I did not marry my ex out of money concern and she certainly did not either.

Child born in home country, moved here a few years later.

Things changed when ex was back in HER country, where THAI LAWS are made for thai people.

My ex went to stray, but she might have been a closet bisexual as probably living with her teenage girlfriend and having sex with strangers, not my care or business ...

her crazy "girlfriend" wants a child for years, even she cannot take care of herself (bipolar, great ideas / plans that never go anywhere) and that same girlfriend asked me to impregnate her, in front of ex... lol

my ex wanted to get a child or pregnant, same as many people want a dog, but the "new"/ fun is gone quickly and let others the care of it...

my child has already gotten several of my millions gifted just before the divorce (good I know about that THAI law) to be used how the child wants in the future, for education, for buying a house or condo, in case of my early demise...

just was fishing for possible things that give a better return than a bank...

Read what you wrote twice still cannot quite understand what you wrote. Is English your mother tongue? You speak english at home?

  2. I took a course on Site Safety Supervisor where during the training they showed videos of accidents. One shocking video show a worker pushing a scaffolding on wheels which was quite tall structure, this scaffolding touched the power line alone the road and the man was immediately roasted, you could see him trying to take his hand off the scaffolding but couldn't and his body all burning. Burn to ashes, all the flesh were black.

The power line could send electricity to any metal which is about 60 meters away.(can't remember exactly the distance)

ChipButty, just do everything by hand, i do, just put a loaf in the oven 10 minutes ago.

No need for any fancy gadgets, mixers, bread machines.

As Cmarshall said, pita breads are damned good, i sometimes make pita bread, then cook chicken mixed with peppers, garlic, onion, carrot, and make pita bread rolls, delicious with a dollop of garlic mayo.

Yes, agree with you all the way. People who use bread machines are amateurs.

Find someone who can get a licence. Partner up and get in to medical Cannabis etc.

Well, may be. I guess (of course I don't know to be honest) this weed is going to make money- imagine all the people suffering pains using it.

However don't you think the government and all those HI-So society members don't even think about getting together to make money out of this new business venture?

Find someone who can get a licence you said, well, that someone have to be the Sino-Thai business people who have connection with the government. Can you penetrate that ring of business-government body. Only the Sino-Thai society has direct connection with the government- they are buddies, you don't know that?

Talking to others is a waste of time because the connection is not there, get what I meant?

The Sino-Thai society people and government officials address each other with their nicknames - that's how close they are.

If your beautiful daughter marries one of the sons of Hi-So society - that could start the connection - the wires are now connect with a connector.

I would not invest even 1 cent in Thailand... I would simply invest it in getting me the money out of LOS ASAP or simply spend it.

If only people think like you there wouldn't be a sucker born every minute in this world.

Everything seems good in Thailand you feel good too then the investment idea also sounds good. It seems and appears good because you haven't check it out and you have not talk to people who were rip off so to speak.

If I had a few million baht the only thing I'd invest it in would be a long term stay in a nice hut on Than Sadet hillside. I believe the Elite visa takes away all the hassles of staying long time.

No way I'd "invest" in any Thai business or anything to do with tourism, or property, and 100% NEVER in an individual Thai woman, as in getting married.

If only foreigners (whether white or color or brown- no racism intended) are careful like you they wouldn't be losing their millions of baht in Thailand.

In fact not only in Thailand, in many other countries too you will find that even the government will appear to side the culprits who took your money ,in spite of all proofs in court cases you still waiting for your money after winning the court case. It seems to take forever. Do you have to bribe someone to speed up the process you may finally ask yourself, feeling disgust with this thought.

Don't forget the court case will age you terribly because it would be a long drawn out court case-  your grudge and anger slowly take its toll on your mental health, especially when you see the thief shopping with his wife not a care in the world.

When you have money you have time, so do a good research no matter how troublesome it will be. Learn the laws of the country. Look at what happened to others.

Always remember Properties or Financial Investment Advertisements are drawn up by people who do research to find out your weak point and greed. What do you think their job is all about? To get you to part with your money!

I think the first consideration is the country's laws and how much do you really understand. When you heard or see someone making money do be careful. Nevertheless there are countries where you could invest your money with laws protecting your investment. (I don't think Thailand falls into this category - sad to say).

