  1. So I have a slow puncture that is needing air more often.Normally I would just go out and get a new tyre and been quoted 1000 baht. But in few weeks probably going home for a few months so was going to wait till I come back but need to take action now.I see on the tyre it says tubeless. I know on bicycles inner tubes can be fitted but is that done on motorbikes?. If the inner tube idea not so good and too much messing around I will just go ahead and replace.Any suggestions Thanks
  2. Was hoping people on retirement visas don’t have to do this but it looks like all visitors have to do it.
  3. Yes exactly the same except I have the word “Single” and valid until December 2023.So that must get used then when I re enter Thailand this week after being away for about 7 weeks.
  4. Ok thanks i just found that in my old passport with expiry December 2023 mine is a single but will hopefully be returning in the next week.
  5. Ok will get the TM30 sorted thanks.A re entry permit that will be a separate stamp in passport? Am I right in thinking I was automatically given just the one exit/ re entry when I got my retirement visa last year?.I am back in Uk and will return soon
  6. Yes I used an agent and will use agent for next extension.I applied for my first retirement visa last November but because my old passport expires this December had it explained to me I could not get the full 15 months so I lost something like 2-3 months.
  7. Yes I think that’s it.I sorted my retirement visa whilst in Pattern. It is my first one 12+3 so 15 months altogether was how it was explained to me . The re entry permit I think I automatically have one that comes with the Visa?.I was offered to buy a multiple one but I knew I was only going to do one exit then re entry. Does that sound right?
  8. Hi I will be returning to Thailand soon after being away for about 7 weeks. While I was last there I got my first retirement visa with just the one exit. While back in the UK I got my new passport.I assume I can re enter ok on my retirement visa that doesn’t expire till December? I assume that check in desk staff will be ok with that as I will have just a one way ticket flight not a return? Also would a TM 30 be required? Before I have stayed in hotels but this time will be staying with girlfriend in Pattaya. Thanks.
  9. So last week opened my first Thai Bank account.I feel that I will probably go ahead and do the retirement visa through the agent. So I have put so far about 32k baht in my account that can be used to pay the agent.Only thought about it after but they have to have my bank book to do this and confirmed this with the agent and they have it for 2 days.Apparently the 800k is not in there for a long time So my question is should I be confident with 10k + baht in my account while this is carried out because I want to use my new bank account to fund my stay while they have my passport.I do have an ATM card to withdraw my own money.Previously have been using my passport to change travellers cheques and collect money from Western Union I have sent myself. Thanks
  10. Do you mean that you transferred the money over in smaller denominations and not all as one?
  11. Hi All This week will try and open first Bangkok Bank account.Maybe next April /May could be out of Thailand for maybe 4 months.Would the no use of the account be a problem for that length of time or is there a known length of time for inactivity that Bangkok Bank doesn’t like? Thanks
  12. Ok so this week I will be thinking of giving passport to visa agent to start the process of retirement visa (15 months). Been told could be without passport for about 3 weeks. 1. My Uk Passport finishes in December 2023 and looking to go back to the uk in About April time.Think I might be in Uk for 3 to 4 months.Yes I realise I lose a bit of money there in the cost of retirement visa when I actually will be in the Uk.But loose ends need to be tied up.I will obviously apply to get a new passport while there. So when I come back to Thailand I assume I travel with old and new passport. Will I get entry ok when I show immigration my old passport with retirement visa.Once back in Thailand do I have to do something to get retirement visa put in my new passport? 2. I did think I was initially going to have the multiple entry visa that gives me maximum flexibility.Quote for this is extra 4000 baht.I am not really sure of what happens if I just have the single entry one and then do some entry and exits of Thailand. Not sure what the process is do i pay something like 1000 baht fine or something like that to Airport immigration? Thanks
