Hostages were carrying white cloth when shot, IDF says
Danny Australia replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
Keep bringing Hamas into every crime committed by the IDF is no longer works. Same goes to trying to link all IDF war atrocities to 7 October but ignoring everything that happened before that date. How one can blame Hamas when the IDF shoots a guy lying injured on the ground or a when a sniper kills 8 years old playing in front of his house?? The large number of such incidents indicate they are not isolated events. -
Hostages were carrying white cloth when shot, IDF says
Danny Australia replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
This incident is not an isolated event. A few weeks ago, in Jerusalem, an Israeli man, after successfully neutralizing two gunmen who had opened fire, was tragically shot dead by a soldier despite raising his hands in the air and removing his shirt to signal that he was unarmed. Even more alarming, those three hostages, who were unarmed, displayed a white flag, had their clothes removed, and shouted in Hebrew, were still fatally shot. It raises the question: What more can one do to avoid being shot by the Israeli army? Numerous video footage incidents, documented on the internet, depict soldiers shooting at children, disabled individuals, women, and even fatally shooting injured men lying on the ground. Such actions are simply war crimes and suggest a disturbing pattern of shoot-to-kill policies within the IDF. -

https://youtu.be/97bZzxm_5zM The Israeli ambassador in London has made it abundantly clear: opposing both a Palestinian state and a two-state solution. Yet, the Israelis talk about peace. Can genuine peace be achieved in the presence of such an extremist and racist mentality? Mahmood Abbas has long ago completely surrendered to Israel, actively pursuing Hamas, does not believe in resistance, fully cooperates with Israel and considered to be a traitor by the Palestinians, yet he is not good enough to have a peace with. It never happened throughout history that an occupying power withdrew from an occupied land by peaceful means and without any resistance. -

Hamas attack did not happen in a vacuum, it was in response to ongoing brutal inhumane occupation. -

Classic Morch at work. Sometimes you write half a thesis in reply about some trivial post but when you lose the argument and when faced with a powerful logic, you start calling people liars, ignorant, stupid, trolls etc. or trying to rubbish their compelling point of view, as you did here. -

Fateh/PLO softened their stand and therefore both became irrelevant and lost their popularity among the masses, and Hamas filled that vacuum. Give me one example where a resistance movement ever got freedom without a fight or an example of an occupying power feeling guilty and ending occupation as a gesture of good will :) :) :) -

And obviously you are not Einstein either. Ending the brutal illegal, and inhumane occupation will stop the resistance. Not rocket science. -

It is evident that the cessation of illegal occupation, the status of illegal settlements on occupied territories, the matter of refugees from the 1948 and 1976 wars, and the inevitable establishment of an independent Palestinian state are not prioritized on your agenda or on the agendas of successive Israeli governments. Do you expect the Palestinians to passively accept the occupation or allow Israeli puppets like Abbas/Dahlan to dictate the course of events? It's not surprising that the events of October 7th catch you off guard and you keep dismissing their context. This analysis is notably unrealistic. Without addressing the critical issues mentioned above, Israel is unlikely to experience a day of peace. Relying on arrogance and a false belief in military supremacy only serves to push the prospect of peace further into the distance. -

Your comment is both racist, offensive and full of bigotry. Most people here might disagree on many political things, but certainly do not welcome religious bigotry towards any religion. Go away and try this foolish off topic comment and bigot fishing elsewhere. -

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/dec/01/the-gospel-how-israel-uses-ai-to-select-bombing-targets Very compelling article explaining the high casualties in Gaza. Israel is relying on AI-based systems for the target creation process. They went from 50 targets a year to 100 a day. “It really is like a factory. We work quickly and there is no time to delve deep into the target. The view is that we are judged according to how many targets we manage to generate.” In early November, the IDF said “more than 12,000” targets in Gaza had been identified by its target administration division. -

Would you care to provide a link with a credible source (uncredible source is fine in this case). Testimonies from foreign staff would have prompted Biden personally to repeat it in a press conference. -