I know of at least one school where the girls never are alone!!!They are protected by other girls,

i was told one teacher there is always trying to touch young girls but they(the students)have been on to him for a long time.

The girls never go to the toilets alone, always in a group.

Still they have to wai these vermints.

No wonder kids are slowly starting to talk back at teachers and record everything.

All the girls have to do is to say loudly , "I have you on camera" though not directly to the face of the teacher, just loud enough for him to hear even at a distance.

  8. Invest in business in Singapore or Malaysia where the laws are in English that you can read, the contracts you sign are in English.

Does the law protects you in thailand? Do you trust your Thai lawyers? Rip off by lawyers in thailand are not unheard of.

In Singapore or Malaysia if you are not satisfied with the court case decision you could take the case to the Queen's counsel in England.

First rule in thailand do not invest your money here or even buy properties. Rent not buy.

There are many countries where you can enjoy living but you do not do business- why? Go check it out.

Oh I enjoy living in Thailand so much so I am going to invest my money here and enjoy even more. Wrong move. Enjoy living here is different from doing business here.

Invest your money in safe country near to Thailand so you can travel there to check on your business.

Have good Thai friends is very very good. Business? Well, look around , ask around you will find out.

  9. Have you forgotten you are in a police state?  Your memory take leave without telling you.

Thailand being a police state (has always been) will of course does what police state normally does. (i.e. keeping track of you)

Being a police state will keep those in authority in power, yes, it all boils down to power.

Oh, may be if you read a couple of books by Naom Chomsky you get what I meant.

By the way Naom Chomsky said-  America is a rogue state.

I believe there are only a few countries that are really democratic and free  (e.g. some scandinavian countries plus some small european states) the rest of the world are all police state. Some police state are very good at making the country looks democratic and even has election and free speech. (e.g. Singapore, a small tiny police state)

To put in simple words, say, if you form a government and you give real freedom of speech and follow democratic principle, you will soon be out of office. Because lots of people don't really understand democracy principle. Either the army will shoot you and take over or the opposition use nasty tactics to take over.

The intelligence of the citizens will determine if democracy will work in that country concerned.

Xi Ji Ping really wants to be emperor of China just that he is too shy to say so.(every chinese wants to be emperor of China since the beginning of time) Xi Ji Ping has changed the constitution and made his term of office without limit.

China considers Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma, Laos as younger brothers and China being the big brother looks after them. Vietnam war China provided many armaments and financial support. If you don't know this, then you haven't read enough of Chinese ancient history.

America should have invaded China 40 years ago now the US is talking nonsense about limiting Chinese power in the south china seas and those islands, it's too late. Why?  Because US is fading away. Have you ever seen an old sick lion on documentary films?

  10. The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted ( was it Einstein who said that?) Otherwise how could you enjoy yourself. For instance you talk to bar girls and everybody is laughing because they like your jokes. End of the day you tip her. She send money home in Essan for the sick buffalo (you forgot the buffalo? Oh,how could you.)

Is better than donating to the temple where ever so often the donation box is stolen by bad young men wanting to do what you do, i.e. talking to bar girls having a good time and tipping them end of the day.

I think a 4 year degree is time wasted.

Nothing wrong with getting a degree, but it could be condensed into one year.  So many unnecessary requirements that do not enhance ones ability to get a job or be successful.

Remembering back many years ago of course professors who loved to hear themselves talk 3 hour lectures when they could get the point across in 15 minutes.  4 years of girls wanting to experiment with their sexuality was the only redeeming value of it.

It is impossible to answer your question at this time. I personally doubt it very much.

You might be able to leave but getting back into Thailand might not be possible.

It is 500 baht a day up to a maximum of 20k baht.

Best to try and get a the 30 day extension with a letter from your embassy at immigration. What type of visa did you use for entry or was it visa exempt?

I am Malaysian. So under Asean members on first entry into the country I get a 30 days and need to renew and pay after it expires.

  13. For dogs lovers please excuse me. In circumstances like this I would pay someone to feed those dogs with tranquillizers put in bite size foods. It will put the dog to sleep or make them mild. Good isn't it?

Don't do it yourself otherwise the neighbour knows and you in trouble.

