They should just say no one is allowed to fly to Thailand until further notice.

All these knee jerk requirements are making it impossible to even keep up.

Exactly, here's a Headline - Emergency decree will remain until we figure it out or there is a vaccine !

I own a Condo in Thailand and have for over 20 years I would like to come back and stay in it when is that ever going to Happen.I have invested a lot of money into Thailand over the last 30 years .I think property owners should be allowed back in as we have to take care of the property.

Yes its unfortunate you have been overlooked and all the Non O Ret. folks with plenty of money in local banks.....

Migrant workers with 100k insurance...yeah right. Probably bringing them in so they have people to blame for an outbreak.

Elite - Good, they paid for the privilege.

Tourists - “Hey honey, want to go on vacation and spend the first 2 weeks in a hotel quarantine room doing nothing but being constantly monitored and tested?” “But...I only have 2 weeks of vacation time....”.

A corona free country OR selectively let some people in which will ultimately result in out of control local transmission. Can’t have it both ways.

What about Non O ret. folks ?

Is this a joke? I have wife, son and house  in Bangkok and I just tried to come back to stay with my family. what a joke. Had ticked and insurance and looked for a government quarantined hotel. All booked solid through August, September,October, November. Good fnk luck. They make it so difficult it is nearly impossible. Also 5 star quarantine hotels picked by the government. 2 weeks would probably have cost me 80K to stay. Whats wrong with a one star, you ant go anywheres anyway. I'am sure there is a little tea money involved. Wife keep asking me when are you coming back? Who the hell knows?

yes its very close to a JOKE, sorry to hear that.

I think that is an extreme guess. Even a year is going to far I think. As a I wrote above the Thai Elite may be part of the next group.

Those with valid extensions based upon retirement or OA visas could be included later.

Ok Joe, always been wondering when the forgotten Non O Ret. folks would be considered!!!!

The Thai elite and Non-immigrant O (retirement) crowd stuck out of Thailand right now is very small... Elite have paid for their status, and retirees have also invested heavily in Thailand... they deserve to be let back in.

Agreed, if Elite are being considered they better look at Non O ( Ret ) as well, condo owners, renters, etc, people with hefty bank accounts who are stuck abroad. ( surprised thats not been looked at yet - bank accounts )

  7. Dont forget about Canada eh. Our numbers aren't too bad, were only a couple countries above China at the moment on worldometers virus count, and they have a green light it appears, very low in British Columbia Canada where I'm stuck. Keeping in contact with THAI embassy here thats all us Non O Multi folks can do at the moment. Something will happen in August/September I think.

Retirees are considered 'temporary visitors for purposes other than tourism', so there's no priority there.

If you left for work, you are technically not really retired, are you?

In addition, leaving for an extended period of time in mid Feb really wasn't a very clever decision either.

Correct, technically not retired, 28/28 work rotation, unfortunately had to work 42 days, Airport was closed by then. Continuing to wait ........

  9. I've been renting in BKK 5 years now, Non 0 visa - extensions based on retirement with multiple entry. Left BKK Feb. 17 to work, unable to return to Thailand after work.  Has the Thai government even considered those with Non O retirement extensions???? Mine is still valid luckily.  Has not been mentioned yet from what I have seen, should be grouped with the marriage visas yes ?  Your thoughts Ubonjoe?