You missing the point. Three different agencies are involved in this particular case because the victim is an Israeli. There would have been zero investigation if the shot person was a Palestinian. So the point is unarmed person who poses no threat can be executed easily. Nothing to do with the new scheme of guns handout as the shooters are experienced Golani unit soldiers-not amateurs. And yes, executing unarmed Palestinians is a policy and you know it. Happy to provide you with infinite number of such cases. The two children aged 8 and 12 were shot dead by snipers few days ago is the latest example, execution was caught on camera. No investigations there because they were Palestinian kids, now imagine if they were Israeli kids. -

Family says Yuval Castleman, killed after taking out terrorists, was 'executed' | The Times of Israel The guy who shot dead the two attackers in Jerusalem few days ago was then shot dead in a friendly fire by two Israeli soldiers. Footage from the scene showed Castleman throw away his gun, fall on his knees and raise his hands in the air while shouting “Don’t shoot” as the soldiers approached him. He was then shot again by one of them. The soldiers thought he was a Palestinian. It seems there is a clear policy here, unarmed Palestinians who poses no threat at all can be executed on the spot. If not a war crime, it's for sure textbook extrajudicial execution. -

Absolutely, they found enough evidence of the command centre under the hospital, especially calendar of the week in Arabic which made the Israeli spokesman and Israeli army the joke of the planet :) Ex Prime Minister Ehud Barak admitted the tunnel under the hospital was not a secret as it was built as an extra space for the hospital's daily operation by Israel itself, when it was the occupying force, -

Australian James Elder is the spokesperson for the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). He just filmed this video a short time ago after the resumption of bombardment of Gaza. He is on the ground in Gaza right now and he sees this madness as War on Children, not war on Hamas. -

You don't have to be a Palestinian. Any slightest criticism of Israel, or not fully adopting its narrative, would automatically mean to them you are a Hamas sympathiser even you were a Jew or a Holocaust survivor :) -

You have long established a strong reputation for attacking people who you disagree with and for spreading false information. Again, do you have one single press interview (I mean video) not some pathetic article about an 84 years old complaining about her underlying health issues? Anyone was beaten, denied food or medical care, beheaded or raped while in Hamas custody?? -

I watch world media in multiple languages and have not seen a single Israeli or foreign released prisoner talking on video to the press. If you have, please share instead of baseless 'lies' accusation. You neglected to comment on the mistreatment part of released Palestinians in Israeli jails nor threats of re arrest if they dare to celebrate. -

Almost all Palestinian prisoners, many of whom have no affiliation with Hamas, claim to have experienced mistreatment including denial of healthcare, denial of visitors and phone calls, starvation, beatings, particularly since October 7. However, there is Zero evidence of mistreatment of any Israeli or foreign prisoners held by Hamas. Israeli security officials have been actively cautioning released Palestinian prisoners (mostly children and women) against displaying any signs of celebration, either inside or outside their homes or risk immediate re arrest. Sweets and flags were confiscated from homes with press and visitors asked to leave. On the other hand, Israeli released prisoners are under restrictions, preventing them from speaking to the press, aiming to avoid a recurrence of previously released prisoners, on humane grounds, who had praised humane treatment by Hamas fighters during their captivity. The behavior of the so-called "only democracy in the Middle East" and its lack of transparency in relation to prisoners' swap makes it look like North Korea. The linked video shows a released Israeli hostage last night, along with her pet dog, appears unharmed, prompting reflection on who deserves to be labeled a "human animal" in this context. -

https://twitter.com/i/status/1728351249295110400 “Dedicating this explosion to my daughter Ella for her birthday” These were the words uttered by Major Moshe Grunberg from the 271st Combat Engineering Battalion who dedicated the demolition of an entire building in Gaza yesterday, shortly before ceasefire, to his daughter Ella's 2-year birthday. This is the army being marketed as one of the most ethical, humane and professional army in the world.
