Well that's OK then. A pint sized Thai girl has the strength to hold a lion back. Totally safe
Let's hope it wises up and eats her. One less idiot in the gene pool.

Really stupid to walk around exposing valuables, in any country.
Anyone who is stupid enough to walk around displaying wealth in a country that has many desperate people scratching a basic living is a fool.
He's lucky to get away with a simple theft.
If he was taking $8000 to the bank he would not wear it round his neck in a see-through bag with a quick release clasp at the back of his neck..

just to correct you - nobody, but nobody, gets a 'little shock' from overhead power lines.
Spot on, and injuries may be to the systemic nerves, heart or brain function. You can't see them.

Another tip, if you have a gold card on any of the airlines even if you're not flying business class, you can get away with using the express business class VIP lane, I've done it many times.
You can always book mobility assistance. I do that if the airport might have long immigration queues or if i'm in transit in a big airport like Schiphol or Chicago. Normally I book it for all nearly all flights but mostly for USA, Bangkok, LHR flights, or transits through Schiphol or Dubai airports.
You get boarded first and on arrival go straight to the front of the immigration queue and then dropped off to collect your bags. You are free to roam the airport for shopping during transits or boarding.
People don't realise mobility assistance is not just for the ancient, pregnant and disabled. Its also for people that can't deal with a possible long walk from plane to immigration or a 1 to 2hr stand in a queue. You can book mobility assistance without any questions of why from any airline. You don't have to have a physical impairment or disability. I'm simply getting on and cant cope with the same things I could when I was in my 20's. But I have no physical impairment but struggled walking for 45 mins, standing for an hour in an immigration queue and then waiting for my bags without being able to sit down to rest. I wished I used it earlier. Now I'm off the aircraft and out in about 25 mins and I get to sit during the whole process.

And yet, 99% of the people who come that HAVE insurance..... don't need it!
Its called insurance. Its protection incase you become the 1%. It's a risk protection. If you choose not to cover that risk it is your choice but people shouldn't come crying when lightning strikes and they suddenly realise they did need it.
Hopefully it never comes to that but I can tell you that should the risk materialise you will thank God you did have that cover. The peace of mind it brings is worth the money.

Very disrespectful thing to do in Thailand. I would never
That means you are standing on the Kings face. You can get into a heap of trouble for that. The soles of your feet are deemed really dirty and offensive here. Then putting them on the Kings face on a bank note is even worse. Tread carefully my friend (no pun intended), that could get you into some very hot water.

I have a range of Pacsafe items. Back pack, shoulder bag, wallet and man bag. Now they are available for less than $100. A small investment compared to $9500. Its a pity people have to wait till something is gone to realise how easy stuff is to steal from the unwary.
You should take action now to buy the travel gear that makes you less of a target. But to be honest even these devices don't work if you take things out and leave them on the seat next to you or in your pocket. You are not safe even in a car. An open car window is no protection from a mobile snatch and grab. Make yourself security wise before it happens not after.
I see so many people with their phones and wallets in their back pockets. Or filming from their phone out of an open car window. One second and they're gone.
Also accounts like Revolut and Wise allow you to use cards and take out currency when you need it at the base exchange rate. They are linked to your mobile GPS so if your not nearby they can't be used. Carrying cash in no longer a necessity.

Analysts have expressed doubts over the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) ambitious target of attracting 8.2 million Chinese visitors next year.
Didn't see that coming. Thailand has done an excellent job in scaring the Chinese to death about what will happen to them if they do come. Thailand is no longer a tourism powerhouse with all the scams and rip offs, and TAT is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.

A crime free location is normally a prerequisite for tourists not a special exception. Stating that they have a problem that is out of control does not generate confidence and will not help with their tourism strategy.

Cheers - Just a thought , on my old Android mobile phone some of the apps are not originally from the Google Play store , I'm wondering if using the Google account will some how reject non Play store apps and not transfer / clone them .
If they are not from Play Store the Google restore will not reload them. You might be able clone them across using a Clone app from the Play store or simply side load them if you have the APK's. However APK's from Android 6 Apps are unlikely to be best suited for Android 13 if at all. Best bet is to download and install the latest versions.