First check with the Vet doctor how much tranquillizer to use to calm the dog.  So don't overdose.

Because your neighbor don't follow the rules ,they don't control their dogs, it gives you the right to take action to calm their dogs. Just do it, like the NIKE says, Just do it!

  14. I entered Thailand on 26 February and in first week of March the lockdown started so I am being kept in this country.

Please, anyone knows if by 26 September the train from Bangkok to Penang would be available? I need to go to Penang. Or by air if possible.

If I stay over the date line of 26 September will I be fined 200 Baht a day? Is it 200Baht a day?

  15. Just imagine if you were on the Island and you had witnessed the murder and also had proof (pictures etc.,) would you dare to make a police report?

Would it be naif to think that the police will protect the witness?

I believe if you know the A to Z of how police do their job you will want to stay clear even if they say you will be protected as a witness.

There are quite a few other countries having the same problem, i.e. protection of key witness in murder cases.

My wife points out an Hired Assassin that works for the Police and frequents her moms coffee shop. She says he has killed scores of people.

A few years ago I had some issues with a Contractor ripping me off and went to the Police. They recommended a person who could solve the problem. The next day I got a call from a guy who wanted to have a coffee. The first thing he said to me was that he handled the "Dark Side" of issues. I did not like the contractor, but I certainly did not want that on my Karma.

Do so-called Hired Assassins in this country go around saying, "You got a job for me?" From what I am reading here it seems to be the case.

One fine day, someone will phone me and say, "your wife paid me 3,500 Baht up front to do you in, but if you add another 1,500 baht to round up the figure to 5,000 baht I could get rid of her for you. It's the best deal in town, go check it out "

  17. It appears in Thailand- ( please noted the exact words, "It appears")

    It appears:

    1. If you are in love with a Thai lady or a Thai man( straight or bend makes no difference), you are in danger: you are in danger because you are not aware of the danger in the first place.  Your darling never told you her ex-lover is very violent person and in the western hemisphere he or she would be considered mentally troubled person who need counseling .

    2. If you are doing business(with local partners) and luck is with you so you are making money all the time: bought yourself a new model german made car: You are in danger because business rivals are not happy with you, especially when you reject some of the joint venture business they propose to you. Of course you are clever enough to sense that the joint venture is a scam. But your sense of danger is not acute enough to save your life.

You are in danger if your business partner decide to team up with the someone to get rid of you.

    3. You are in danger when as a tourist you like to visit bars totally ignorant of how the gang members  in bars and nightclubs work in this country. Argue with the barman or bar manager to stand for your rights when in fact your legal right is somewhat in doubt. Apparently you do have legal rights. Just read over the history of foreigners who didn't seem to have legal right and end up in prison for years on end.

    3. It appears that your darling didn't tell you all that happened in the past which have bearing in the present on going life while you in all your innocence had to deal with some problems that crop up.

    4. If you are not aware that the laws in this country are not the democratic laws in country that you come from you are in danger.

As a retired man I live like a hermit, I don't go to bar, or girlie places. I don't get drunk. I don't get involve with local women. Then what's life you may ask. Isn't life boring like that?

Yes, Life is boring no matter how you look at it. Ask the rich people, they tell you they are bored despite all the money they have. Of course you need to know quite well before you could put this question to them.

Apparently it has to do with Buddhist beliefs, or so I am told. The idea is that the dog was a person in a previous life.

Yes, it's true. My previous flat owner from whom I rent the flat was a dog before he was re-incarnated as a person . I did all the minor repairs in the flat and he knew it. I didn't ask for any payment for those repairs done.

He didn't appreciate all I did, so I guess he will be a dog again next coming re-incarnation. He will be a street dog. He will come begging for food because he will recognize me. Then what happen? I kick him of course.

That kicking cause me to be re-carnated as a cat. A cat constantly chase by a dog. Suffering going round in circle. Did Buddha said that? Maybe, but that's the idea floating around these days.

4 inches up her stomach? Stab wound ? May be she had an operation due to difficult child birth. I really would like to do a research on nations that tell lies all the time.

When you asked for direction in Iran you always find the Iranians know exactly where you want to go, and they tell you how to get there.

In their culture it is rude to say "I am sorry, I don't know the way to go there".
