I get it. You're upset he hasn't taken the bait. You literally WANT him to activate the feds so you whine about him being a dictator. State issue.... their problem. And besides, don't you agree that the federal government getting involved is a last resort? And how can we be there already given such inaction by the governors responsible for their states? Nice try. And besides, we're told Antifa violence is all in our imagination. Violence? What violence. Sorry, but Democrats own their problems 100%. Don't come whining to Trump now.
Once again, a deflection. I just pointed out that it was Donald Trump who threatened to send in the military if governors didn't send in the national guard. Not much evidence of that on his part since the D.C. debacle. How is pointing that outt evidence that I want him to do that? Spare us your mindreading act.
And you claimed re the mobilization of the National guard that "It's the state's [sic] responsibilty. Period." But it's not, is it?

However you want to characterize it in your usual evidence-free way, that fact is that the enthusiasm is there to beat Trump.

Biden's fundraising surpassed Trump's in May and June.

Doesn't need to be. There's huge enthusiasm for beating Trump. And he even managed to stoke it on the 4th of July.

It's the state's responsibility. Period. That's why each state has their own National Guard and the governor is the commander.
Sorry, but your blame Trump mantra is completely without any merit whatsoever.
As you may not be aware, the President has the power to mobilize the National Guard. All he has to do is declare a national emergency. And Trump has threatened to deploy the military if governors don't deploy their National Guard units. So what is he waiting for?
Trump threatens 'heavily armed' military deployments to quash protests if governors and mayors do not 'establish an overwhelming law-enforcement presence'
President Trump said during a statement in the Rose Garden on Monday that he is taking "immediate action” to mobilize “all available federal resources” to stop riots and looting across the country, threatening to deploy the military if states don’t send in the National Guard to protests.
"I will fight to protect you," Trump said in an evening protest, ahead of what's expected to be more protests in the city of Washington on Monday night over the death in Minnesota of George Floyd.
Immediately following the speech, in an extraordinary scene, the president and his entourage walked outside of the White House, across Lafayette Square, to St. Johns Episcopal Church, which caught on fire during the protesters the night before.

SCOTUS has upheld voter ID.
Given how the current majority was chosen, why should that be a surprise? 5-4 decisions leave room for doubt.

Now where on Earth did you get the crazy idea that getting an ID or anything else in life needs to be easy? That concept is just plain bizarre.
Because voting is a right. Not something you have to earn.

A rational person would surmise a lot of illegal voting is going on because the chances of getting caught are so low. It's much like why a lot of people drive over the speed limit. This is very basic stuff.

The chances of getting caught may be low but the penalties are pretty disastrous. And what would be the incentive that would outweigh the penalties?

Quite so, and I never do. Nor did Jeffrey Epstein.
What the "survivors" did, they did very knowingly, without being drugged and without alcohol.
They did it for pure hard cash.
They had sex with Epstein for years in some cases. Took up his offers of world wide trips, education. Then 13 years later turned around and sued Ghislaine Maxwell and receive millions.
Much like the accusers of Harvey Weinstein will now be in line to receive millions from the assets of the Weinstein companies.
The absoutely most astonishing part in the Netflix docu about Epstein was when one of his accusers goes on to claim she was raped, ran away with bloody feet and cried herself to sleep, then resurfaces a few minutes later to say they invited her on a trip to Africa and she agreed to go. And that it was the single most amazing time of her life.
If she was so terribly raped, why would she later agree to go on a trip to Africa with the man she claimed raped her?
It doesn't matter. They were underage kids. By law, Epstein had no right to make them those offers. The law understands that kids have to be protected from themselves.

please post a link the statutes covering the penalties for callousness, crassness, ignorance and stupidity.
"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"
This is not a question of criminal law so I have no idea why you're asking for a link to statutes.

Liberalism and politics are what stinks here. This <deleted> has been going on for weeks now and the politicians have several bodies stacked up in their quest to be “woke”.
Antifa/BLM are currently rioting in Portland and federal police are using CS gas FINALLY
Sure Anitifa. So small in numbers that they're almost imaginary. This is the same kind of prejudice that the civil right movement experienced during the 50's and the 60's. Then it was communists who were blamed for inciting black americans.

Because there are many financial services, such as investment banking, derivatives exchanges, OTC trading, etc. where the EU definitely does NOT have anything even remotely approaching the financial depth of the London markets. How about the reinsurance market? I would expect Lloyds has their hands in much of the EU's insurance industry.
I think EU companies will definitely be hurt if they can no longer easily access some of the financial services that London offers. Yes, these can eventually be built in Berlin or even Paris, but it could take years or decades. Investors don't just establish new accounts for fun. They will need to be woo'ed and there has to be a realistic incentive in order to move their funds.
It is easy to say the EU does not need the financial services of the UK in theory. But I wonder how true that statement is in reality.
Don't see why it would take decades. I somehow doubt that the people who do this will stay in the UK out of patriotism. If there's enough money in making the move - and there will be - why wouldn't they flock to the EU?

Age: Trump is 73, 'I know let's find someone 5 years older, who very possibly might not be able to see through his first term'. Communicator: now Trump is certainly no match for Obama, but you could argue he is a more engaging speaker than Biden, who seems to mumble a lot of the time. At 78 I don't blame him!
IMO looking and sounding good on TV is what wins the US election. For this reason, Biden isn't the ideal candidate.
Have you watched Trump being interviewed? He seems incapable of answering a simple question or citing facts to back up what he says. It's pretty clear he's got a bad case of ADHD and is cognitively impaired.

Just for comparison's sake, here are links to some of Barack Obama's 4th of July speeches. During the time the birther movement headed by Donald Trump was questioning his right even to be President.
Just the slightest difference in tone from President Trump's.

I don't know if you were using "you" in a plural sense or just directed either at me or barmbeker. At any rate, I assumed that barmbeker was quoting you because he use quotation marks. That was a mistaken assumption. But if you're accusing me of being a troll on account of that, well, that's nonsense.

Which is why people on the right were so respectful of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, among others.

I seen a lot of red paint splattered on buildings ,streets, police cars, signs, monuments and statues. Many signs with the clenched fist,a all to familiar symbol of anti capitalist ! Thank goodness the President stymied this revolt on the republic, by the left and maxist radicals. Given time ,if they couldn't knock them down they would of completed the job, in my opinion!
All that stood between The United States and a Communist Takeover were some cans of paint thinner. That was a close one.
