  1. I want to find a document which I typed, then printed out, in Google Drive about 4 years ago. I have gone to Drive>Google Docs and the page is blank. I know that the document is there somewhere because I saw it in a list a few days ago, but I don't know where I saw it. I find Google Drive so frustrating. Whenever I try to find something it never seems to be where I expect it to be, then when I'm looking for something else it will appear. Could somebody point me in the right direction, please. Regards, thoengthaied.
  2. When I first posted I turned off "use network provided time". I have just turned it on again and hey presto the time has re adjusted to display correctly. So all seems good again. Thanks for your help, mtls2005 and Doctor Tom. Till next time!
  3. My phone is a Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro Zoom. I don't know if I'm using a widget or not! I'm not tech savvy. I first noticed this discrepancy about a week ago.
  4. I can usually rely on the time displayed on my smartphone but recently the time has been displaying 3 minutes late. My SIM card is supplied by AIS. Can anybody explain why I might be having this problem, or is everybody having the same issue? For instance, right now my phone is displaying 10:30 but my laptop is displaying 10:33. Google (on my phone) gives 10:33 as the time in Thailand. Regards, thoengthaied.
  5. After downloading the app and converting to English language I thought "great". However shortly after I was bombarded with ads from Lazada. I uninstalled.
  6. I'm now on my 2nd. chromebook. The first one was an Acer 15 inch and I substituted it for an Asus 15 inch only because there is a limit to the number of years that Chrome guarantees free upgrades. The Acer was a more robust machine and the Asus on which I'm typing now has a bit more "tinny" feel. However, I have been very happy with both of them. It has been a learning curve, for sure, and sometimes in the beginning I got frustrated with one or two functions that the chromebook couldn't perform. However, there's always been a workaround and I rarely get issues now I understand more. I bought the first one from a guy who advertised it on Craigslist. It was surplus to requirements as his company had brought several to Thailand for a school project. The second one I bought from the US on Amazon and had it shipped here. If I had to replace my current model I would probably look at Amazon again.
  7. OK. Get an agent. But where does someone find an agent in UK, please?
  8. If worse comes to worst, having already been triple vaccinated, having booked and paid for both his air ticket (with Qatar from Manchester to BKK) and having already booked his hotel accomodation in an SHA++ hotel, could he take the flight then enter Thailand without the Thailand Pass but accepting maybe a longer period of quarantine?
  9. I've just been talking to my friend on Line. He has another friend with him in the UK and he's tried to do another application on his friend's laptop. His friend is connected by data, not through my friend's wifi. They are having problems getting in to the Thailand Pass application because, as far as I can understand, it's still asking for the Access Code given yesterday which he doesn't have a record of. He's really stumped now. Any further suggestions from you guys here?
  10. Apologies, guys. I didn't explain clearly enough that he had not completed the application before he inadvertently closed the tab with the access code in it, so he didn't and would not have received an email saying that he had registered. Would it be best to just submit another application?
  11. Lost Access Code. My friend in UK has asked me to ask this forum for help....He started the application for Thailand Pass yesterday and then inadvertently logged out or closed the tab which had given him the Access code. Now he cannot get back into the application without that access code. Apparently they warned that he should keep the access code, but to email for help if he lost it. He emailed to [email protected] last night (UK time) and has received no reply as yet this morning (UK time). He is panicking now and that's why he's asked me to help. Could anybody suggest what to do further, or should he just wait for a reply to his email? He tells me that he is only allowed 2 attempts at applying for the Thailand Pass and doesn't want to mess up again! Regards, thoengthaied.
  12. Not experiencing any problems at all. I haven't asked my provider if my sim is 5G compatible, and I presume I'm not enrolled in a 5G plan. Since I bought my current phone about 2 years ago I haven't changed anything. All is working fine. I am just curious after having read somewhere about 5G compatible sim cards. I have 2 sim cards in my phone. One for normal use and the other for data.
  13. I have a 5G compatible smartphone. Is it necessary to change my sim card which I've had for 10 years to a 5G compatible Sim?
  14. Thepprasit road is just about the most dangerous road in the area. That, combined with construction guys who finish their work and leave without considering the consequences of their untidy work, and Grab taxi delivery drivers who are rushing to get their delivery done and are oblivious of the other road users. No consideration of consequences among Thai people. Recipe for disaster. Oh, I forgot to mention that there is no law enforcement.
  15. "I eventually found an email for Agoda" Could you please share that email.
  16. after falling off of the back of a truck carrying concrete blocks I guess I would have fallen off the truck if I'd been carrying concrete blocks!
  17. I need to travel to central Bangkok on Sunday 16th. Jan from Pattaya area. I will catch a bus from Jomtien to the airport then want to catch the airport rail link to Makkasan. at about 1pm. Looking at the timetable on the website the timetable FROM the airport to the city is blank for holidays and weekends. Can somebody please assure me that the trains are running on Sunday and perhaps comment on anything that might be relevant in these Covid times. Regards, thoengthaied.
  18. This morning I phoned to both Bangkok Pattaya hospital and Banglamung hospital. I am a patient at BPH and had my first two vaccines there. They told me that they do not have supply from the government yet for a booster. Wait for announcement from them on facebook, or their own website. My first vaccine was AZ and my second was Pfizer on 29th. September. Banglamung hospital told me I have to wait 6 months for a booster after the Pfizer vaccine. She said that if I don't believe her I should go to the indoor sports stadium on Chaiyaphreuk 2 tomorrow Thursday 30th. Dec. where they have the booster and will treat 500 people. So the information given in the link above appears to be incorrect.
  19. Ch. Numchai shop with yellow frontage on Thepprasit close to soi 9. The name of the proprietor is Top. I think he is the son of big Numchai bike shop in Naklua on Sukhumvit so good back up. Speaks excellent English.
  20. I travelled by car 3,300 km. from 9th. Nov. to 18th. Nov. Pattaya to Chaiyaphum, Phetchabun, Chiang Rai, Chiang Khong, Phitsanulok and back to Pattaya. I was stopped only once and the officer only asked where I was going. At none of my pre-booked hotels was I ever asked for a certificate of vaccination. However, at a barbecue restaurant in Phitsanulok I was asked for my certificate by the doorman before being allowed to enter.
  21. Brilliant! Thank you Isan Farang. So, the White Temple is on highway 1? edit...Ah! OK. I was getting lazy. I have just looked at Maps and see that it is on the 1208.
