  1. Hi Guys we are now in KL and we went through immigration at Don muang hassle free, the only thing they asked my wife was,, Dont you want to get a re-entry visa? she no I have a new company to work with and immig officer said ok,, no problem and stamped on her passport... Well maybe because I think they are still not connected with the Labor Departments data base so it may be one reason..

Anyway Thank you all again,, Im thinking of how the visa application will be for tomorrow,, wish me luck again please ,,,THANK YOU !!

  2. If it was a multiple entry visa, with 90 day visa runs, you're absolutely fine.

If it was a extended visa, extended b/c of your work permit, you are in the grey zone now.

(Grey only, because your employer had no problems, and didn't 'tell' the immigration)

So: what visa do you have?

We are under 1 year extension visa... wife visa to end in Nov and mine to end in Decemebr

  3. Hi

Me and my wife are under temporary visa for 1 month (just renew nonB),, we are planning to travel on the 11th and we will be back on the 14th,, we have to go back to immigration by the 16th (dec), will there be any problems travelling out of LOS with regards to this temporary 1 month visa? Anybody had the same situation pleasemlet me know

    Thanks in advance

  4. I went in May to get a tourist visa and it very simple and straight forward.

Stayed at the "Pham Ngu Lao" area which has a lot of cafes and guesthouses. We stayed at the Ruby 3 Hotel which was about 30 dollars a night but there are heaps of others in the area. Ruby 3 seemed very new, clean and it had a bath which I liked. Taxi from the Hotel to the embassy was about 5 U.S. One of the guys at hotel reception wrote the address for me in Vietnamese to show the taxi driver.

On the way back just say to the taxi driver "Pham Ngu Lao" or show him the card of your hotel.

Trying to rip you off seemed normal hear the moment I got of the plane so be aware. Taxis from the airport to the hotel, they wanted 500,000 VND. I bartered them down to 300,000 VND and we had to share a cab with another person and drop them off first. On the return to the airport our meter taxi cost 100,000 VND.

One time a taxi driver said I gave him 10,000 VND when I'd actually given him 50,000 VND. After a small stand off he grinned and gave me the correct change.

All in all the scams are for small amounts, may be a dollar here or there so it's not a major deal at all. Just have fun and laugh and it'll work out.

Walking around Pham Ngu Lao is fairly easy, but getting around HCMC the best way is taxi.

Getting a tourist Visa done in HCMC is very simple we were literally the only people there so it was fast and easy, same went for picking up the next day.

Oh yeah and crossing the roads in an adventure, just make sure to keep walking as motorbikes will flow around you. Have fun!

    Thanks so much Tfc,,

One more questions,, Can we get re-entry Visa at SUwanabumi Airport already??

  6. Your Filipina partner would need a certificate of singleness from the Philippines you will have to apply it in the Philippines ( ask a relative on her side to apply for that),, This would take a long time since it has to go throught the Office of the president (malacanang palace), this is one of the headache my friend has to go through so decided to get married in the Philippines. So if yo have plans getting married in the philippines just do it there, lesser headache and waiting time. Hope this helps.

  7. go and see for your self, you only pay 100 baht for consultation with the Dr in Plastic surgery so you can have first hand experience when you talk to him, you can ask all your questions or send them an email [email protected] they will assign you to a coordinator who will arrange the appointment for you just let them know your arrival date. You can check out the hospital at www.yanhee.net... Again go DIRECTLY to the Hospital website,, otherwise you will end up with agencies that would take you there and some may charge you. Hope this helps

  8. You do n ot need an agency to get in touch with YANHEE HOSPITAL,, Just go to their website www.yanhee.net,, Destination beauty is an agency and they get commissions from the hospital. After taking their commission sorry to say but you will have to deal with your own problems, so just go straight to the hospital they will provide pick up from the airport, interpreters you can exchange email with, you deal DIRECTLY with hospital staff and if there is a problem the hospital will take care of you DIRECTLY! so my advise NOT RECOMMEND any agencies contact the hospital directly.
