  1. Hello, Has anyone recently done their application at Chaengwattana for their marriage extension. Mine expired in November 2021 and I am now having to complete a new application and just wanted to know if there are any unusual requests I can expect. Below is what I have prepared in duplicate and I have a confirmed appointment for tomorrow afternoon. Prepared documents TM7 form with recent photo Passport photo page Non immigrant e visa, entry stamp page, TM6 both sides and TM30 Copy of previous marriage extension stamps but not every page of my passport with other Thai entry/exit stamps Marriage certificates as required (Thai) Spouse ID and passport Blue book and title deed for our condo but not sure if I need my wife's house registration as she is still registered at her mums Map of our condo location Photos of me and wife - Outside condo building showing building name, outside our condo apartment showing unit number, kitchen, bedroom, lounge and I also include a couple from wedding day last time they took. Tomorrow I will get letter from bank showing seasoned 400k for 2 months and 6 months bank statement and my book updated and I will copy every page of bank book as they requested this last time. If there is anything I have missed please let me know and on your views on whether to include copies of every page of passport with Thai stamps and if my wife house registration is required? Also what are your views on requiring another visit from immigration police as part of the process its not an issue but I will be away for two weeks whilst the extension is under consideration. Thanks for any help.
  2. It should be ok because you will show that you are leaving from another country to Thailand on the application.
  3. You will need to do the three simple tests at the center plus either watch the video online answering the questions. You will need documents and if in Bangkok its day 1 to check all documents and then they offer a return date normally one week later for tests and license replacement. You need a certificate of residence and medical report as part of the documents.
  4. Has anyone done the extension at Bangkok recently as mine expired last November when I was out of the country I have entered on a Non Immigrant O and need to start the process again, I wanted to know if its still walk-in at Chaengwattana or you need an appointment to apply. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi I renewed mine a couple of weeks ago I am on a non O visa. You need a medical report from a Thai hospital or clinic to say you are fit to drive they have the necessary documents this must be no older than 1 month, a resident permit from immigration or your embassy confirming your address, copy of your home country and existing Thai license both sides of each, and a copy of your passport detail page, visa page, entry stamp and any other stamps in your passport since your last entry to Thailand and lastly a copy of both sides of TM6. Also if you have done the online video and questionnaire you need to have a copy of the completion with reference details if not you can do at the test centre on 2nd trip but takes two hours so better to do online. They open between 8-8.30am it changes daily and they only process 30 foreigners a day so get there around 7.30am. They will check your documents and if correct will give you an option of dates to comeback to take the three tests and to do the application, normally it 7-10 days after first trip but some have waited 3-4 months. I had to wait about 7-8 days between document check and actual application. Hope this helps.
  6. As I understand the 23rd May is only a date by which she must enter the UK for her visa to be valid. The date to leave is given by immigration on entry and UK is normally 180 days stay for Thais but can sometimes be shorter if your return ticket is an earlier date than 180 days. Check with others but my wife normally holds a multiple entry tourist visa and that's how it works for her.
  7. I suggest you go back it may well be that you went just as they had reopened for foreign applicants. They only accept around 35 applications a day but on the day I went there was about 25 you have to go early as they open at 8am and close as soon as 30 are processed at which point if you are approved you are given a date to return. Everyone was given options within a week, after they check documents they showed me a three three day calendar and asked me to choose a time. When I returned one week later i was in and out in about 40 minutes.
  8. I went there two weeks ago and they checked my documents and invited me back 1 week later, i now have my renewed license. Maybe new licenses are different.
  9. Look at AXA Thailand also much cheaper than TGIA but not sure on age coverage.
  10. I know of two Rajawongse a couple of shops past the landmark hotel heading towards Soi 4 and Barons on the opposite side of the road between Soi 3&5 or 5&7 both close to Nana station.
  11. I went along to renew mine today but no requirement for covid. I went to Bangkok at Chatuchak, They check all your documents but you cant actually renew on same day the earliest I was offered was 3rd Feb to comeback that was busy so I chose 4th Feb morning to do the 3 or 4 simple tests and get a new license issued. They give you an appointment date and time so when you return its straight to 1st floor to complete the process. No foreigners were allowed straight in today. In case you are planning on going we got there at 7.20am there was 9 in front of us and they open at 8am. They have a quota of 40 foreigners a day and there was around 30 applicants by the time we left at 8.30am.
  12. Normally smaller spaces command a higher selling or rental price in commercial real estate. Unsure if this is true in residential.
  13. How can a hotel make a decision to change reason of stay from AQ to test and go. They have to abide by the Thailand pass so just be careful on your expectations when arriving in Thailand, after exiting the plane your documents are reviewed at a checkpoint before immigration and they want to see the Thai pass and hotel details if one says AQ and another test and go you may be challenged, or you may be sent on your way who knows? Make sure your hotel will honor the test and go or you will end up in AQ anyway. I don't see how they can change reason for stay.
  14. It actually states on front of the Thai pass what is what approved for IE Alternative quarantine or test and go so I suggest you contact Thai pass admin and ask if you can enter under an alternative method.
  15. For the flight you could just put in a flight number of an airline and time you would take if visa approved. When I did mine last month I had a ticket so added that number but from memory there was no requirement to upload this onto the UK online visa application. In HK if you have to go to the consulate you may be asked for hard copy but online its not required to be uploaded,
  16. She was never questioned? When you apply for Thai pass one requirement is insurance for foreigners but its not on list for Thais. The only time insurance is asked for apart from applying for Thai pass is after you exit the aircraft in Thailand there is a team set up to check your all covid test, insurance and hotel documents before you arrive at immigration it an additional step so they will never ask for insurance.
  17. It is not required for Thais returning home. I have just entered Thailand with my Thai wife this week into quarantine in Bangkok.
  18. Bangkok hospital is excellent. I used it in July last year. test at 8am back by 4pm but or arrived at 1pm. You have to pay extra for same day.
  19. Is it still required that you travel direct to Phuket from another country or can you transit at Suvarnibhum?
