  1. Umh: Move Forward 151 seats, Pheu Thai 141 seats. I've looked at these numbers from just about every angle save standing on my head. You know, it looks awfully like MFF inflicted a defeat on Pheu Thai. However you count it, 151 is more than 141! What they have gone on to do is to construct a reasonably amicable coalition alliance with Pheu Thai, a coalition which will hopefully endure and reflect most of the wishes of the very large number of Thais ( together a majority) who voted for these two parties.
  2. Definite "bulldog chewing a wasp" look on the face of the chap on the left in the photograph!
  3. Notice how when it is a triumphant success for the steely eyed bringers of justice it is " Big Jok", when it is a bit more embarrassing it is "Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn".
  4. Never be a cashless society here - too many things just wouldn't work!
  5. I quite like "Nong Po" brand milk. It doesn't have the same "UHT taste" as Foremost or Dutch Mill. Thai - Danish is the same. Mind you, I also quite like Lisa from "Blackpink"!
  6. Of course it could be that he is such a bright and fast moving star that non of these lesser mortals are able to keep up with him, burn out quickly and fall away!
  7. The aim all along.
  8. Come on then, let us assume that I am a blundering thicko shall we? Why was Starmer's late night social soirée, with beer and pizza, any different to Johnson's party with cake and coke? Why did it not break lockdown regulations when Johnson's party did? Why was claiming that Raynor wasn't there when actually she was not telling a lie? After all she is his deputy so not unreasonable to assume he would have noticed her? Why did the Durham Police basically not investigate, and dismiss the matter offhand?
  9. We'll have to take your word that it is a good read. It is behind a paywall.
  10. Most countries manage it in no more than 72 hours, often less! In fact Pita had assembled the essentials of a working coalition within less than 72 hours. Since then it has been delay and dissembling by the agencies established by and answering to the previous government, who a month after being emphatically rejected by the electorate remain in place and have no intention of going anywhere.
  11. I didn't say "forced to drink it", I described how the senior children had the job of dishing out the milk and making sure it was drunk and not played with/thrown around. Supervised by a teacher "Milk monitor" in junior school is a benign concept which will be familiar to anyone who went to school in the UK in the 60s and 70s.
  12. If you accept that he unlawfully took highly classified documents, denied that he had done so and retained them, it is difficult to see how if you accept that you can oppose him being charged. Unless you think that as an ex President he is above and beyond the law. Personally I think that the US needs to take a long hard look at how they manage and track classified documents. You would have thought (hoped) that somehow someone would notice for example, that copies of plans to attack Iran had gone astray! First port of call of course the Internet, just to make sure that some Lance Corporal in the National Guard hadn't put them on Facebook to impress his friends, then check the classified document register (presumably they have one - unless it has been rendered superfluous by new technology) to see who had them last. As you cross your office to the secure room to get the register be careful not to trip over the briefcase containing the nuclear launch codes that nice chap with the crewcut left in your office...
  13. Should have held the party in Durham. It would have been different then, eh Keir, Keir, where have you gone Keir? Angela Rayner could explain, oh sorry, she wasn't there, must have been a hologram. The Chief Constable of Durham appears to have switched his phone off!
  14. Jobs for the "little people" who don't matter, and investment which won't go to the "right people".
  15. Leaving aside the argument as to whether or not milk is "good for you" - although I tend to the view that it is - aren't all children in primary classes supposed to get 250ml a day at school? Certainly in the school I taught at they were lined up at morning break to drink theirs - served from cool boxes with ice to make it more palatable. At end of semester they were sent home with boxes of the stuff to see them through the holidays. P6 had the duty of "milk monitors" to issue it and make sure it was drunk, supervised by a duty teacher. As so often, perhaps look at where the money to buy it has gone? Let us say B8 a carton (wholesale price), 30 kids in a class is around B5000 a month - I say, is that a new motor Mr Director?
  16. Well it's a pretty fair guess - he is 33, male, and from a country where they have been conscripting 50 year old diabetics! I don't blame him if he was dodging the draft; but he is a silly lad to get into this sort of trouble.
  17. He sent another busload of 40 migrants, including women and children, to California the other day. 23 hours on a bus, no food provided. One of them was about to travel to New York for an immigration interview. They got off the bus, after 23 hours, hungry, confused and afraid. Not to offer any solution to the migrant problem, not in any way to help the people concerned - just to be mean and " own the libs"! The man is an utter bastard!
  18. Ah, but have you considered the emissions involved in brewing the coffee, baking the cheesecake, grilling the double pork burger?
  19. Is Anxiety a Pre-Existing Condition? It is certainly a bit of a worry!
  20. How long ago did this raise it's ugly head (the watch controversy that is)? Still, time marches on as they say. Tic-toc, tic-toc. Like many other much older scandals of this ilk it is sealed. Quite likely in a teak box, inlaid with sandalwood and surrounded by gemstones which may, or may not have come from Cambodia...
  21. You are, of course, right. No one in their right mind could possibly wish to investigate his underwear - not even if they have plenty of time on their hands!
  22. I wonder if the rifle and pistol were real or "BB guns"? Either way, silly boys!
  23. They won't realise that until that until they are scurrying down the road to the airport hoping that there are some seats left on the planes out. I think that may well be how it all ends...
  24. And no doubt be the subject of a submission by everybody's favourite constitutional guardian Srisuwan Janya. Wissanu Krea-ngam will no doubt be along shortly to opine that it should be referred to the Constitutional Court, and the ensuing delays will unfortunately remove any mandate from last month's election.
