with borders closed, limited flights out, how would you expect the "expats" to leave by the 26th? Teleport? Elon Musk to the rescue perhaps?

I don't think you overstays will be a problem.
I think maybe the case that caused that paragraph stating the visa sticker was not done was when a person was on a overstay when they went to immigration. If I recall correctly that person did get a refund after pushing it a bit.
seriously?

Come September 1st, Singapore will allow certain tourists from countries Like Brunei and New Zeland to enter its borders without any restrictions.Only need a Covid-swap at the airport and that's it.
Other countries like China,Malaysia can enter and observe a 7day SHN instead of 14days.That's something the Junta here should take note of and follow suit.

All Farangs to leave by the 26Sep and now 4 days later extending their so-called Emergency laws...Wow! That's great. What's new from Chan Mali Chan.

Such a pay to stay scheme would have been great if they had said towards the end of June that they won't extend the amnesty beyond July 31st but will transition to paid-for extensions. People could have planned with that and I guess a good number of those who were still in Thailand would have gone for it.
I think in September it would come too late for most. As immigration told affected foreigners to "get out or extend", most will have done one or the other by late September, as the prospect of overstay is looming.
well said. Your intelligence is clearly shown here.

What's about to happen on the 26Sep remains to be seen. Will it be just another fiasco of sort yet again? Or will the fan finally hits the ceiling.Exodus of "Farangs" from Thailand.I pray not in all honesty. It's another fellow human being we are talking about. Perhaps Chan Mali Chan makes a u-turn once again. So, stay if u must or leave it to the Courts.

If she had been serious about it being due to it not being a official order she could of insisted you do then and there and had you pay the 2000 baht fine.
Perhaps you should read the ministerial order if you think I am wrong.
WOW>>>>>someone 's getting <deleted> today.

Not sure how they can still say that today is the 86th day without a domestic case if he tested positive after having been released from quarantine and been out in the public. However, I am awaiting a retraction of the story and for it to just disappear.
The first Covid-19 case outside the state quarantine area was found on Wednesday (August 19) – the 86th day for Thailand without a domestic case.

Yes it seems they are.
Based on my research in the last few hours it seems my options are:
Apply for Elite card
Book a business class seat on a repatriation flight as apparently the majority of economy tickets are prioritised to Thai nationals
Receive visa when I arrive, then undergo 14 day Quarantine at an approved Hotel from the list
All this hassle just to enter Thailand. It's baffling but that's Thailand for you.I'm sure it's worth it.

I would have taken it additional to my travelling insurance. Looks okay to a decent price, but limited and need as I said additional insurance.
This is the answer from Luma regarding me jumping on the offer, and finding out it do not cover me, and this is the options she suggest for us who is living here. Cind of stupid, since we who live here should be less risk to implement, than anyone who travelling from abroad. I already have one year insurance, but it does not cover covid, and I can not add on any extras.

Thank you for your email and well noted.
Your understanding for LUMA THAILAND PASS (travel insurance) is correct.
However, we do also have health insurance plans to propose for Thai residents as attached called Asia Care Plus Thailand.
Option A covers in-patient treatments with an annual limit of THB 32M/year/person:
- Total annual premium = THB 70,044
Option B covers in-patient with an annual limit of THB 32M/year/person and out-patient with an annual limit of THB 192,000/year/person + health check-ups + vaccinations:
- Total annual premium = THB 135,525
Option C covers in-patient with an annual limit of THB 32M/year/person and out-patient with an annual limit of THB 32M/year/person + health check-ups + vaccinations:
- Total annual premium = THB 150,831
Looking forward to your feedback.
Best regards,"
