.

She knows how important it is for the daily massages and has asked me to give her a hand or two with the chore.... I'm going to book a consultation at Bangkok Pattaya for her and see what they say.

    Thanks Guys!

  7. Just a warning.

Some years ago a previous GF of mine had breast implants done at Pattaya Bangkok Hospital. A total disaster. They did try and do a correction free of charge but did not work. Had to pay 1 further time to correct mistakes and still wasn't that good. Cost 80,000B each time.

I dare say there are many who have had a successful operation but there is always a danger it will not work out as your wife or you expect.

I'm worried about mistakes also and of course her health, that's why I posted her hoping to hear about some positive experiences. From my knowledge and google I've only found 2 places to have it done. Bangkok Pattaya and a clinic on Soi Town in Town.

    Thanks!

  8. This what I probably read long ago, or something like it.

However, under current Land Office policy the Thai spouse can own land in Thailand, provided that the foreign spouse signs a letter declaring the property to be the separate property of the Thai spouse and waiving any interest in the property.

    http://www.invest-hu...m/land-laws.htm

Now I'm really showing my ignorance, maybe that it what I signed, I recall giving her a hard time at the land office because she could sell it now...... The wife is asleep, I'll call in the morning and get clarification about that.

I hear story's all the time about guys getting houses sold with out their knowledge, but it never happened to anyone that I knew, so I can't confirm it.

    Thanks For The Reply!

  9. Their is a small room on a side road near the bar area of Loei with a sign learn to speak English. The name of the road is Phanit Phatthano I hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I don't remember that particular place but she has checked out most in the area and doesn't like them. Years ago she went to the "English Club" near the market and wasn't really happy with it.

    Thanks Again

  10. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences using FedEx etc. to Loei? I have to send an item from the states that absolutely needs to be there and would appreciate any recommendations.

    Thanks!

  11. It's really great to hear all of these story's. My wife and I always talked about how we would keep her speaking Thai while we were in America but I never realized how much she would be speaking Thai at 3 years old! Please keep in mind that she was our first and she always surprising us by what she can do.

  12. Thank You For All The Encouraging Replies!

I feel a little bit better now, I was afraid that i was doing her a disservice by not encouraging more English, but now I'm relieved by hearing your story's. She has an amazing vocabulary in Thai and does respond to her Mom when she speaks English but is hesitant to speak it her self. Her mother works with her on ABC's and she does watch some English cartoons which should help her stay close to the language. I recently purchase her a Leap Pad which I known she will love and is all in English.

    Thanks Again Guys!