70 year old Belgian husband
You'd have thought he'd have grown up by now.
As to this
According to the woman, her foreign husband went out to check on the incident and found the damaged bicycle. Believing that his nephew had been struck by the pickup, Danny exclaimed, “<deleted>!” This exclamation was misconstrued by the Thai man as a complaint directed towards him, igniting the exchange that unfolded in the video.
I think they missed out a few words.. "..ing Thai Pr**t"
Nobody starts a fight over the word F**k only.
Unless you are a woman and it has a question mark after it.
I believe that is part of an Australian chat up line though.
"Good morning Sheila, fancy a f**k? (no!!) Well do ya mind lying down while I have one then?"

I'm all for femininity. Love this look. It's chic, traditional and stylish,
Fed up with Airlines like United where they employ aging battle axes and dress them like prison guards.
Long may gender style fashion diversification continue to return.
PS Wouldn't fly with the airline though despite this new found style and beauty, Once was enough.
I always fly Lynx Jet

Watts is the power they use. 10w =100w normal bulb but this is only for incandescent bulbs. Here is a good guide for all types of equivalents.
https://ledhut.co.uk/blogs/news/led-equivalent-wattages-against-traditional-lighting
Lumens is the brightness. 6000 is super bright. Could be the bulb is coated so it will use the same power but produce less light.
LM factor is how efficient the light is at recreating the lighting you want with less electricity. Your can get lower wattage bulbs that punch above their weight in terms of light output but there is a cost trade off.
Volts are important. 240v is normal but America use110v. Pick the wrong one and it will either blow or not come on.
Always take your tube with you. There are many different sizes and fitting so use your eyes and not guess.
Bright white will look like a hospital, daylight has a slight yellow. Warm white has a more mellow fire light feeling.
Go for a known brand not price. There is no governing body who checks what is written on the box is what you get. With a brand you are going to get what you expect.
Go to the shop informed. Read the box and go with knowledge.
Unfortunately times move on. There was a time when you picked up a phone receiver then turned a rotary dial to get a number, Now we have mobiles.
If in doubt use candles.

The Royal Thai Police is turning to elephant patrols ..... ...to upgrade security for tourists
I can see the planning meeting now
Chief - "Crime is going up in Lopburi, we need a unique way to bring it down. Any ideas guys?"
Pothead PC 1 - " Elephants"
Chief - "BRILLIANT!, Roll me another spliff while we hammer out the details"
Pothead PC 2 - " I think we should have have one officer on top looking like the fairy on a Christmas tree and we can hire Canadian Mounties to control them"
Pothead PC 1 - "WOW Man... That is WAY Cool!!!"
And so the idea was born... And they all lived happily ever after

Nope, it will be 67,186.032 You forgot to add yourself to the monthly total and divide yourself into 31 pieces which is how you will average out.

Sounds like he wants his piece of the action. Doubt if he got part of the bung in the original deal. Making his presence known and that he needs his sweetener to make it go away..

I suffered terribly from Anxiety. Seeing a therapist and joining a therapy group really helped. It helped discover the cause which related to childhood where I was told I never lived up to expectations. That lead me to over burden myself and set too high expectations. The most important word I learnt was NO. Not to burden myself with others demands. Things will get done even if you don't get involved. You are not the emotional donkey and you have to let others take partial or full responsibility for some the issues that concern you.
I also found that recognising anxiety as not being real helped. It changes nothing and is simply a mental and physical effect that you have to reject as not affecting the outcome of anything. Recognising that the feeling has no relationship to the outcome enables you to reject it. After a while your body calms down and feelings get weaker and less frequent.
Deal with things one by one. Approach the easy things first not the hard. Work your way through each one and work out a plan on how to deal with them individually. One item at a time not all together.

he went straight to a bar and got sloshed over hours of drinking and after that he forgot where he was staying.
In my case I was flying to Barcelona from Stansted and the 4hr delayed aircraft meant I was drinking with friends and got well wasted in the airport departure lounge bar. On arrival I had also been drinking on the plane so could hardly stand up and totally forget the name of my hotel. A local taxi said he could take me to another hotel in the centre of the city that would have space. When I arrived at this hotel it, as fate would have it, it was actually the one I was booked into. What are the odds on that? The taxi driver was miffed as he missed out on a reward for bringing a new customer to them.
